- Many people seem to believe Marineford wb is still the strongest pirate alive, and that he is stronger than kaido. I dont agree with this take, and with this video I will prove kaido can run the marineford guantlet without any real issues. Kaidos showing of power in wano was for more impressive simply for the fact that he was testing his opponents and tanking attacks whitebeard would not be able to brush off. So please watch this video and see if it changes your mind!
Basically kaido>>marineford wb, because 99% of the stuff wb deals with is literal childs play and fans just like to wank it because they love wb💀
Edit: 8:38 This is an incomplete list of attacks that hit kaido and it doesnt even take into account gear 5.
We also now know kizaru himself had to speed up to outpace g4 snakeman, WB was getting embarrassed by kizaru during marineford.
Kaido would blitz wb even in his dragon form and thats not a debate, as he did the same thing to snakeman luffy using FS.
And to add more wank, wb was scared to go to kaidos territory to fight. Kaido came to marineford with a single commander to kill WB.
Wb fans saying kaido fears wb literally makes no sense😭😭
We must also remember that WB was suppressing his power like 75% of marinford in order not to damage his allies. I still think Kaido is stronger but we I think WB wouldn't have been damaged so much if he went full power from the start

Luffy never punched through Kaido. He turned Kaido's face to rubber and it stretched along with Luffy's punch.

Morj makes a great point that people typically downplay Kaido and Big Mom because most of their onscreen feats are against each other and Supernovas. They don’t really interact with anyone at Marineford, so people don’t make that connection because Marineford is where the fan base established what we viewed as the top of the verse.

I find it pretty confusing how power scaling and bounties work in one piece. We see boa hancock with a bounty of 1.6 billion before she was a warlord. But also an increase of billions with Crocoboy. It's crazy to think how within a few years some characters can grow so much. While others powers seem to stop and stay the same, allowing other characters to catch up to them.
Bounties and (1on1) strength is not necessarily linked
Influence, Fleet, Strength, Connections all of these play into bounty. Not sure why it's so "unbelievable" that someone gains over a Billion after 1) being a founding member of the cross guild
2) being probably one of the smartest people in the verse in terms of social engineering and psychology almost taking over a country more or less by himself.
3) having been a warlord (having his bounty frozen) for most certainly a few years at least

Though I think using Oden clashing with WB as a downplay to WB is disingenuous. WB didn’t put any ACOC on it. He wasn’t actually trying against Oden. Primebeard was on Roger’s level and when Oden first saw Roger he got sent FLYING.
this is exactly my point, wb used his df and oden matched. Meaning odens feat is better than akainus because they did the same thing but oden fought a primebeard and that was before his voyage too so while he might not be equal to wb he pulled off better feats than akainu

One thing is taht Big mom and Kaido both use advanced Conqueuers coating on their body to prevent damage or enhance their durability. Obviously base vs base whitebaerd isn't as durable as Kaido or Big mom.
BUT Kaido, with the fruit, and his conquerors coating OUTDOES even Whitebeard in durability even if whitebeard was able to use Conqueruers coating to enhace his durability, which was stated multiple times that he couldn't use Haki pretty much at all, or at least the advanced forms and conqueuers during the war. He only had the basic versions of haki available and weaker than his normal haki output at that.
The Marineford war, Whitebeard was nearly haki less, severly sick and dying, and needed to hold back, while only having his devil fruit avaialble to use, and if he used it to full potential would;'ve killed everyone JUST with his devilfruit.
Kaido, even in base could destroy the entire lineup at marineford taking this into account, minus maybe garp and sengoku.

Base Kaido would not maybe lose to Garp & Sengoku, he would guarantee lose to them. Kaido would 100% need to use haki and hybrid to be able to fight those two.

i agree with many of your points and the overall assumption that Kaido is stronger than Marineford WB, however you must know how disingenuous it is to scale Oden as still losing to Kaido after his return from adventures. It is a significant plot point that Oden lost because of the exploitation of his son being held hostage. After so many details within their fight, it is not a stretch at all of me to say that if Oden and Kaido fought in a vacuum with their same abilities and powers just without such an interference, i would bet on Oden. During their fight, Oden traumatized kaido for the rest of his life with his ability, permanently scarred him, and had him backpedaling. Your point is not the whole truth

Thanks man! I don't know why pple keep saying WB was still the strongest Yonko but to me that was just a title at that point. He still just had the respect and the clout as the man equal to Roger. Hence why he stood in front of the Pirate King sit but didn't occupy it. So at some point he was definitely the strongest obviously before Kaido and Shanks hit their primes and his health began to deteriorate. To me at that point it was definitely Shanks or Kaido who was the strongest. Kaido has raw strength & insane durability but Shanks probably has better haki. And Kaido would have done much better at Marineford. With much less casualties, since his crew don't have to worry about him. A prime WB was definitely a bit above Kaido overall in my opinion but as time passed and Shanks and Kaido became Yonko, the power block must have definitely moved from WB being the single most powerful pirate to one of these two. I've thought about it too and in my opinion WB was the weakest of the 3 Yonko at Marineford. Big Mom might be a contender for weakest too tho but I believe Oda still hasn't allowed Big Mom go all out & has humiliated her too often allowing pple to underestimate her despite how powerful she actually is. Hope we find out how strong she truly is someday if that isn't was by now(i.e if she's still alive)

