Murdering a defeated opponent on the ground who is actively begging for his life just because you really wanna is, in fact, a not good thing and would, in fact, not help Megatron NOT be crazy. Optimus never says they'll let him go, or even live - Megatron never asks, cares, or listens.
facts, if he just took some time to collect himself then they could come up with a compromise but Megatron and his rage blinded him to the dark side and he most likely will never come back to the light or see things how Optimus sees them
Agreed, Orion wanted Sentinel to face the judgment of everyone he hurt, megatron as you said just cares about what effects him personally, and he wasn't the only victim of sentinel. He even turned out to be worse than him, after he more or less planned to kill anyone who wasn't actively supporting his temper tantrum.
true. even if he wasn't executed, leaving him crippled and cogless for the rest of his life would have been the poetic justice D16 should have been satisfied with, but Megatron's blind rage and hate would never accept that. Imagine a cogless, limping Sentinel forced to mine for the rest of his life despite energon freely flowing through the rivers. A fate much worse than death imo
43:14 this immediate shift from Sentinel getting his to Orion getting shot was such a similar reaction in the theater. The whole theater went silent for that scene. We knew that D would always become a Megatron, but to be able to create such a conflict despite knowing the outcome is the chefs kiss.
"If we kill him we're no better than him" is pretty overused sometimes, but it makes sense in this case because Orion literally saw his best friend becoming an evil dictator. So. Yea. Megatron DID become like Sentinel. Orion was just trying to prevent it, and sadly he failed.
Yep. Sentinel DEFINITELY deserved death, but Megatron shouldnt have been the one to do it. At this point he was after Sentinel out of pure bloodlust and for selfish motives, not because of what he did to everybody else
I love the detail at 48:47 where you can clearly see that Optimus deliberately changes the angle of his axe as soon as it has gone through Megatron's cannon, to make sure he doesn't his his head. It's such a tiny detail, but says so much about Optimus.
I think what Orion was trying to stop was D-16 going down a dark path even further. All the bots they killed previously was self defence, but what D was going to do to Sentinel was kill him in cold blood. In other words, murder. So he didn’t try to stop D because of that trope, he didn’t want his friend and brother to become a cold blooded killer. Especially when he use to be such a wholesome and loyal bot😢
Weren’t all the others just drones and no sparks? ( they are called death trackers in the movie and I noticed their voices are extremely robotic compared to others so my though is they are drones
This was also the first act of the new regime that would replace Sentinel’s government, and Orion didn’t want to start it off with an extrajudicial execution. I imagine that Orion had fully intended on having a fair trial to decide Sentinel’s fate, but D-16 let his hatred and anger blind him to the greater political ramifications of what would come *after* killing Sentinel. Optimus wanted long term justice that would lead to a free and fair society, Megatron wanted immediate punishment which would lead to a society dominated by force and “might-makes-right” ideology. This is what separates the Autobots from the Decepticons.
49:08 Wild detail that got confirmed by the director: you can see tear stains on Megatron's face that are almost identical to the energon blood marks that G1 Megatron had in the original movie. And they aren't there when he dropped Orion, so he probably cried as a response to killing and/or fighting his best friend. And his lip quivers a bit when he calls him Prime after the fight is over, making it look like he almost called him Pax but had to remind himself that his friend was gone.
42:33 It’s a movie trope but it’s not wrong. He literally becomes the next Sentinel right after killing him, there’s 0 denying that. He goes from being a slave to being a fascist dictator that treats his people like slaves in the name of alleged “freedom.”
@@erynnmurphy2996it’s from a key and peele episode where Key is a teachers sub and he does roll call and one of the students name is Aaron but he pronounced it A-A-ron
“No no no, pause!” Everyone is seriously missing the point. Everyone has been wrong. Orion knew that killing Sentinel would change D forever for the worse. He knew that there was no going back for him. He knew that he was mentally unstable and that that action alone would change him into something worse. He was horrified that by what he was changing into and didn’t want him to make that last tiny jump.
Yes it's also about facing justice, not sure if the auto other have a court of law or incarceration system like us , but he should face justice, not revenge. Even if the bots vote to execute him that would still be justice over what Megatron did
Optimus is very correct, if you kill someone out of hate, then you can never be something better, Cybertron needs peace, and peace can never begin with hate, as seen with D.
