Both Beyonce & Kelly have been working together professionally as singers since they were 8 so they've earned their way to make what they do seem effortless, plus they're naturally intuitive to each other's performance styles. As an adult, Michelle had to come into that dynamic and fit with it and most of the time she does, but sometimes you can see she second guesses herself. Also yeah the sound did her dirty on her mic, her voice is higher so they should have adjusted for that). And if you think Kelly looks good here, you should really react to her in the video for "Commander", she looks & sounds incredible.

So you should watch the performance in increments. She based her performance as a homecoming. Homecomings are big for HBCUs ( historically black colleges and universities). So she actually recruited HBCU students to be a part of her performance (dancers, musicians, and everything). She also brought some other geusts to perform with her (I would tell you but I don't want to spoil the whole thing. It was so iconic, they called her performance Beychella. Just something I thought you would find interesting.
If you think that 13 minutes was something you've gotta watch her Coachella performance.. That was wayyyyyy longer and she killed it the whole time.. She's AMAZING
