Loving this! Especially the one that looks like it is all one piece of metal. Cool!😎 I've seen this done with many wires. The maker soldered the ends together onto a small strip of sheet to keep it all together in a vise for weaving. Do you need to anneal during all that bending, and pulling? Have you tried it in a static vise? I'll give it a whirl and report in! I bet rolling the weave in a mill afterwards would be interesting, too.🌺 🌺 🌺
I seem to remember soldering the ends together or to something years ago a few times. It worked pretty much the same:). I actually thought about rolling it out. I'll have to try it!
Hi Chad! Thank you so much for all of your tutorials! I’m a beginner silversmith and I expect I’ll be learning much from this channel. How do I become a patron? I’ve sent an amount to support you but I’m not too technically apt. Thanks!
These will be neat to try when I get a lot better. Thanks man
I think you'll find that these aren't super difficult once you do one or two. Thank you Jim!
Cool project, Chad! Thank you for introducing new techniques to us!
My pleasure Anne! Thank you:)
Very nice rings 😊 I've tried only one time, but I get so impatient 🙈 Need to be in the right mood for a project like that I think.
After you make a couple of woven things, it’s pretty easy:). At first I found it hard to get it to be consistent, but that gets easier. Thanks Elin!
@@chadssilversmithing mine looked like some 3yrs old had fun 😆🙈
Very nice rings and good tutorial Chad. Thanks for that. I really liked the pieced together ring. Will have to try it. Enjoy the weekend!!
You too Bill!
Great ideas and tutorial. Can you show in more detail how exactly you blend the wires into the solid ring? 😊 Thankyou.
I’ll try to do that if I revisit this in a future video. Thanks Alyson!
Thank you. I tried your herringbone pattern. Actually used 1.5mm wire and made a spinning ring. Looks great. Thanks for all the ideas.
I love the braided wire. I will have to try this.
Thanks Eric! Sort of soothing to me.
Fantastic, Chad! I want to try this one too!
You should!
Excellent tutorial as always. Thanks.
Thank you John!
Very nice 👍. I have never made this style ring, may have to try it.
You should Van! Thanks:)
So nice. Thank you.
Thanks Gisella! Glad you liked them:)
Thanks!
Thank you Shari! That was very kind of you:)
I love doing macrame so doing it in wire is a great idea.
Maybe I'll make a plant hanger or one of those owls like they did in the 70's:)
😂
Thank you
You are welcome Curious!

Thank you so much! I learn a lot. Will go looking for the flux bottle ;-). Here in Holland we use boraxine.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks Lishal!

Let me know when you're ready to bring in the knitting.
I can crochet silver wire, but haven’t ever learned to knit:). Thanks for the comment Sarah!
Did I miss he announcement of you exciting news?
Hehe, I had to postpone until Saturday:)
Great design ideas for braided metal rings! FYI, the end of your video displays “Chad 2023”
Whoops! Thanks:)
I'm good at complicated knots :) lol
It’s surprising how often textile related skills overlap with metalsmithing:)
Thanks!
Thank you so much Stephanie!