The symbolic dichotomy during the silent scene after D-16 drops Orion is heartbreaking. One of them is falling and the other is rising. Yet the one who is rising literally is the one who falls. And the one who is falling literally is the one to rise.
52:02... YES, we ABSOLUTELY need a sequel to this. More than one... Transformers ONE... the birth of Megatron and Optimus Prime Transformers RISE... the Autobots rebuild Cybertron and defend it from the Quintessons, while the Decepticons begin their plans for conquest Transformers FALL... with the repelling of the Quintessons, the Autobots are weakened and the Decepticons make their move. The start of all-out Cybertronian war Just a thought... 😁
So, apparently it only just hit the UK last week. Last I heard it was at a takeaway of 104 million on a 75 million dollar budget so it doesn't hit that "Double your budget" rule of profit. But rumor has it the cost was split between Paramount, Hasbro, and I forgot who else so assuming that accurate there's a chance it could be considered a success for a sequel if the costs were split.
I watched this reaction video four times now. I need to timestamp my favourite part so I can rewatch this the fifth time 43:12 The glee 43:15 The shock 43:28 The regret 43:40 The resignation 44:00 The fall I love that even as a long time fan of transformers, you KNOW theyre going to be the worst of enemies. But it still comes of as a surprise.
If “Babe” is my favorite Live-Action movie of all time. Then “Transformers ONE” is now my favorite animated movie of all time!! I have never instantly fall in love with a movie until now. Usually it takes a while for me to love and appreciate a movie, but this was different!! I have wanted a movie like this for a very long time!!!
This film is incredible. It's alright that the audience sympathizes with D 16. Once he becomes Megatron though there's no going back, he's the villain 100%. He's now going to become worse than Sentinel ever was, I'm ready. The Tyrant is here.
Yeah fs. He’s supposed to be the same as like Dooku- you’re supposed to sympathize w how they started as they had the right motives but understand that they went off the rails eventually
Even as D-16, once he learned the truth, he wasn’t seeking justice for his fellow Cybertronians. He was looking for vengeance because HE felt betrayed. Because HE was angry and felt wronged. And once he had that taste of power he went down the same path Sentinel did. Unlike Orion, he never looked at the bigger picture.
@StevenJG Yes, Megatron was always in it for himself. He even worshipped Megatronus Prime because he was told Megatronus was the STRONGEST, the BIGGEST, the BADDEST. No talk of his morals, his leadership skills. D and Megatron worshipped power above all else. While Optimus actually believes in his people. From the moment we see him, it's made clear. Orions' goal is to find the matrix to free the citizens of the system.
@@chozochiefxiii3298 Heck, the only way Orion was able to convince D to come was by saying he’d get recognition and glory if he found it for Sentinel. In the end, the king is dead, long live the king. And thank god Optimus stepped up when he did.
Fun fact the main theme is a mix of many classic TF soundtracks like the first Bay films arrival on earth and Primes main theme. They really should have held off on relaasing this to streaming for a while longer. It was just stating to pick up steam and we need it to make money to guarantee a sequel. They released it at a bad time against Wild Robot
Out of all the origin interpretations, I genuinely believe this one is the best. It feels so grounded, real, emotional, relatable, like I actually rooted for Megatron. And even though I knew in the end, they'd be enemies, I desperately wanted them to stay together. Their friendship was so good, I loved how much they supported each other and to see it wither away was legitimately heartbreaking.
Orion wasn’t saying we won’t kill him, but Sentinel right then was defeated and defenseless. A proper trial was required, plus Orion knew D was so full of anger he couldn’t see beyond revenge and was trying reel him in
You deserve more subs and credit brother. This is one of two reactions I’ve seen that are actually amazing. And the fact that you knew all 3 main decepticons of the high guard is just great. I look forward to your channel
nah i can't blame prime after what megatron did INSTANTLY after inserting the new cog into his chest, he literally went "ok i killed him and properly messed sentinel up, the prime i idolized is now been properly avenged, but i want more so i've gone from murdering sentinel, to just killing everyone related to him and or followed him, and destroying everything with his face on it." unfortunately, the entire city had lots of stuff, made in his theme and also with his face plastered all over the place, so yeah XD if megatron just stopped at killing sentinel and was like "yeah lets be better and rise up to be our own bot!" also as a side note, politics did play a major part in like why killing sentinel, imagine how future generations of bots would look back at megatron tearing em half, they would idolize his brutality, and it would inspire more people to be just as brutal, and influence em, to be just as brutal to your enemies.
