finding a ring like that is one of the reasons we are hooked on mudlarking I would say that’s looks Anglo Saxon and it will end up on display in a museum.fantastic
That would be nice! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Such a Beautiful Gold Ring..it does look old! ✅ Find of the Year
Cheers Tom 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Lovely video with lots of awesome findings and backed by historical information. I really enjoyed watching the beautiful video. Lovely GOLD ring 💍 ✨️ 💛.
Enjoy and stay warm 😊
With love from SAM

Cheers Sam! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
@@Sifinds Thank you 😊 🙏
Very nice ring hope you get it back sooner rather than later.
Sweet Henny Pennys there. Those hens were beautiful.
That sound is eerie. 😮 that's what whales sound like under water. Threw me a bit since your onland.
Si, I think one of your chickens needs its beak trimmed.
Lovely finds and a beautiful ring.
Awesome find m8 beautiful gold ring 💍 bet your heart was racing then.
I just couldn't believe it! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
The sterilised milk bottles used to have very long necks I recall.
Cool👍🏻🐾🧡
was that a roman pot at the end of the video?
You’ll have to wait and see!
That ring is gorgeous! Reminds of Pompeii jewelry. :D
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
That ring was a beautiful find. I never get tired of watching your videos. It has kept me entertained as I sit by my husband side while he is battling cancer. You keep it interesting to me by all the different locations you go to and the company you keep especially when accompanied by Nicole. Also love the history of all the wonderful finds, can’t say enough about all the wonderful things you do and share. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.

🙏❤️🩹🌹 Do hope he is doing well. My dad fought AML for almost 5 years. My mom was his caregiver & we all tried to help amap. Most don't understand how isolating it is to care for another with cancer. You have to stay well & they can't be exposed to anything so that leaves you home all the time on call to help your spouse. Nobody had commented so I thought I'd acknowledge your comment because I know you don't get out much. I am disabled now myself with tons of Autoimmune & it's so isolating. We watch these videos to have adventures because we can't right now. Hugs from California.😊🌸💕
Christy...keeping you and your husband in my prayers.....best wishes to both of you❤️🌹
Thanks for the kind words, sending you lots of positive energy to help you through this difficult time 🧡
I took care of 2 mothers in law, then my husband, and now my oldest son is caring for me. So I KNOW how isolating illness can be. Both for the caregiver as well as the one needing care.
@@josephinemonahan915 thank you!
Si, what a beautiful ring! Can't wait to be taken along to see the recording of it with the museum. Your kitties are adorable, love when you include them in your videos. That eerie sound, sounds like whale song to me. I have an hour long recording of whale song. It's really lovely to play if you're having trouble sleeping. I think it's a hauntingly, beautiful sound. As I almost always say, a great Sunday morning with a mudlarking video to start the day. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Cheers Beth! Not sure we have many whales in the Medway lol
@Sifinds Whale song carries a long way, soooooooo...but it might be something else. That's just what it sounds like to me.
The ring looks like a Medieval Stirrup Ring !! Well done 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🥂🌟
Spot on. Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
A very elegant ring, Si - looks like Roman to me. I also think the stone could be a type of ruby called a Pigeon's Blood ruby - because the pinkish tone to it, is the same colour as .... pigeon's blood. This type of ruby is extremely rare now, but it used to be as common as the usual red ruby, right up to Victorian times. Now though, the mines in Myanmar (Burma) for this gem are all becoming depleted. If the Museum decides they want to acquire it, I bet it would be agony, handing it over - no matter how much money they paid you!
Cheers Polly! That sounds interesting about the stone x
Beads, Kitties, & Chicks who could ask for more! Loved how you explained how the museum works with finds. It was really interesting hearing about the process. Looking forward to hearing about the ring. Well done!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Nice one Si, hey to Nellie, Daisy and the girls. 🍁👏🇨🇦
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Who are the girls? His kitties?
