      Hey, Nilda! I'm sure you can pass it the second time. Make sure you are studying, especially your weak areas. If you don't already have them, make sure you get the study guide and the practice tests.

    Ugh I wish I would of got more help and ask for help … I had the worst experience at a chiropractic office I finished my externship and decided I didn’t wanna stay because the Dr. was really mean 😢 and he made me clean his whole office on my last day and didn’t give me a thanks or anything after that I gave up on my career …sadly it’s been 5 years now I want to get back in the field sadly no one hires me

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  2 года назад +3

      Wow sorry to hear… but the good thing is that what I mentioned in this video applies to you as well. You may want to stay away from big companies and go around to some private offices. Also, try the recruiting/temp agency route. I know people who were out of the field for years and were able to find something. So it’s possible. Let me know how it goes 😊

    Hello Ms. K question? I have been the Healthcare field for over 20yrs, I am a certified nursing assistant, I have been in the hospital, IMCU, ICU, Oncology floors, I have 4yrs of hospice exp working a 8 bed unit, also field experience now. I bridge over too CCMA. I received my training online. No externship. I been out and not used my certification in MA over a year due to having Covid-19 it has been a struggle but. Through God's grace and mercy, prayers. I have gotten better. I am a long-term patient of this, but want and determined to work somewhere part-time. What would you recommend??

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  2 года назад +1

      Hey Mrs J! Are you saying you became an MA without any hands-on training? I’ve never heard of that on the clinical side. If that’s the case, you will need that before working in an office. You may want to contact your school and ask how you can get it. Employers will want you to have it, unless you go to a private office that’s willing to train you

    • @mrsj5339
      @mrsj5339 2 года назад +1

      Yes, Ms. K this is what am stating, but I have been a nursing assistant for over 10 plus yrs, I know how to assist in taking vitals, EKGs, blood glucose etc... I just didn't have the externship with the school and I'm certified with NHA

    Can we get some tips and suggestions for MA’s who are seeking employment in other states and how they should go about that?

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  Год назад +2

      You mean like if you are relocating to another state? I would suggest searching some medical assistant recruiting agencies in the area where you will be moving to. That’s probably your best bet. You can let them know you are moving soon. I always suggest recruiters because they are diligently trying to find you employment.

    I have a question. My friend lives in S.C. She just finished her prerequisites, and was accepted into the medical assistant program. She has an 11 year old drug misdemeanor. Will this affect anything? It does not mention anything on the website. It only mentions 7-10 years, along with crimes like abuse, etc

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  Год назад +1

      This is a great question, and I’m not sure as it depends on the company. Just tell her to be honest about it when they ask and just explain what happened and that it was a long time ago. Many companies do not care as much about misdemeanors as they do felonies. But again it does depend on the company.

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  Год назад +1

      Hey, it’s okay that you don’t know what that is. Most people don’t know until they enroll in school. That’s where you get your hands on experience at the end of your program. You’ll be in a doctors office for about a month or so. You have to get a certain amount of hours to officially become a medical assistant. The number of hours required vary from school to school.

    Hi ms k! Do you know I’f places will higher me if I’m not 18 yet? My school offers medical assistant school along with high school and by the time i graduate I will still be 17. Would it be legal or likely for me to get hired?

    • @MedicalAssistingwithMsK
      @MedicalAssistingwithMsK  9 месяцев назад

      Hey! Great question… I know that there are some places that may hire you maybe as front desk staff. But I think most places want you to be 18 before they allow you to do direct patient care. You should call around or go visit some private offices in your area. You have the best chance of getting hired with them versus a big company.