You know this is going to be good when Drav pulls out the generation 1 toy backstory trauma Also I'm so happy you actually saw the original show! I watched it for the first time just this year, so it's SO awesome being able to experience this movie soon afterwards! This is the BEST Transformer's movie for sure
Your reaction to the fight scenes was so hype 😭 the combat in this is NO JOKE. That final fight with OP and megs had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. And the way you stood up for OP's speech 😂 a true fan!
This movie was done dirty, from the marketing to some early reviews, such as IGN's, giving the inpression that this movie was lesser than it actually was. This is hands down, bar none, the best Transformers film to come out since the 80's. I am so aggrevated that most people were turned off from seeing be ause of the trailers and poor marketing, because I was one of them. It took a nonspoiler review to get me to say "Okay, I guess I'll go see it," and damn it it was awesome. This movie deserves better than it's getting and if we don't get a sequel we riot.
Bro watching this was like watching it with a friend, your energy is so awesome and you can tell you are such a fan of this franchise! Great channel, got a new sub from me bro!
43:00 If only it was a mere trope mate. It really happens. In 2000 my country had a revolution against a vicious socialist regime, and after a 10 year long struggle those who toppled them said 'there will be no revenge, we're better than them'...and a mere decade later more or less all remnants of the regime regroup, rebrand and climb back on top, and we live in authoritarian cesspool once again. While the neighbouring Romania does the Megatron-style vengeful 'clean up' of their identical, vicious dictatorship, no mercy, and now flourishes...
Orion wasn't saying to let Sentinel live, and neither did Sentinel have any followers. They would have tried him in court and most likely executed him for his crimes and Iacon would have been against him.
It’s just sickening that the trailers pushed me away from wanting to watch this movie ever. Luckily the reviews after the movie released made me go to watch in theater and see if it really was the best transformers movie. Went 2 times to the theater with my younger sibling, bought the digital, and plan to buy the steelbook soon. 11/10 movie
@@centurynerdbr the movie had a serious tone that was never even hinted in the trailers. It really looked like a child friendly movie where i would watch and forget within the month which is the type of movie me and others usually pass on, but the fact that this movie had such a crazy build up and emotional moments proves that they could’ve done to better to further persuade the adult watchers to go and see an absolute unit of a movie. Trailers is what determines what kind of movie it will be and making it seem like your casual everyday kids movie was not the best choice to present it as.
@@centurynerdbr not really what i meant by that. More or less something to show that the movie is going somewhere and isn’t a one off origin story with outdated humor meant for kids. The majority of transformers fans have been fed more disappointing movies than good and it leads to us being less excited for whatever gets announced after. I know the trailer isn’t the only factor that played a role in the movie’s failure in the box office but first impressions is insanely important for any kind of audience.
@@centurynerdbr not even going to comment on the humor point. A serious tone could include the primes corpses or the state of cybertron not being too hot( neither are spoilers and it’s enough to show that it’s more than a go fun adventure). The TF fans was a mixed bag of good, bad, or mid. Personally it was funny and enjoyable but it was cut too short for the villains and the beasts themselves even though it’s called “rise of the beasts” it was by default an underwhelming movie but i don’t mind, just wished it had more.
@@centurynerdbr you haven’t really said anything else besides repeat yourself. There is absolutely no hate towards a go fun adventure movie, the biggest issue with it is that people will confidently pass on a movie because they believe they are not going to miss out on anything; The hate stems from the marketing misleading people from watching an awesome movie in the theater, case in point is this guy reacting feeling guilty for not watching it in theaters. So just keep this in your head, TF fans will always complain about something that’s just the fandom and the hate you see for the trailers was after people saw the movie and realized they were technically lied to as to what the movie was going to be, simple as that can be.