@@thecatsmeowfromny his chickens, he calls them his girls.🍁
Superb stuff! The ring, OMG, I just kept making weird grunts of joy noises!!!! You (and Nicola) are the highlight of my Sundays, . . . I don't get out much ! lol, no, thank you so much.
Aw thanks for the support Jane! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
That ghost sounds like an ancient "elemental" force/energy.
It does 👻
I agree, it does look Roman, in its simplicity Si. 👍👍👍👍👍
Another great video. I think the strange noise you captured on film was made by the seal / sea lion. Congratulations on finding the beautiful gold ring
Cheers, dunno about the seal theory, they were miles away x
Whale? 😅 faraway boat horn ? Anyway, that was beautiful!
Thanks so much, Simon, for regularly joining us in the comment section. It makes me feel welcome and appreciated.❤
The ring…what a find!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My pleasure! I love chatting to you all, cheers mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Amazing the ghostly sound is a whale. 100%
It does sound a little like a whale, problem is, they were no where near water deep enough for whales. And if you listen to whale recordings, their sound is much more drawn out , louder and with different pitches. Also nether Si nor his friend heard the sound at the time. What it is I'm not sure, but you never know.
Yes, it could it still be a whale, the ground is saturated with water, and I think the sound would travel by vibration to the camera legs just the same. So I agree. Other guessed is just air bubbles escaping the mud that the tripod was set in.
I really enjoy it when you tie in history/advertisement with forgotten😊 finds in muck etc..
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Thanks
Oh my, thank you Penny! I hope you're having a wonderful day my angel
The ring is so beautiful and the loveliest thing you have found. The quality is amazing and the design, is timeless. I would wear that forever and a day. I hope they give it back to you as I'm sure it will catch someone's eye whilst in their care, just as well that you can trust them.
Omg that ring my heart skipped a beat. Well done
Cheers Lil 😊👍🏻👣🧡
19:25 - that certainly did sound like a child's voice. too hard to understand what it said, but I bet my false teeth that's a child's voice 😊😉
Gorgeous little ring. Love the shape and stone color
Gorgeous ring! Looks like an uncut, polished ruby. There's a very ancient look & wear to it. If only it could speak, I'd love to hear it's story. 💍
It would probably moan about the government of the day, nothing much has changed.
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
great lark as always and well jealous of the gold ring wow awsome 😶🙂😀love the green bead . and the blue one is a corker . great find the lady bird we did find one a while back lovely to see another one come up
Cheers guys!!!
Sounds like a whale. But stranger things have happened maybe the spirits just wanted to say hi 😊 i love the ring, the stone looks like amethyst. Treasure or not that ring would go on my finger 😂😂😂 i hope you get it back 🤞
Spoooooky! I'm surprised you haven't caught a lot of strange noises from spirits remaining on the Thames! I believe!
I know!
Certainly sounded like a child's voice.. I would play with sound and make it slower and faster to see if you hear any words
The voice sounded female ? Interesting.....
EVERYONE PLEASE HIT THAT LIKE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Fuppin get in there son
Agree mate it looks like it could be roman 🥳🥳🥳🥳💚🤬😂
Si thats 14th century ring im saying. It's just like the one my mate had and museum told him 14th century.. brilliant find mate and brilliant video as always 💪💪💪
Ah nice one Tony lad!! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Love your uploads!!! Also that marble I got from your Etsy store is amazeballs 😂
Yay! So glad it got a lovely new home! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Looks Medieval stirrup type gold ring. Good luck with the treasure process. I have had many go through over the years, three in system at present. Min three year process🙈👍
I hear ya, cheers Simon
that ring is absolutely beautiful
Giv’em a THUMBS UP
Great video, I love it when you go out on the hovercraft..Great finds, I love the ring, it looks like the stone is amethyst…😊
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Great find on the ring, as you say,, happy days!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
good luck getting that back from the FLO - loads of stories about items going missing/lost
Sadly yes
Just found this channel and what a channel it is! My new obsession! Love from County Durham
Cheers Rick! Enjoy mate and tell ya mates 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wow! That ring is a beautiful find! I do hope the museum returns it to you.
