at 10:29 the goalkeeper kinda just ‘reacted’ based on instinct and i do the same at times whilst in goal, do you have any advice on that or was that the best thing to do? possibly setting for a shot etc.
Pro GK Academy the drills seem like fun and those keepers were making some quality saves. 👌. One more question, do you think indoor soccer, the ones with the small goals, is helpful for outdoor keeping as well
I have a question, apologies as it's an older video, but what is the purpose of the coach using the opposite word for the action they expect the keeper to take? What does this teach the GK? I've seen in other videos where you say Left but you want the GK to react Right, and it's similar here with the names, when you shout Omar you don't expect him to come to you, etc.
No worries! And everyone uses these cognitive exercises for different reasons but, for me, I try to force patience / assessment prior to any movement / action. Some gks are stuck in one gear which is go-go-go - so, to teach patience and a more calculated approach, I wanted to force them to process information before making a decision. I don’t do this all the time but it is fun to layer into sessions when you want to build some patience! Hope that answers your question 🙏
@@progkacademy This is a great answer, thank you so much. Clears it up nicely and very happy to see you're still active. Hope you are able to get some videos shot soon and that you and yours are all staying safe.
Armando has an odd technique whether it’s collapse diving, his knee looks awkward, and in his set position the position of his hands just looks extremely off while he’s doing the handling drills. 1 on 1s as well it often looks awkward as he falls on his knees often and it just looks very slow and inconvenient. I have no room to offend or attack Armando because he obviously is a pro gk, to me it just seems his only problem is technique and if he fixes it I think he can progress much more and make it further in the pros. No harm intended just meant to be constructive criticism😁👍 #gkunion

What’s Jakes’s gloves trademark, Omar?
What song at start
How important are the body activation drills
Johnny Hernandez imo they’re very important. Especially if you’re trying to activate specific parts of the body for the focus of the day
Pro GK Academy ahh okay. Thanks for the reply
@@johnnyhernandez8048 Of course. What'd you think of the session?

That white base layer was a rookie error

It's good to have a cameramen but don't move too much it's kinda annoying
Yaa, it was his first time.
Live and learn. He’ll keep it more steady the next time around 🙏
Appreciate the feedback
@@progkacademy 👍👍
camerman ffs, just leave camera on stand, had to stop watching after 5min of video
Adi R6S his first time. It’ll be better next time ✊
Liked the drills but not the camera work.
