The "Already / Polaroid / Escape" trio of songs are very emotional. It gets more emotional when you know that this is the groups first full album following the loss of Soojin. These 3 songs in particular seem to be about that whole situation and the healing that came after.
I totally agree with that. Polaroid and Escape especially seem to relate to both Soojin. I have always loved how they write their songs so that there are so many layers of meaning to them
For Escape, Minnie actually said she wrote the song thinking of her members and the fans that were going through a hard time, it really feels like a hug, there's no other way to explain it
So, Tomboy, Never Stop Me, Villain Dies and My Bag were written, composed and produced by Soyeon Already and Escape were written, composed and produced by Minnie Polaroid and Liar were written, composed and produced by Yuqi I really love Polaroid but for me it's too sad because there is a fan theory (if you even can call it a theory) that Polaroid was written about Soojin because she had lots of Polaroid photos and she really loved them Also when you're going to listen to I Love album, you need to know that story in this album goes from bottom to the top. If trying to understand the story otherwise it won't make much sense
"Bottom to top"... Nami means that you should listen to the song tracks in reverse order. Start with "Dark" (the last song) then work backwards through the songs and end with "Love".
I don't think it's a simple theory : reading Polaroid lyrics, even before knowing about other fans react, i immediatly think about soojin and her photos.
Almost forgot. "My bag" song and lyrics are Soyeon showing off the "Red five diamonds" in her bag. Her diamonds are Minnie, Yuki, Miyeon, Shuhua, and then Soyeon stands silent and motionless for the first half of the final chorus for Soojin... her 5th diamond.
"Villain dies" is fun. Seems like a take on a classic hero/villain battling for the love of the heroine love but from the villains perspective, plus a fourth wall break with the villain talking about the author who is writing the story.
Great album, I liked every song. gidle just doesn't get enough credit. They are an amazingly talented group both on stage and in the studio. Soyeon is going to be the CEO of her own company one day, she's brilliant. More gidle reactions please. Choose anything, they don't make bad music.
I love this reaction and interpretation! This album came at a really uncertain time in their career; they thought this was the very last comeback because of the Soojin scandal. It’s very meaningful for them and their fans :) I hope you get a chance to listen to more gidle albums! My favorite is the one before this, and right before the Soojin scandal, called “I Burn.” The vibes are immaculate (lonely, dark, winter-y).
I can only imagine how sad and tough the situation was :/. And the fact that they can use their emotions to create something so magical is purely amazing!🩵 I am so excited to get through their discography! 🔥🌼
If you're planning to listen to "I Love" album, Soyeon suggested that you should start listening to the album track no 6 "Dark (X-file)" to the title track "Nxde," so you will understand the album. Btw I love your reaction and interpretation.
I can never really listen to Polaroid and Escape much. I tear up every time because, aside from the fans and the remaining members, it feels like they were written with Soojin in mind as well. Which is probably true knowing I-DLE.
After seeing you tearing with Escape i can't say less than: welcome... Welcome to Neverland.😊❤️ Our girls come back from a really dark place with this gift for us, for everyone, to help us to heal. They're gonna be there for you always you need them. 😊💜
Villain Dies is sung from the perspective of the villain. There are theories that this song is related to Soojin who was painted as a villain to the public. The rap can be seen as a reflection of how Soojin felt during the scandal. In a recent live performance at an awards show, a speaking intro was added which well, can be related to SJ as well. Either way, if you don't believe in that theory, then the song is just about the villain not understanding why the "heroine" is loved and she's hated. A villain is a hero in their own story.
Btw are you planning to watch Gidle guide ? If yes i would recommend to watch The rise of (G) I-DLE, for me its one of the best fan documentary videos ever( but its around 85 min long xd).
I will definitely watch it, but I've been told that there are a few music related spoilers so I want to get to know their discography a bit more before checking out the guide 💛🌼
I've been here through your journey so far and it's been a ride. Seeing you get emotional made me emotional haha. I can't wait to see what you have planned next.
what a reaction i just love how you express your thoughts and how vulnerable you were. Hope you ll check out some of their variety content to cheer you u and discover their amazing personalities / dynamic
Yes I definitely will! I want to check out some of their behind the scenes stuff und funny moments as well as a guide for sure! Thanks for commenting and have an amazing day 🌼💛
Hi! Absolutely love your reactions ❣️ And I recommend you to watch their stage for Queendom of "Put it Straight (Nightmare version)", Hann (alone in the winter)" it's from the trilogy of Hann (Alone) and Hwaa, "I'm the trend" and "Blow your mind" such fun songs, and honestly any mini album and song, they're all amazing. P.S: Sorry for my probably bad english 😅
Thank you for the recommendations and lovely comment! I definitely will check out their queendom stages! Have a wonderful day 💛🌼 PS. Your English is amazing don't downplay it!
Wow! Great reactions! Thanks. Most of what I've wanted to say, others have already commented. It is great to be a fan of I-DLE. Because we know what they are going through, and can not say openly on somethings, they express those and other things themselves through their self-produced music and songs. We in the fandom get to understand the songs and connect them with on another level. The payoff to being an I-DLE fan is enormous! All songs in this album have stages from their World Tour which you can watch from fancams. The Japan concerts had official live stream, recording which you can find on YT. For the Asia leg of the tour, they alternated between Polaroid and Escape as the final/encore song which was very emotional for them and Neverland. And finally just a suggestion - before listening / reacting to any new I-DLE song, please check out which of the members were involved in producing the music and writing the lyrics. It elevates the listening experience a little bit more, not sure how to explain, just makes it more personal. All the best!
Thank you for taking your time for this comment! I will take your recommendations to heart and incorporate them in future reactions, so thanks a lot! Have a wonderful day 💛🌼
This album was released after a long time after one of their beloved members (soojin) left the group after being falsely accused so this album is like their feelings at that time.
One way to listen to this album is reverse order from Liar to Tomboy Suddenly it turns into a story of a broken-hearted woman finding and loving herself Their album after ‘I Love’ can also be heard in reverse order
Scape is the song from this album that I heard less. It's not that I don't like the song (I love it), but I always cried listen to it. So I always pass.
Escape is written and composed by Minnie for Soojin to comfort her through hardships any other reason said by anyone here is wrong and not true Neverland
FYI Jaeguchi has always most views because they make quick and dirty translation fast after song release. That way they are the only lyrics video around at first and get a lot of views. Unfortunately speed is an enemy of quality so the translation is usually very bad. Oftentimes the highlighted vocalist tend to also be wrong. In other words, unless you cannot find another lyrics video, stay away from Jaeguchi.
Please react to Monsta X Beautiful Liar MV on Jan 9th. Their new album called “REASON” and “Beautiful Liar” MV will be released at 6PM KST/4AM EST, so please react to them next.🙏🏾🙏🏾 Monsta X are a 6 (originally 7) member hiphop based Kpop group that consists of 4 singers and 2 rappers They are currently promoting as 5 as the leader, Shownu, is actively fulfilling his enlistment duty. Monsta X delve into different music genres, styles and languages but have their own unique sound/stamp on their discography. Monbebes (fandom name pronounced as “Mon-behbeh”) would really love it if you would react to their music. And don’t hesitate to ask any questions 😊
Hey :] thanks for your recommendation! I already am a monbebe since late 2021 so don't you worry! They will be covered on this channel! I haven't heard everything by them yet either so there will be some throwbacks as well! 🌼💛