Me too, thanks Karen!
Bling ring! Love the hovercraft episodes❤❤❤❤
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
The ring is beautiful in any century. The ghostly noise sounds like wind blowing across a bottle top. I love the history you always research for us.
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
As much as I am a believer in spirits, the eerie sound you heard was the jet over head descending through the clouds. They always catch me off guard! So I think you’re spiritually safe with that ring. Great find, truly luck in the muck!
Phew... Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
found a beautiful ring, lots of mud, u're kind of day!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Is it a seal making that noise? Love the ring.😀
That ring is simple yet beautiful. What a find!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Amazing ring! And I do wonder if that's a ruby? I doubt it's a garnet, it's got that brilliant fuchsia color that some rubies can have and decent clarity too. Beautiful work. I hope you find out soon where it came from and what its age might be.
As for cod liver oil, my parents never forced me to take it (though my grandmama did a few times, along with chamomile tea until I hated the stuff) but once I had it as a day-before-surgery premed and had to drink TWO OUNCES of the damn stuff in one go. I think my life passed before my eyes; everything else in my system sure did, so why not? Ugh.
Love the ring Wendy made for you-- that is just perfect! Marvelous garnet, too.
Sounds like a whale
Wonderful ring, and great finds. Like your videos . From shirley from new Bern, north carolina u.s.a. ❤❤😮🎉🎉😅😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊
What a beautiful ring. Well done.
That noise sounded like a whale, celebrating you having a whale of a time. 😂
haha! it did Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
I do believe you have found real treasure this time Si!
I’m looking forward to part two.
Sounded like a whale
That ring is just lovely!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
The ring looks more Viking but wtf do I know? Lol. Nice find
And the sound on b roll was probably a sound you could barely hear but the mic picked it up and you didn't know to look for it. 99.999 % of all those "ghostly" sounds are easy to explain away
That ring is gorgeous, good luck with the museum 🤞
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Hovercraft mudlarking... Hoverlarking? Or mudcrafting, though it is probably something different
It amazes me how those little hovercrafts dot pop on the rocky parts!
Congrats on your gold ring, Si! Magnificent find!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Sweet find, fingers crossed it's good news from the Flo.Ive still got Kirby's pinball amoungst others on the OG Gameboy.
AMAZING GOLD RING!!!👏👏👏🤩
Beautiful kittys ❤❤
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
That ring is very very old. In 1906, they started requiring jewelers to stamp the quality of gold on the item. And that gold was molded around this stone instead of, Having a place setting for it. If I had to guess, I would say that ring is between three hundred and six hundred years old.
Love the mudflat larks! So exciting, never know whats hiding. Thanks for taking us along.
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
that is spooky
A Roman ring!! How cool is that! Thank you for taking us along on your Mudventures :)
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡 (medieval I think)
Thanks for the video, definitely got cod liver oil when I was a kid, YUCK 🤮. Some interesting finds there, the ring is awesome,😮 definitely an Entity close by you, interesting indeed!!😎👻👻👻👻🇬🇧
The BTC also owned road hauliers- Pickfords and much was grouped into what became known as British Road Services although Pickfords kept its name- it had been founded in the 17th century but Carter Paterson- another well-known haulier just disappeared into BRS. I can remember people saying when asked to move things: "Do you think I am Carter Paterson?" When British Railways brought out their first express passenger loco it was called Britannia- but the second one was called Lord Hurcomb to honour the first chairman of the new British Transport Commission. A few years later, the second chairman, Sir Brian Robertson got a brand new "Warship Class" diesel named after him- which was funny as he had been a general- not an admiral!
Wow! Personally though I think if you found it, it's yours. Yes examine and analyse it, but it should be yours.
