I just returned from Lagos for the first time. And what I saw opened my eyes to the inaccuracies that are drummed in to us here in the States. Maybe white people like to make themselves feel better by showing the worst of another country. Lagos was a blast and I cannot wait to go back! It ain’t all roses’ but neither are many parts of the US!!!
In reply, my question is why on earth would any American/European want to come live here in Nigeria? People relocate for various reasons. All fingers ain't the same.
can't wait 2visit 9ja o.though had a bad experience abt a decade ago, many things ve changed now according 2sources Lagos esp with d help of reigning God sent gov Fashola, haven't met anybody who's not pleased wth dis guy.may d Almighty Father continue 2 grant him peace knowledge, ghealth stability & understandin 2guide d country &serve d city of Lagos 2which he was appointed.God bless Nigeria, gov.Fashola, all leaders who ascribe 4d progress + all well wishers of our blessed Nation.
When I was a kid, I used to go to this areas called Parkview and Banana island; we lived at Milverton in Ikoyi and these places used to be the most beautiful marshland and park sad
Yep! I gat you. I lived on Turnbull Road in Ikoyi so I know. The beautiful marshland was known as Ajegunle Ikoyi and they residents there sold the most wonderful fresh fish you could ever find. Hope they were offered some adequate affordable housing elsewhere to continue with their livelihood.
Yes, this is very close to Victoria Island. About 5 miles. So did you move to Nigeria yet. You will like Banana Island and Victoria Island. I was there recently. Wish that I could move there.
All you people singing praises, please do not complain next time your loved one dies because there are no hospitals or a working police in your area. This is where all the money for those projects went.
The songs are: My Parole - Terry G Feat. JayWon & Joe EL Back When - Davido Feat. Naeto C Today, Today - eLDee Bebelo - Kelly Hansome Feat. Femi Large Maga Don Pay - Kelly Hansome
By now, Hopefully, Banana Island has plenty of grocery stores, shopping malls, hospitals, health clinics, security, police, schools entertainment venues, (museums, art, live shows), and places of worship, and other things to make life comfortable in such a beautiful place and environment.
real estate shopping is not merely about the deal and the closing. 1st of all you need to be in love with the real estate in order to provide high end quality to the tenants. if you able to provide quality than you can purchase plenty of high quality units, to scale out your business and go for quantity. or you purchase a chosen few in the high price segment, if you prefer to purchase less but still gain a high profit margin. nice vid GOD BLESS ;)
Maybe when I win the Euro lotto, I will leave London and get a house here. Lagos is the best state .......well certain parts of it. I am from the other side of the country but love coastal states. As for Abuja, no thanks. No beach, overpriced and too north for me.
This is real nice. It makes me want to move to Naija. U guys did good with the showing with nice music. What's the name of the song played @11.00 mins and after to the end of this video pls?
+Aframaco it is a Man made island, a new development, Lagos Lagoon and a creek bordering it on both sides, so the places you see covered in bush and high growth are plots of land either for sale or to be developed. Trust me Nigerians are good with Landscaping.
+Aframaco My thoughts exactly. In fact I was going to make such a comment but thought that persons were perhaps awaiting the completion in construction of more of the houses; then they would have an overall clean-up and the begin landscaping.
It's amazing haven seen such infrastructural facilities in a country that had been pasted as a declining one by many that live abroad. It isn't indeed a growing economy but a grown one due to the emergence of such structures. With its beauty which cannot b compared 2 some houses in the UK.It's a matter of time Nigeria would be a place to live by many.D,the cost of acquiring land in Nigeria is on the high which an average man can't afford due to greed of others trying to rip others off their pocket
heh. its ok. The only thing i will keep complaining about is the surroundings (people's clothes hanging on wire fences surrounding the high storey buildings, i just don't get, if the less privilege are working there, then they should provide proper living places for them). Lets hope they finish it properly and maintain it.
@biotictec ...Well, you know what Brother Bob Marley said in the song "Getup Standup....you can fool some people sometime...but you cant fool all the all the time. Yeah man, I 'm glad you ve seen the light.
@biotictec A sandwich doesn't make a picnic. This is the exception, so don't fall for it. The guys who own this probably spend most of their time outside the country anyway.
If not irresponsible rascals that have high jack rulership in Nigeria, our towns and villages should have been transformed like this state by state local council by local council. All town planning people ought to have done is provide a prototype design for every council and follow it through that design and standard are complied with. People could be working in Lagos and be living in Ibadan, even Akure, so long train transport is there working to time. Nobody will envy anyone. But no the feudal rich among wants good things for them alone so the rest can be their 'Gibeonites'. It wont be for long.
In which country are the rich or even middle class the majority? Please name one place. My dear, poor people are the majority EVERYWHERE in the world. If some people show their nice parts it's because they understand the importance of perception.
The whole of nigeria should be like this! Africa period and better!
Eu gostaria muito de ir pra Nigéria

Nice 👍
The world's most expensive farmland
nice but roads still need some polishing.
Walled City! A bit melancholic really, despite all the cash!
That's correct!
The walls are unfortunate, and it needs more trees. Otherwise, it is very nice.
Bardzo pieknie....
Looking forward with hope
that's insane! damn