Yeah i agree w u on that trope. I think it would’ve been better if sentinel straight up surrendered to go to jail but megatron was like nah and tried to off him anyways. That would probably make optimus a bit more reasonable imo
I mean Optimus is also a history nerd, he knows full well off of his research that starting a new era off with a cold blooded execution or taking power into your own hands by becoming judge jury and executioner doesn't generally end well. Every other instance of them fighting or killing was in self defence. The guy is pretty reasonable for wanting his buddy to not become a cold-blooded murderer when sentinel could've faced justice through legal proceedings imo.
@@therealangelalexander1858 that’s 100% reasonable too, makes sense. Even with that, i think one or two additional lines on his perspective would’ve been good, but still as a whole i think optimus was more justified anyways
@hdudhehdhd2222 Maybe he could've said, "Don't let your rage blind you. It's not too late." Or something along those lines and it may have (well, probably not) eased his chances of getting D back.
It was really amazing to see in the theaters. In fact I saw it 5 times. I have NEVER gone to a movie that much. Everyone who did manage to know about it tried their damndest to promote and support it- I'm so glad it seems to be getting the second wind it deserves after the digital!
Alright and allow me to explain in the best of my ability why that "Don't kill him, we're better than this" trope is important. Lets explain it with Batman. Alright so Batman is a vigilante, stopping crime, punching bad guys and throwing them in jail right?. Now, imagine if instead he would stop pulling his punches and started to kill people left and right. Lets say he kills a criminal- a random thug robbing a bank. Sure, he stopped the crime and eliminated the problem permamently. However, it turns out that criminal was actually stealing money because he had mouths to feed and a family to support. A family that will deeply miss him and the child will grow to resent Batman, thus creating another criminal. Or as a result of that action, every citizen in Gotham will think that this is the proper way to exact justice, therefore people in Gotham will start killing each other whenever someone as much as mildly inconvinences, the killer being driven by strictly personal reasons rather than exacting justice. Now, if hypotheticaly Optimus joined in and killed Sentinel here, the people of Iacon would be terrified, afraid that history is repeating when the Primes were killed and Sentinel took over. Not to mention immidiately afterwards Megatron started blasting at the city. The reason this trope exists is because heroes are not about just punishing the bad guys but also saving people. And not just the good ones- EVERYONE . Because I think that everyone deserves a chance to be better and change. And if not, then at the very least punishment should be about rehabilitation- not straight up execution (or at least not in ALL cases). At that point Sentinel's lies had already seen the light of day. He was already exposed for the fraud he was. He lost all the power over Iacon and it's not like he could just go to the Quintessons for shelter and help- they would immidiately rip him to shreds so banishment- just like in Megatron's case would be more than a fitting punishment. Following the "kill all bad guys" logic, Optimus should have just killed Megatron there. Why didnt he do that then? Because he saw his friend still in there and hoped that one day, one faithfull day would come and he will be able to save his dear friend and redeem him. Killing isn't justice. I think people tend to forget that a lot.
I heard a theory that there are actually two chromia in the movie one cogless and the other that won the race. The chromia that won the race was theorized to be mirage because when the race started you could his name in first place on the board
This movie totally made me pissed my pants.......Literally....like....OMFG.!!!! This movie was the most awesome thing ive ever seen this year.....PERIOD.!!!!!
Transformers g1 re-aired back in 2005. I was around 6 or 7 at the time, and that was my introduction into the Transformers Universe. I am so happy that that was my introduction into the series, the movies, the games, all of it. Transformers has been a huge part of my childhood, and I love how I haven't grown tired of it sense then
Way to make me feel old... I was 25 in 2005! 😂 I haven't grown tired of it either - despite some of Michael Bay's best efforts! - sometimes a franchise grabs you and you stick with it.
sameee, i watched G1 around that time, and i was around that age too! im so glad i grew up with g1 then bayverse, and now this movie sure feels like a love letter to the fans, shame for the marketing team being shitty at their job tho
@serbukmomogi it would've made the scene where Orion get blasted by D-16 so much more emotional if they played the Optimus Prime death scene music from the g1 movie though!
42:00 And yet lo and behold, Optimus was right in the end. Sentinel should have been made to stand trial like a civilized society so that everyone could get justice. D16 had to make it all about him. That's the problem with killing: It NEVER stops at one.
