Which animals are now extinct because of humans? In todays educational video, we'll take a look at which animals have gone extinct due to human beings!
Humans are the most intelligent species on Earth, even if sometimes we don't behave that way. Yet all of our perceived shortcomings are in fact evolutionary success stories. Our greed ensures that we survive at all costs- in the wild it's far better to overindulge today when food is available then try to ration or be altruistic and risk famine or disaster tomorrow. Our complete disregard for the environment is likewise the pinnacle of natural evolution- despite what your hippy best friend may tell you, there is no balance in nature. Balance is achieved only through death- a species will overpopulate and overconsume until resource scarcity forces it 'into balance' by starving most members to death. While we may be nature's greatest success story, we have exacted a terrible price on other animals that share the world with us. Not really. Modern Humans understand the world around them far more than primitive people due to things like this and plagues. In the past, people rationalized that there were plenty of Animals out there and that a few that were dead wouldn't hurt anything.
Then they were over hunted and existed no more. With relief aides and hunting regulations with Park Rangers enforcing them, many animals have been saved from extinction. But please be generic with the "HumANZ BAAADddd" wordplay.

@jonny s What they stated isn't even racist at all, it's a fact and it's happening, the "extinction" of the white people, I don't really know in what the point is in supporting mass migration.. You'd have to be mentally ill or just try to fit into society if you support that.
constant migration or mass migration causes for traditions to disappear, and I as a german can say that because we literally have no traditions here anymore, muslim holidays or something related to that are more adressed than christian holidays here in the media, only a few german states have kept their traditions like bavaria did.

Sylviornis - A large, flightless Galliform that lived on the island of New Caledonia. It would've resembled a large Chicken, and went extinct around 1500 BCE, most likely due to overhunting by humans.
Talpanas - an incredibly strange, but also underrated extinct animal. It lived on the island of Kauai, and was a flightless, blind duck with a strange beak. It's unknown when it went extinct, but the fossils are dated at 4050 BCE.

Used to like this channel when it first started, the videos were actually engaging and didn’t feel like they were unfinished. Most of the new videos feel like they’re being pushed out one after another with no quality control on their information nor topic. Kinda sad.
Unfound Yeah, in this video alone they made about 20 important errors. Their explanation about nature being unbalanced, because it balances itself, is almost mind boggling. These guys need to get their shit together. I'm in medicine and pharmacology, not zoology/paleontology, so if I am catching all these errors, I imagine there are tons I'm missing.

I was expecting them too, but they're on nearly all videos about animal about human related extinctions. The dodo and passenger pigeon are pretty much the poster children for those animals. I was glad that for once there were more interesting animals on this list. Some of them I've never even heard of before.
Black rhino hasn’t completely gone
Another one (or duo perhaps) is the New Zealand Moa, which were giant land birds like the elephant bird, except the biggest species were taller (up to 3.6m), although less massive. And their primary predator, Haast's Eagle, which was a giant eagle that preyed on them! Apparently about 40% larger than the largest eagle species still alive today.
Same moas and Haast’s eagles are some of my favorite animals ever
I love the subtle “species will continue to consume until they starve to death.” A very likely scenario seeing as our overpopulation is basically on life support through factory farming. Not even close to possible to naturally sustain 7 billion large mammals naturally. No other large mammals come close to those numbers.
