Glad your well Mr and back at the grindstone. Whilst youve been away I found a channel sargo75 which is worth watching. Its all in Italian but the visuals are good learning. Really good to see you back posting videos Paul. Sorry to hear about a rough couple of months, glad you're out fishing and doing well again. What baits were you using for the bream and having success with? I have plenty of squid in the freezer, was thinking of small strips on small hooks.
Hi fellow thanks for those kind words and yep a bit bumpy over last couple of months. Andy and I were using small long strips of squid and they were crashing into them but needed to be quick to grab rod. We also tried frozen lug and they took that as well. Good to hear from you, take care Paul 👍🐠🐠🍺
Great to see you back mate, how has Andy got a BCF shirt on? My go pro is still sitting in the box since 2017. I was taught not to wrap a towel around a fish if you’re putting it back as removes protective slime. Good vid mate Ps haven’t caught anything on my last 8 trips
Hi Chris and thanks for the kind words really appreciated. Andy used to go to Australia every year for a month fishing with a friend of his out there who he grew up with as a kid. Then covid put paid to travelling out there. Am sure he will go again. Good advice on fish and towels although I do wet the towel but will take the advice as fish welfare paramount. Sorry to hear you have been fishless on the last few trips. Was going this weekend but beaches too hot and too crowded. Am definitely going next weekend as weather changing take care and good to hear from you 👍🐠🐠🍺
Yep no worries. I guessed about Andy’s shirt as I live in OZ these days.I also guessed you’d be on to the towel don’t know why I mentioned. I also enjoy, rightly or wrongly, that you share the trials and tribulations of life. I think we all connect with that which means something, at a guess. Hope mother in law is doing ok thought I’d ask? Keep fishing mate, I can experience catching vicariously as you improve and my skills seem to deteriorate. Tight lines
@@chrisuk1000 hi Chris envious of you over in OZ and weather here high thirties. Always wanted to fish your neck of the woods. 3 hook flapper with No.4 hooks cast about 30 yards out never fails down Selsey, Lifeboat way or just north of the car park are the best spots for the Bream

Hi Mike thanks for taking the time to watch and sub. Was fishing today at Shoreham left home at 5.00am. Got there an hour later and perfect conditions. Then the May rot arrived and ruined the session so came home for beer. Not the greatest fishing at the moment but can only improve 🤞🤞🤞well done on the bream and yes we were on the right hand side of the lifeboat station. Bream are starting to appear but really get going once water warms up. Take care Paul 😃👍🐠🐠🐠🐠
East coast fishermen keith hi deal didn't work out well 2 fish in 24 hrs unreal started on pier lost tackle through snags not a good start moved to beach in evening big tide 6 .2 metersbut had a full moon lurking above us and no fish had all the bait in the world but no fish never in my life has this happened before lucky nipper was there and caught a eel and a surprise bass . Anyone got any advice on what went wrong???
Deal pier is very snaggy and sorry to hear only two fish. The last 5 sessions prior to the latest video no fish and fished different tides fresh bait etc. have fished for many years and been to many fishy looking venues telling myself definitely going to catch and then get nothing. I went to Chesil for a day and night session and nothing other than a pout whiting. Travelled to Devon for a week and fished three days nothing. It is a story that many anglers have been part o. Do not beat yourself up it’s fishing and can be ruddy frustrating but equally as rewarding on others. Feel for you and we’ll done to the nipper 👍👍👍🐠🐠
East coast fishermen hows things gowing gowing to deal Thursday low tide of the pier and then night tide of the beach and thend home friday morning havant fished for some time what with all off my problems but I am back at it will let you now how it goes. Keith
Hi Keith all good now after the lumps and bumps of life and was aiming to get out again this weekend but probably going to be too hot so maybe following weekend. Good luck at Deal and be great to hear how you get on and big time glad you are back out there take care Paul 🐠🐠👍
It's something which has always baffled me, that you can fish with someone fishing over the same area, using identical rigs and baits, and yet one angler nearly always catches more than the other. Fish apparently like female human pheromones, I guess I'm not so in touch with my feminine side as I think I am. It is as Rod Hutchinson would have said, you can get everything right in the right place at the right time, the rest is a large spoonful of luck. I'm pretty certain Paul, if I fished with you, it would be me that blanked, or caught less. That's fishing, and it's a bastard at times 🙂
Hi and thanks for the words of support and does make me feel better that it’s not only me getting beaten by another angler on the beach. There is sense in the female pheromone theory as some of the biggest salmon caught have been by ladies. I have fished with Andy for many years both, freshwater and sea and generally always beats me. My excuse is I do not practice as much as him as he is always fishing every weekend Saturday and Sunday rain or shine and all year. His dad was the same and always beat me when fly fishing. That aside it’s always great the be out in nature having a crack at catching and sharing good company with a beer on way home.to dissect the day. I have beaten him a couple of times but rare to do so. It is generous of you to say that if against me would probably blank but think we would be well matched. Am not out this weekend as work etc.got in way but am out next weekend to no doubt be beaten again 😂 take care cheers Paul 👍👍🍺🍺🐠

Great to see you back mate, how has Andy got a BCF shirt on? My go pro is still sitting in the box since 2017. I was taught not to wrap a towel around a fish if you’re putting it back as removes protective slime. Good vid mate
Ps haven’t caught anything on my last 8 trips
Mother in law no better and challenging my wife daily but it is our lot to deal with and I have always found with life better to swim with the current rather than resisting and I get that she has dementia and cannot help it. She is fortunate indeed that she is not in an old peoples home 😂take care down under 👍👍👍
3 hook flapper with No.4 hooks cast about 30 yards out never fails down Selsey, Lifeboat way or just north of the car park are the best spots for the Bream
Andrew much appreciated and thanks for that, will put that advice to good use. I think I was casting too far out. I will have a crack closer in and see if I can beat Andy 👍🐠🐠🎣
Thanks for the reply I think it time to hit walton on naze no the water inside out lower tides but over time I have had big fish of piar and beach nights are better so that will be a plan
I wish you luck sounds a good plan and nights will certainly improve your chances let me know how you get on 👍