*I was so on the fence about Chris Hemsworth playing Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, but he surprised the scrap outta me. Not only by masking his natural Australian accent, but by how well he conveyed Orion's/Optimus's emotions. That makes two legendary relics that he was worthy of in pop culture: Mjolnir (Marvel) and The Matrix Of Leadership (Transformers)*
42:33 “That” trope isn’t about being a better person, it’s about knowing yourself. Could you live with letting this person walk away, knowing every bad thing they did? You’re either Megatron or Optimus, but neither is greater than the other. Both viewpoints are valid to the individual.
I agree, hands down, this is the best Transformers movie. Period! Don't feel too bad about not seeing it in theaters homie, you got it on digital (I'm buying the physical 4k steelbook), this will contribute to it's sales. What is even more infuriating, is that it had such a long theater release window for international audiences after it released in North America. The Uk waited weeks, same with Japan, and France didn't get it until the same day as it went to digital release. Some regions complained about an awful dub, and the first trailer was terrible!! It made it seem like a kids cartoon full of non-stop jokes, which turned off a lot of people from seeing it. It's almost like Paramount wanted it to fail, wtf!
Its kind of amazing how so many people completely miss the whole point of Orion stopping D in that moment. Especially after what happens just after he kills Sentinel.
The way you rated the live-action movies is actually not a hot take at all, but a general consensus on them the fandom's come to over the years from what I know.
So I agree that the trope of "oh well if we execute the dictator how does that make us better than them?" is old and tired, but, I think here it was more of a "It won't stop at Sentinel, lest we go around and start executing everyone right now we need to take a moment to actually talk about this now that everyone knows the truth."
who ever did the advertising of this movie should be fired because they did not do this movie justice, I've been a tf fan since i could SIT, and will continue until i die, this is my life and this movie deserves justice because i rate it 1000000000000/10
Trust me the fandom that’s actually seen this movie loves it, I feel like most hate is coming from g1 fans that won’t give it a chance at all; reason I think that being comments like it didn’t do enough for the older fans, like what?!?! This was made for fans idk what they are talking about
From TF fans who've actually seen it I've seen nothing but love. I'm a G1 fan, started watching TF when it first aired (yes, I'm old lol), and I loved it! There was plenty of fan service in the movie... But then, I'm always open to new interpretations of things I'm a fan of, some others unfortunately not so much. Some "fans" seem to want everything to stay exactly as they have it in their head, and they tend to be the most vocal who ruin franchises for everyone else.
@@DiscoRaptor exactly! There’s jokes you’d only get if you know g1! I had a older gentlemen at my first showing that definitly grew up with g1 and he loved it too like you did. Hopefully more of the fandom comes around this was totally made with love
I admit that I was wrong. The trailer made this movie look way too kiddie fare and hearing that Chris Hemsworth is the new Optimus Prime broke me. I grew up with the legendary Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime and no one else can replace that. I have to admit that he did a marvelous job, once I could finally separate the Thor connection.
Orion wasn't exactly against killing Sentinel. He was thinking more in the long term about the ramifications of a public execution delivered to an already defeated and powerless enemy. He was trying to save D from himself here, not say that killing is wrong. I don't understand how so many people didn't realize that.
It’s a shame that those now discovering that this is a good movie didn’t trust those of us who saw it in theaters enough when we told them it was very good and to go support this movie at the box office.
Everyone who sees this, please go see the movie in theaters, if it doesnt make more in theaters they wont make a sequel and i need a sequel. How we let this peak bomb at the box office i dont know
I'm sorry but that rant about Orion trying to stop D-16 from killing Sentinel was an awful take. The fight was over, Sentinel was disabled and his regime exposed, there was literally nothing to be gained by killing him at that point outside D-16's petty selfish desire for revenge, Orion wanted Sentinel to stand trial and face consequences for his crimes not let D-16 kill him in cold blood and taint the legitimacy of their new government before it even started.
That trope is an awful take... "If we kill him were no better..." So many shows and movies use it, that's what I was getting at. Very cookie cutter for me personally.

42:33 It’s a movie trope but it’s not wrong. He literally becomes the next Sentinel right after killing him, there’s 0 denying that. He goes from being a slave to being a fascist dictator that treats his people like slaves in the name of alleged “freedom.”
Yes, and Orion's actions gave D 16 a choice to not do it.
I'm glad other people got the a-a-tron joke 😂
What's the joke?
