  • In this episode we continue to reveal hidden surprises. We take a look at the engine cover, how to reinforce the rear suspension, cleaning adhesive off the floor beams and walls, and remove the drivers console to increase efficiency. Come join Sylvie and Yvan as they transform this 1995 MCI 102DL3 into their third tiny home on wheels.

The two water taps on those pipes are the taps for the heating system. When they are closed, the driver gets very cold in winter. But check the pipes before opening as the passenger heating system has probably been cut off. The lines must be welded closed (in the bay where the oases heater was located). The taps are there for maintenance purposes.

Replacing the window covers on my MC9. Owner originally used heavy gauge sheet metal. What gauge should I use? Steel or aluminum? What sealant along with rivets.

We used 16G aluminum, we attached using rivets, and panel adhesive.

Yvan- I've got a '99 Van Hool T2145 with a track system for seating. Have you dealt with removing these? Can the rolling tracks be taken out and the tracks left in place? Do you know if the tracks are welded or affixed some other way? I have pictures if it would help.

In ours the tracks were solidly welded in place , we left them there and built up the sub floor to their level

Looks great guys! I guess you found out how thin the metal was on each side of the airbag supports! Can’t wait to see your new box!

We own a 1979 MC 9, a" Custom Coach of Columbus OH" conversion. Your videos are very informative, especially the one which included the info about Caylor Supply, we've owned our MCI eight years now and never heard of Caylor. We live in Las Cruces NM.

@6:00 Those are terrible looking welds. No way I'd trust that to hold several thousand pounds of dynamic force as the axle reacts to bumps in the road.

Agreed, apparently they held up, but we made them better.
