Great review. Two questions: - is it possible to charge your phone using a cable if your phone doesn't support wireless charging? - Does the clip need to be in the center of the phone or does the gimbal also work if you don't center it (because of the phone buttons)? Thanks!
I cant believe that you couldnt improvise in getting that case on the S20 FE, what didnt fit? I have the same camera and was thinking that this gimbal was for me until you mentioned that compatibility issue
Ha! Yeah... if I could have, I would have. Unfortunately, the phones are significantly different sizes... the case was just too small for my phone. The S20 FE is about 8mm taller and 5 or 6mm wider. If it had been the other way around, I might have been able to fill in the extra space with epoxy putty or silicone or something. Oh well.
As long as I orient the camera mount correctly, there's no problem with going wide with my phone, but it may depend on the positioning of your phone's camera
Without a phone to test it on I can't be sure, and it would depend on the case, but it seems like it will be tight but workable. The main thing is that it's about 3.5mm wider than my phone, and I think that the universal mount has at least 3-4mm of extra stretch.
Drats! I also have the Samsung S20 FE so that would be a killer for me as well. I have an old Osmo 3 and the S20 wont play nice with the DJI app any longer so its a not so smart gimble these days. But I do like the size and tracking and charging capabilities.
I'm pretty happy with this thing, so far. There is a lot to remember, if you want to get the full functionality out of it, but it will be pretty easy to do the things that I do most often.

For me the biggest flaw is that you have to hold the gimbal like a torch , always upright. The phone tends to tilt downward.
Hmm... that may be true. I think that all of the gimbals that I've seen are the same in that regard, though.

Are there any problem when you select the wide angle mode? for examle, can you see the hinge of the powervison s1?
