I like to think that the lyrics here mean the song is being sung not in the context of Lord X not being hostile, but essentially “shooting the shit” with BF. BF can’t DEFEAT X, but I think that he can never kill BF for good due to his Retry ability/insane plot armor, and instead of being angry, Lord X is just amused by that as it’s finally something different, even a little bit of a challenge. He’s begging him to stay because this is most interesting thing that’s happened in a LONG time in his world.
Also, holy shit, Cycles Honkish Mix finally has some competition, this is SO GOOD
just imagine if Evil BF was actually a huge collab where everyone does their rendition of Cycles
i really like this interpretation, content where bf's retry is canon to the story has always been so cool to me

This needs more replies IMO. I know people hate the ending of MMV2, but at least Horror Mario was unique in that he at least had some respect for BF and how good he is at rapping. Seeing Lord X actually appreciate the thrill of a challenge would be VERY interesting for his character.
Everytime someone says Boyfriend has "Retry ability" an angel loses its wings, like at least give Girlfriend the credit for bringing him back from the dead if you wanna add an Undertale-like in-universe dying and restarting meta-narrative headcanon into FNF. Like, Boyfriend is a regular ass human, his demon girlfriend is right there for those typa things, and she's already the explaination for the retries canonically anyway. 🥲

1. Im assuming this has something to do with Sturms latest announcement considering the similar theming and the "0707" code being the code to unlock Cycles in the original Vs. Sonic.exe.

And me, I do not want Sonic Legacy to just be Vs. Sonic.exe all over again. We've had enough reattempts at that mod as it is, and almost without exception, every character from Vs. Sonic.exe's roster has been used too many times to count. And that includes characters like Lord X and EXE, even with their creators being the heads of Sonic Legacy.