@@erynnmurphy2996it’s from a key and peele episode where Key is a teachers sub and he does roll call and one of the students name is Aaron but he pronounced it A-A-ron

When normal people get angry, they pop a vein
When megatron getd angry he pops out a fucking fusion cannon
“No no no, pause!” Everyone is seriously missing the point. Everyone has been wrong. Orion knew that killing Sentinel would change D forever for the worse. He knew that there was no going back for him. He knew that he was mentally unstable and that that action alone would change him into something worse. He was horrified that by what he was changing into and didn’t want him to make that last tiny jump.
Watching most reactors really does worry me you know..
@@izzymania92 Yes definitely, makes you wonder what they would do in similar circumstances that give them power 😬😵💫
@Ivanreyrey10460only we few of us can be Optimus in a world full of Megatrons
@Ivanreyrey10460 fr...
Transformers ONE... the birth of Megatron and Optimus Prime
Transformers RISE... the Autobots rebuild Cybertron and defend it from the Quintessons, while the Decepticons begin their plans for conquest
Transformers FALL... with the repelling of the Quintessons, the Autobots are weakened and the Decepticons make their move. The start of all-out Cybertronian war
Just a thought... 😁
Transformers: Rise of DiscoRaptor
The movie titles sounds really good
I saw this in theaters twice. It was an amazing experience. And yes, whoever was in charge of marketing should not be employed there anymore
I need to timestamp my favourite part so I can rewatch this the fifth time

I love that even as a long time fan of transformers, you KNOW theyre going to be the worst of enemies. But it still comes of as a surprise.
Thanks for the love, I recently watched it again with some family.
Convincing people to buy the movie is now my job.
I THOUGHT YOU WERE CASEOH FOR A SECOND, HOMIE 💀💀💀 (but fr tho, TF One is a peak film and the film of the year!!)
48:00 Bro is actually dying bro 💀
The last 30 mins of the movie were rough 😅
@@StevenJG If Optimus didn't rise when he did, I'm sure Iacon would have turned into the site of a mass massacre.
Not only these. "The Fall" (The theme which plays when D-16 kills Sentinel) also has a part from Fall of Cybertron final duel.

I look forward to your channel
nah i can't blame prime after what megatron did INSTANTLY after inserting the new cog into his chest, he literally went "ok i killed him and properly messed sentinel up, the prime i idolized is now been properly avenged, but i want more so i've gone from murdering sentinel, to just killing everyone related to him and or followed him, and destroying everything with his face on it."
unfortunately, the entire city had lots of stuff, made in his theme and also with his face plastered all over the place, so yeah XD if megatron just stopped at killing sentinel and was like "yeah lets be better and rise up to be our own bot!" also as a side note, politics did play a major part in like why killing sentinel, imagine how future generations of bots would look back at megatron tearing em half, they would idolize his brutality, and it would inspire more people to be just as brutal, and influence em, to be just as brutal to your enemies.
You know this is going to be good when Drav pulls out the generation 1 toy backstory trauma
Also I'm so happy you actually saw the original show! I watched it for the first time just this year, so it's SO awesome being able to experience this movie soon afterwards! This is the BEST Transformer's movie for sure

That lore at the start is crazy lmao
Actually almost being killed by megatron 💀
This movie was done dirty, from the marketing to some early reviews, such as IGN's, giving the inpression that this movie was lesser than it actually was. This is hands down, bar none, the best Transformers film to come out since the 80's. I am so aggrevated that most people were turned off from seeing be ause of the trailers and poor marketing, because I was one of them. It took a nonspoiler review to get me to say "Okay, I guess I'll go see it," and damn it it was awesome. This movie deserves better than it's getting and if we don't get a sequel we riot.
If orion sided with d-16 he will not earn the matrix of leadership and becoming optimus prime.
Megatronus is the fallen incase you didn't know, but in this continuity he is a prime and didn't fall

@ 43:49 - "...I'm done saving you..." 😱😱😱
And you can see Megatron's hand still hanging there after he lets go of Orion, as if he's still processing what he did.

11/10 movie
Same exact story here brother 😂 12/10 movie and already got the steelbook pre ordered. My new favorite transformers movie for sure
My Fellow Autobots And Decepticons We Must Continue To Support This Movie Till The Day We See A Sequel No Matter The Cost.
