So every outlet that has talked about this has been anti-LSu about it. "Why didn't he get more targets?" "why wouldn't you focus on him?". He dropped 4 passes. Dropped. 2 TDs. Thats not on coaches. Thats on you.

I talked to a few of the receivers and this is exactly right.

Agreed 100% he dropped 2 critical passes and really a marquee receiver makes that catch on the very first drive. He made himself look like a spoiled 10 year old. The same people hating on the coaching and immediate success (or lack thereof) of the team, are the same people that expected Kelly to come in and have to perform miracles like Jesus immediately. Low IQ fans, I tell ya. Took Saban 4 years to win at LSU and he went .500 his first year at Bama. Took Les Miles multiple years. Took Orgeron Multiple years (to win a championship). What I find funny is the impatience of these “fans” will turn into a short attention span when they celebrate winning a championship in a few years.
And in Nick Saban's first year at LSU, he lost to UAB. On Sunday LSU never quit, lost by one point, to an FSU team that's been rebuilding for three years. I don't get these fans who want immediate success, takes time. Always has.
Jayden Daniels is more Jordan Jefferson than Jamarcus Russell. Meaning he's an athlete playing QB and not a pocket passer. LaKesiha Boutte has her eyes on the NFL and is frustrated because she won't put up Justin Jefferson or Ja'mar Chase numbers.

Daniels takes off running toooo much. Id be upset too if im running wide open and he taking off running. That can have a negative impact on your NFL draft since you wont have any good film as a wide receiver. Myles or Garret would be the better QB
That’s the problem with most “duel threat” QB’s, they’re glorified running backs with arm talent….if their first read is covered, they don’t know how to go through progressions, or learn to properly read defenses.
Keep them in the pocket and you win a lot more times than not.

I think Kelly knew his o-line was sucky and started Daniels cause he had to go with the QB with the fastest legs. Daniels will probably lead the team for rushing yards this year if this game is indicative of future games. Not sure what having an elite receiver corp does for you if you never throw to them cause you’re scrambling all the time though.

@@MyVisualRomance if you know you're online can't block then you should throw more short routes. Over 70% of the passes Joe borrow threw at LSU was quick passes under 10 yards. If you are getting rid of all that fast then your offensive line don't need to block

If he sits out and prepares for the draft, that is exactly what Jamarr Chase did and no one held it against him, which frankly surprised me. I thought Heisman Winner Devonta Smith was clearly the best WR in the 2020 draft. He and Jalen Waddle.

The only good thing about this game was that the tigers did show determination and will to win but they got no help coaching wise. No noticeable adjustments were made at halftime, and the players had to fight on their own. Kelly looked frustrated, confused and lost... just like he did at the post game press conference. I'm afraid the worst is yet to come.
I agree, but I think the problem is Scott Woodward, seems like his MO is the same every hire. Find a frustrated or disgruntled overrated name coach and then throw ridiculous buckets of money at them until they agree to come to LSU. Did we really need an AD who’s seemingly single talent is to throw more money of his school’s money around then the other guys? OK, if you were stealing Nick Saban back from Alabama then you have a case but Brian Kelly is no Nick Saban. In fact, there was a better, younger, coach who was dying to come to LSU but that wouldn’t have provided Woodward his splash hire, so we LSU fans should prepare to have our brains beat out by the guy we passed on. Billy Napier is going to win big in Gainesville, Kelly will be remembered as about on par with Curly Hallman.

@@jerrylanglois7892 first and foremost they went up tempo on offense 2) they started running short slants and short patterns and finding holes in the zone. 3) they kept the running backs in for pass protection instead of running routes in the flat.
Then they started moving the ball down the field 4) played more man up in the secondary which gave the line more time to get to the QB but they couldn't tackle him once they got to him.
Is that simple enough for you???? Is there anything else that you need explained??? Hit me up next week and I will explain that game to you and give you another breakdown since you seem to not know shit about football.

To he honest if a player wants to go to socal media to make a statement thats a significant sign of the culture and lockers. Some players are okay with having only 3 catches and a win as opposed to 100 yards catching and a lost. These kids aren't pros and should be more mindful of the opportunity that's granted playing big time CFB.

Kayshon's head was not in the game last night. Certainly not worthy of the #7. Dropped ball in the end zone in 1Q (admittedly that was a tough catch), not even looking when he's open in the endzone on a slant and a dime sails right past him in 2Q (easy TD), and then on a key drive in 4Q he's wide open and drops a first down pass that's right in the numbers. Then pouting on the sideline. He killed LSU last night.