Luffy DID NOT punch a hole through Kaido's head. Take a good look at the panel again and not the color panels done by God knows who. The panel shows that Luffy's fist does not have any details on it, and that's not an error by Oda Luffy upon making contact with Kaido's face, turned it into rubber and stretched it backwards pushing it through Kaido's hair. It's even further reinforced by Kaido getting sent flying because of the built up kinetic energy from his face stretching that far away as the rest of his body snaps back towards his face. Luffy's punches do not do piercing damage just blunt force.

I definitely agree with the main idea, Marineford WB is overrated, but I will say abt the best endurance feat it has to be akainu 10 day fight. If you add up all of wano Kaido fought for around 4 days and they aren’t all on his level only big mom and Luffy. Big mom didn’t leave a scar on Kaido when she definitely could (coating sword user) So he fought the weakest Yonko and both were not going all out. Then he fought Luffy who only became on his level with gear 5 which was at the tail end of the fight. So unless you think Akainu and Aokiji were playing around for 9 days then that’s the better feat. You have to be a crazy Yonko wanker to say 3 days of suppressed big mom and how many ever minutes of gear 5 is more than 10 days of serious Aokiji

Narratively Luffy has to get stronger (beat Bb) to be ‘pirate king lvl’ which is Roger lvl and WB is stronger than Roger. So his Haki is stronger and his weapon is stronger and his df is stronger. Kaido gets durability. WB endurance and stamina is unknown. If Zoro on 1hp is scarring Kaido then what u think a coating quake full power attack from WB the strongest man is gonna do. If he had awakening and needed gear 5 Luffy + Zoro hypothetically the monster samurai (above Oden) to put him down then yeah I’d be willing to have that debate but that’s clearly not the case. I wish that happened tho 😂
akainus endurance feat is flawed tho because if were going off the number of days second place would be jinbei and ace for five days, wb, roger, kaido and big mom max has been three days

If king and Marco had a 10 day fight it would be less impressive, but more than if ace and Jinbe went 10 days. 3 days is definitely not the max that those guys could go and if your insinuating that the admirals are weaker cause they went 10 days that is the worst logic I’ve ever heard. They went 10 days cause it was an actual death match not a friendly clash. If Roger and WB fought to the death, I’m sure they could go 10 days. Sure it’s a stamina feat but that only comes into play if you’re evenly matched. Besides it’s been repeatedly stated that Zoans on average have the advantage when it comes to endurance & stamina.
Really this is more so a feat for the looser, indicating Alkoji was so close to Akainu that the fight lasted ten days.
Practically the fact that the fight took 10 days means zilch for an Akainu vs Kaido fight

Their fruits certainly will damage Kaido when they use real attacks. Also Kizaru most likely is the fastest in the verse, dont think he was that serious against Raighley. Kizaru or Aokiji joins Akainu and you solved the problem (Kaido). MF in reality was one sided if they went all in

@@D.Strawhat Man, they all chilled. You have Mihawk, Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji which all will give him a very very hard fight in a 1v1, not even talking about 2v1. And Garp and Sengoku definitely give him a hard fight (they are old). But Garp should be stronger than old WB and Senhoku as well. There are just too many Yonko Level characters there.

Mihawk probably stays out of it, but if he actually fights seriously then just him & an admiral or two could get the win.
Granted we haven’t seen the admirals go all out but I’m unconvinced that Kizaru & Akainu can even hurt Kaido. Alkoji has that Pokémon type advantage low key though.

You are misrepresenting the facts of the manga. To take into account Shirohige's real power, his wounds would have to be removed, Oda developed the war so that Shirohige, even being old and sick, would not use all his power.
Oda made Squard stab Shirohige, because that way he speeded up the effects of the disease, and that way Akainu could seriously hurt him, weakening Shirohige even more, that is, without Squard, what happens with Akainu would not happen at that moment. Same with everything that follows.
You are also wrong about Akainu's Magma, if we assume that Zoro gave Kaido an insignificant and small scar, obviously Akainu with his magma would do much more. Add that even when Shirohige was dying he almost defeated Akainu because he could have finished him.
Also you mistakenly assume that all the king's haki is the same, even an old Shirohige is going to have an armor hakk, I'm talking about armor haki superior to Zoro's king's haki and even Yamato's. Shirohige could still hurt Kaido.
In addition, the Kaido that faces Oda does not differ much in power from the current Kaido, so that Kaido would also defeat Akainu.
In my opinion, Shirohige still had the power to defeat Kaido, because you have to assume that even a sick Shirohige but without the injuries is much more powerful and stronger than all the supernovas combined.