Bro’s acting like it’s controversial to like DOTM. It’s literally the best Bayverse film lol. 2:35
Hahaha 😂 idk what the fandom agrees on but I think Michael Bay receives too much hate sometimes. Definitely has some stinkers but it’s not all bad.
Aaayyoooo you just showed me the A-A tron joke 😂😂😂 never noticed that
Yeah i agree w u on that trope.
I love how basically everything is a reference to other transformers media and Sentinel’s death was a reference to Jazz’s death in the Bayverse 2007.
Thee Laurence Fishburne saying "Protect the Matrix" gave me chills! 😤⚔🛡🌪
reaction aside, i think this was one of the greatest video intros i've seen in my life. "I ate Megatron" cannot be topped
I dont think it was just killing Sentinal, Megatron wanted to destroy the city and kill anybody in his way. That's not okay.
I heard a theory that there are actually two chromia in the movie one cogless and the other that won the race. The chromia that won the race was theorized to be mirage because when the race started you could his name in first place on the board

I haven't grown tired of it either - despite some of Michael Bay's best efforts!
UNREAL reaction bro you are awesome! This is a goated react to a goated movie. Pure peak.
I was always Team Optimus - To kill in combat or after a trial is justifiable - to kill a defeated person on their knees is murder ( in this context)
Bro that’s a hilarious origin story
1:00 W Lore
Yess I know I wasn’t the only one who felt like it watching my toys fight in my head as a kid
Its kind of amazing how so many people completely miss the whole point of Orion stopping D in that moment. Especially after what happens just after he kills Sentinel.
The way you rated the live-action movies is actually not a hot take at all, but a general consensus on them the fandom's come to over the years from what I know.
I'm with Orion...let Sentinal live. Death is too quick. He deserves to suffer.
So I agree that the trope of "oh well if we execute the dictator how does that make us better than them?" is old and tired, but, I think here it was more of a "It won't stop at Sentinel, lest we go around and start executing everyone right now we need to take a moment to actually talk about this now that everyone knows the truth."
Your reaction to Megatron dropping Orion was absolutely golden.

@@terogates1 "You don't have the touch or the power" genuinely made me LOL 😂
I admit that I was wrong. The trailer made this movie look way too kiddie fare and hearing that Chris Hemsworth is the new Optimus Prime broke me. I grew up with the legendary Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime and no one else can replace that. I have to admit that he did a marvelous job, once I could finally separate the Thor connection.
Absolute cinema of the year
There is a difference between killing in battle and executing a defenseless defeated enemy
42:38 As much as I disagree with Orion, he is right too! I mean Sentinel did KILLED Alpha in cold blood!
Orion wasn't exactly against killing Sentinel. He was thinking more in the long term about the ramifications of a public execution delivered to an already defeated and powerless enemy. He was trying to save D from himself here, not say that killing is wrong. I don't understand how so many people didn't realize that.
It seems like he was having much better time than sex (which I can relate).
Hey man, for those of us who don't about The Substitute Teacher... Thanks for connecting the dots, eh?... or should I say "eh, eh, Ron". 😁🇨🇦
"If we kill him were no better..."
So many shows and movies use it, that's what I was getting at. Very cookie cutter for me personally.
Plus Megatron was right. I DONT CARE about Sentinel dying, he deserved it. I liked what Optimus did after the fact when Megatron started attacking everyone. I'm just tired of all these Superman takes saying we don't need to kill... BORING
@@DravTheBroIt doesn't matter what you or D-16 thought Sentinel "deserved", his actions effected every living thing on Cybertron and he needed to be tried and judged by the people not by some psychopath vigilante with a vendetta, first thing Megatron tried to do once he took sentinel's "throne" was kill anyone he claimed was on sentinel's side a nebulous claim that apparently meant anyone who vaguely disagreed with Megatron's actions or wasn't actively shooting at everything.
Megatron wasn't the only person hurt by Sentinel it wasn't his place to pass judgment or take the reigns of leadership.
First time viewer here, I don't know why but the title made me howl
Megatron must have the right for revenge with that intense emotion and sentinel really do deserve that death and that's everyone will do. What Optimus did before dying was what everyone wouldn't do for the sake of good. That's why most people relates to villains than heroes.
epic reaction brother, its a top tier film
