Krystle is so beautiful here. Blake was very insecure after Alexis. He was pretty hard on Krystle here but I'm sure he loved her deeply and she him as well. Thank goodness they were able to work out their problems because they needed each other desperately. 💕💕
The writing in the first season was the best. It seems once Alexis was brought into the fold the melodramatic factor writing wise was cranked up to eleven...
Completely agree with you - Season 1 is a master class in ensemble writing. I can only fault Season 1 for one thing (the follow up to Blake raping Krystle i.e. how she easily forgave him plus Blake's lines when he tried to justify his actions to Krystal). Other than that, Season 1 of Dynasty (with a special nod to the Pilot) is a beautifully woven masterpiece that holds up so well today - its themes of class tension and resentment, US capitalism/ imperialism/ corruption and good old family feuding are timeless. I've started watching Season 2 and only 6 episodes in; I feel such a sense of disappointment. The macabre grit of Season 1 is gone - tossed out for over the top, crass soapier than soap writing and direction. Even the brighter colour palette of the sets and lighting just jars with the authenticity established by Season 1. Season 1 of Dynasty..... what could have been.... :(
@@AverageJane222 I totally agree with your valuation. After watching Season1 I felt lost getting into Season 2. Suddenly, there was Alexis here and there and everywhere. It was like it turned into the nasty and rude Alexis show. Her constant crap was tiresome and revolting which ended up being a constant feature of the entire series. And her only beef was that Blake kicked her out after being caught being unfaithful which ended being many, many times. So she came on in Season 2 and lied in Court about Blake's behavior right off the bat and her 'Poor me syndrome' continued on and on. It was even continued in the Reunion Wrap-up made a couple of years afterward the series was cancelled.
@@marilyncripps4891 I totally agree with you here. I was so tired of Alexis in a short hurry. She was the complete opposite of Krystle. Alexis spent all 8 seasons trying to get even with Blake and break up his marriage with Krystle.
I would have divorced him a long time ago!! Krystle was patient.... First Blake, then Fallon and so Alexis..... What a life to marry herself into. Blake treated her like am employer he didn't like. Blake Carrington' 's game had to.be played by Blake Carrington'w rules.
Blake Carrington Was Mean In The First Two Seasons Of Dynasty Like Ben Cartwright Was In The First Two Seasons Of Bonanza I'm Glad Both Men Had Became Decent In The Later Years Of Their Shows Blake Was Mean And Hateful To Krystle Steven .And Fallon Carrington Colby
Linda Evans was a seriously beautiful woman!
Que belleza Linda Evans...y John Forsythe también aunque aquí ella se robo el show se ve realmente bella❤