What happened with Squard was an isolated event, of course Shirohige shouldn't have allowed it, but in part it was due to Shirohige's age, illness and trust in Squard, against an enemy in front is not the same.
Those counterattacks are not avoided by Law, Kid, Zoro and Killer, and eventually neither is Luffy. As I told you, if he incapacitate Akainu, with that same attack he can kill or defeat any of the other five if he hits it fully.
Now if you are going to pretend that the Supernovas would do the same to Akainu as if they were very close to that level, turn off and let's go, because it would be absurd to believe something like that. The current Admirals might not be as strong as Kaido, but Akainu is closer o equal to Yonkou level like Big mom, and I even bet that Akainu could defeat Big mom by watching the fight against Kid and Law.

I agree with you fully. The only thing I’d disagree with was when you said Kaido has higher damage output. WB’s quake is way too deadly to be tanked head on by anyone. It’s sending violent shockwaves through a person’s body completely destroying them. Kaido has high tier ap, but as long as WB has the quake I’m giving it to him.
The only attacks in Wano I think could combat the quake are flame dragon, Bajrang Gun, and Shock/Puncture Wille (as shown in the Law v BB fight)

People really did say Aokiji could just freeze Kaido. If Doflamingo and Old Garp had no problem escaping, Kaido won't either.
And honestly, Old Whitebeard does get a LITTLE downplayed. A lot of his terrible presentation can be blamed almost solely on him being wounded by Squard and neglecting his medication. At no point did Akainu pressure him in their initial skirmish. Whitebeard simply collapsed because his heart was failing.

Akainu could definitely damage him, he’s been stated to have the highest offensive power among devil fruits and Kaido’s been damaged by devil fruit users. The scale of marineford is bigger than Wano, we just werent shown haki and most of the characters didnt fight with all they got.
Whitebeard alone has feats that surpass Kaido or Big Mom.
Mihawk, all the admirals and also probably Sengoku and Garp can fight with Kaido very well, even if some of them would lose.

Im just stating what I think about Kaido stomping everyone wich is a very common idea.
Yes the fears are not that good cause theres not a single conclusive fight in marineford.
But still Whitebeard has some desteuctive feats that Kaido and Big Mom had with mire serious attacks. Casual attacks feom the gura gura had a bigger scale than anything in onigashima like the sea tilting, and also the casual destruction of the two ice waves that were comparable to the size of the onigashima skull.
Its not like Whitebeard was stronger than Kaido, but as he should, he had some things over him.

The gura gura was still Whitebeard's power, it was HIS so its part of his power you cant take it away like its not him.
And having haki doesnt mean you can negate all devil fruits, it doesnt work like that, even if you can block attacks, those that come with a quacke are gonna be way harder to block.
Kaido having haki doesnt take away Whitebeard's feats, wich are to this day a bigger scale than Kaido's.
And that doesnt mean Kaido was weaker than Whitebeard, it just means that he is inferior in a few aspects.
Wich is very fair, i dont see the reason why people wanna say Kaido is stronger in every little thing, when he is aparently not.
Also, having half his head gone and a hole in his chest and then tanking attacks from all Blackbeard pirates including Shiryu is something i do not see Kaido doing at all, cause it took less than taking half of his head to defeat him.
While Kaido has more durability, Whitebeard has more endurance, and very clearly to me

primebeard only has one fight and its with roger so thats a circular argument its hard to compare that.
Also i didnt take it away from wb, i just said people are disingenuous when they make arguments like that, yes he has destructive power but roger countered it with haki and even oden matched wb with ryou, and the anime shows oden losing but the manga doesnt do that.

I agree Kaido would do way better than WB. But would he win? I don't know about that Sengoku and Garp where not moving basically, with a healthy Kaido they could stall all the commanders and then it would be a 3v1 all admirals vs Kaido, and I don't think Kaido is winning that.
Everything else I sort of agree except speed we don't truly know if Kaido is faster than WB just off Kizaru vs Rayleigh I mean we don't know how fast Rayleigh is. I would say since I think old WB is somewhere in that realm of strength although lower, that the speed must be comparable and in favor of Kaido, but off of Rayleigh I wouldn't scale anything at all.

In marineford, the marines had insane power. They had two yonko crews essentially, that’s if the warlords actually helped. I agree that kaido prolly mid diffs mf wb, but even if you put kaido in that situation he would get destroyed. Mihawk+Akainu+ old garp vs kaido?! Then you have the other two admirals take care of the rest of kaidos crew in a second and help out against kaido?! Kaido would get clapped
I think you're underestimating Kaido crew, they're stronger than Whitebeards crew and WBs crew could keep these guys distracted at least for almost the entire arc. Also if we're putting scenario that means the same situations still happen: Luffy and the Strawhats are still trying to save Ace ,Rayleigh still helps Luffy, Most of the Warlords still betray the Marines,Garp still turns on Akainu for killing Ace and Shanks still eventually Shows up.

Kaido got captured by the navy in order to eat food he doesn't even see them as a threat I don't know what's wrong with people. I totally agree kaido would have performed so much better than wb. But the result would be the same. The firepower of the marines are just too much. 2 admirals are enough to put kaido down. There was still sengoku, garp, the shichibukai to take care of the rest.