Amazing finds! I don’t think they should be able to keep anything you mudlarkers find. I like the old saying Finders keepers, Losers Weepers”. I think you should all get together and open your own Mudlarkers Museum! You put in all the time and work and they swoop in and take it. Nah, no good. The ring was beautiful! If I ever hit the Mega Lottery Si, you get to quit your job so you can mudlark all the time and post more videos 😊
At 9:12, what a beautiful gold ring & purple stone' ... a treasure maybe ? ...
For me my treasure is in a relationship with Christ Jesus'
Mark 8:36,
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul ?
Whales, lol
Spooky remember the M R James story 'Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad'. Be careful what you find!
What an incredible find Si! Beautiful old ruby ring, and it makes you wonder about the woman who wore it! What was she like and who was she? Did you get any vibes from it when you first picked it up? 🙏🙏🙏❤❤
The gold ring is beautiful and seems very Roman, and that noise you caught was just creepy. It sounded like a young child. 😳 👻 Some great finds 😊
The sound had an eerie echo to it. Almost childlike. Very spooky! LOVE the ring Si! 👻💍
Well a lot to unpack from this one . The spooky sound made my blood run cold 😮
Probably one of the seals seen earlier in the footage........or.....maybe not.
Interesting story on that button. That bottle is nice with those depressions on it. What a beautiful little ring. Have you been ‘rewarded’ by the museum for any of your finds? Lovely poison bottle. That sound reminds me of a whale. You have the DeKuyper bottle and now find the stopper, that’s awesome. Such a pretty little milk glass bottle.
The “ghostly” sound you heard was a plane… my guess is an A320 in a turn as the fuel vent under the wing can make this exact sound. I live about 20 miles from a busy international airport and I’ve heard it many times!
Yes, I had cod liver oil every morning before the start of primary school, given out by the school nurse, one spoon full of each child, and the same spoon for every child and not washed in-between so no chances of speading diseases around hahahaha but seriously I still have cod liver today as it helps with rheumatoid arthritis cheers si for another excellent and you can keep your ghostly noises just creepy 😊
Oh poor you, cheers Luke±
2 things Simon.
It’s pronounced “De Kyper”
And your chicken need a beak trim, without it, it’s hard for her to feed
x fee
The treasures u find should be yours unless it's a hoard of coins! Government rules????? So I think that ghost 👻👻 was a wake mate far away but pretty sure it was a whale! 🌬️🌬️
That voice you picked up sounds like a child 😢. Too bad you didn't ask questions and maybe got a name. Luv the beautiful ring you found.❤
Yes, there was another emulsion names Angier’s Emulsion.....every morning we got a spoonful 😂
Sounds like a whale 🐋
Yes, I was forced to take cod liver oil. 🤮(I'm old) It must have worked because I don't have rickets!
That sound was creepy! Obviously neither of you heard anything (didn’t look up/around to see where sound came from). The only thing I can think of is either a glitch in your sound, like the recording dragging or something, or some sound from deep underground or deep in the ocean. Best bet it’s an issue with the sound on your camera, but I secretly hope it was a ghost 👻
Aloha Simon! I learned from your friend Nicola White"s video that when you come upon Roman Jewelry or stashes of gorgeous pottery that the area may be a Roman grave. The items are "Grave Goods." Could that be the sad Ring owner on Camera? You might want to return to check for a "Hoard."😉
Wow😎
An absolutely stunning ring!💪🏻👍🏻
I don't know if Halloween is big in the UK as it is in Canada or the US, but I could see those barnacle encrusted poison bottles selling well .....just cool looking with the aged, weathered
Ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh Bert..... This is going to go off like a rocket..! 👌
Cheers Bert! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
I love watching your videos but your background music is so creepy that I dare not watch in the evening👻😱
The green GB … may be you cut just where the break is may have made a Vase. There you go could be a new line…I heard a couple in France say it’s real hard to buy vases especially quirky ones.
Well done si but now you have curse of the gold remember to give something back can't keep taking maybe a handful of copper coins😉
