  • Today you join us out from Selsey, Targeting spring Tope.
A stunning day to be afloat at sea, nice relaxed fishing with good company, and a few tidy fish thrown in for good measure!
    Enjoy

Another great vid man. Ye should try the canoe mans loop knot on heavy line id trust it better than crimps. That was a cracking ray by the way 👏👏

Loving these adventures, looking to do the same here in Anglesey. Water is still cool here and mackerel aren’t showing in numbers yet.. when they do I’ll be out!
Cracking content pal, love the tackle clip mid way. Great idea for showing exactly what you use!

    Nice video matey enjoyed that!
You could try the way I grab the Tope at the side of the Kayak.
Behind the head seems like a easier way for me personally but once you’ve got it on your lap anything can happen lol
I find getting the lead off first helps a bit too… I have to use about 1lbs of lead where I’m fishing for them and I don’t fancy that cracking me in the forehead.
Gutted he bit you off too you could perhaps try the trace I make (just mono) and see how you get on.. iv never been bitten off with it as you double the line and make a biting trace.
Check out my latest Tope video which includes all of the above 👆
Tight lines for your next sesh out matey

Excellent vid Danny. For the live mack do you still use a lead as running ledger? And do you hook it at the nose or above the top fin?