Yeah and thats why the song is short cause i think Soojin should have a verse there but well she left so they didnt add it in.
"Villain dies" is fun. Seems like a take on a classic hero/villain battling for the love of the heroine love but from the villains perspective, plus a fourth wall break with the villain talking about the author who is writing the story.

You're the first I see crying on this album aside from me, it strikes somewhat (not heavy crying just tearing up). Thanks for reacting to this album.😊
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💛

Fun fact, Minnie begins every first verse on this album!
WOOOOAHHH I didn’t even catch that my mind is blown
I would recommend i Burn album which is a masterpiece and i love which is their recent album.

thank you for letting me know! and thank you for your kind words :].
Thx for your sincere reaction, far from usually "fun" overreacts we often see on other channels.
I really like "Never stop me" with it's punk-lite aesthetic. Sounds great and shows that idle can pull off whatever genre they want.
I can never really listen to Polaroid and Escape much. I tear up every time because, aside from the fans and the remaining members, it feels like they were written with Soojin in mind as well. Which is probably true knowing I-DLE.
They really placed the songs perfectly because after making you cry, they'll make you wanna twerk with My Bag😭
😭😭
After seeing you tearing with Escape i can't say less than: welcome... Welcome to Neverland.😊❤️ Our girls come back from a really dark place with this gift for us, for everyone, to help us to heal. They're gonna be there for you always you need them. 😊💜

Finally a reactor that focused on the meaning of the song instead of other things . I’m gonna subscribe to u 🫶🏼

Remember me when your famous ? Beautiful reaction from a beautiful person to the most beautiful group ever some would say this was beautiful haha
Hahaha 🌼💛
I recommend you to watch Villain Dies lives from the world tour. The choreography is AMAZING!!!
I've been here through your journey so far and it's been a ride. Seeing you get emotional made me emotional haha. I can't wait to see what you have planned next.
oh you're so sweet thank you for telling me and sticking around! I hope you have a wonderful day :]
Great reaction 👍 waiting for I Love album and Melon Music Awards reaction 🔥
what a reaction i just love how you express your thoughts and how vulnerable you were. Hope you ll check out some of their variety content to cheer you u and discover their amazing personalities / dynamic

Can't help but notice how deep Escape has pierced through you. I hope you're okay 🙂
Thanks for being so kind :] Sometimes i am a bit too much in my thoughts but I am fine and I hope you are too 💛🌼
()i-dle are one of the very few groups that seem to be unable to write a bad song. I do think all their b-sides are worth listening to
If you ever check out I Love, the listening order is from 6 to 1. That is from Dark to Nxde. It tells an entire story in that direction.
Such a good album.
It was funny that you thought "is it already over?" and the very next line is "already, already, already over" 😀
So no and yes.
My fave B-Side from the album was "Escape", though recent live performances of "Villain Dies" have made me respect that one more, of late.
You're such an interesting reactor. As an IDLE fan, I appreciate your fresh perspective. Please continue doing videos your way. 💓
thank you for your kind words :]. I definitely will, thank you for giving my video a chance. Have a lovely day
thank you....i felt the same way.
I always get emotional when listening to Escape and I cried with you 😭❤

❤️
you should definitely react their "I Burn" album
Scape is the song from this album that I heard less. It's not that I don't like the song (I love it), but I always cried listen to it. So I always pass.
MAMA and MMA performances of "Villain dies" are not the full song... more like clips that are inserted into the overall performance.
Gidle🔥🔥🔥
Escape is written and composed by Minnie for Soojin to comfort her through hardships any other reason said by anyone here is wrong and not true Neverland
Soyeon just straight roasting her ex bf in liars😂😂
I love it!🤭😂
hey you should watch villain dies performance
please react to GIDLE again. I really enjoy your reaction
