Alex Eames What clock speed was the B+ running during the comparison tests? Was it running at the original 700MHz, or overclocked to 1GHz (which most can run fine at)?
If one would stumple upon a homepage that requires Java or Flash.. can RPi2 handle it? My current Raspberry Pi is doing an awesome job, my tasks require very little cpu, voIP server (mumble) and tmux session always up with irc + rss feed.. i do not run a vnc session on my headless RPi.. but i want to run one, so that i can browse the web from where ever.. can it handle java & flash?
apparently it will if you do a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade but I haven't tried it myself and if you have an old distro you may be better off starting with a fresh image
What's the usual lifespan of a class 10 SDHC card running linux non-stop most people are getting? Anyone else experiencing early card burnout from too many read-writes?
What makes you think the nana has anything to do with it? This was planned way before the nana ever appeared. It takes a very long time to get new silicon made and tested, (the BCM2836 is a brand new chip).
"What makes you think the nana has anything to do with it?" Because they seem to be pushing features which that the "nana" already has (apart from windows 10, lol) , which would indicate to me that they have a market research team at raspi central. So... SATA ports: not worthy a shit IYO?
SATA woud have needed a different chip, increased the cost and added nothing to the educational goals of the RPF. This was in the works long before anyone knew about the nana. The nana is not a consideration here.
My dream of an ARM based daily driver has come true. Surely somebody here in Europe must recognise that there is a gap in the market for an ARM based PC with USB3 and SATA3 etc.? Why leave everything to the Yanks?
a fantastic use of those HDMIPis. What a Joy! Thanks for the comparison Alex!
thanks Mac. There should bass another video out later today.
I love how this video explains all the new things with the raspberry pi 2! I'm getting one myself!

Default overclocking on the B+ in those tests. I think that's none.
Very good comparison .

Can you run Counter Strike 1.6 on it?
It can play youtube videos?
yes. I just flashed the latest Raspbian onto it and watched today's video on it :)
good side by side. makes me feel okay that I still have my B+
I'm looking but I cant seem to find the sata port.....
What makes you think there's a SATA port?
Just seemed like a logical addition to make if they are trying to compete with Banana Pi specs

Congrats on your vid. So many of these vids are useless & show very little of the capabilities of the device.
