What helps you to grow in your relationship with God?
Putting in an effort to abide in Christ in every area of my life. I pray Jude 1:24 too… Lord, your Word says You are able to keep me from falling. Please do whatever is necessary in my life to make sure that I do not fall away. 🙏
Spending time in the Word and relying on the Holy Spirit to teach me the TRUTH of what is being said in the scriptures. It is mind-bogging to see and hear people take the scripture out of context to make it fit their lives and then believe a lie. I am so thankful that your ministry has ushered me into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. There is a way to live as a Christian and once the church fully discover this truth, we can be more productive. You have explained things so well in your books and on your podcasts and I'm always sharing your teaching with those who have an eagerness for truth!
The Word and prayer!
Word, prayer and fellowship with other believers....
@JohnBevereTV spending time talking with Him, spending time in His Word, and fellowship with other Christians.
Amen....I was Hindu for 29 years....born again 28 years.... knowing that Jesus died for me on the cross....I will serve no other God but my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!🙏
How did this happen?
Literally read 2ND Peter 1 this morning with my prayer group! Absolutely astounding and amazing how Holy Spirit confirms his WORD.
I appreciate the smaller 10 min or less clips/highlights on specific topics. Easier to approach and digest, and to fit into a busy day. More please 🙏
Yes
It was not by accident that found this. Thank you❤
2 Peter 1 is a beautiful reminder of the path we must walk. To be faithful servants and walk with effort to obey in the midst of a crooked generation and the pull of the flesh. Peter was a man well familiar with failure. It's interesting to see his writing as an older man and his insight. He was fulfilling what the Lord asked him to do - "Feed My Lambs. Feed My Sheep." Let's listen and follow this wisdom!
He touches on the words of Isaiah 52:14 here. I try to remind myself of it with the personal exhortation to "never forget!" It says: "Just as many were horrified by the sight of You He was so disfigured He no longer looked like a man; His form was so marred He no longer looked human." (New English Version)
What you are describing is what I consider to be "our daily bread".
Jesus give me strength I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I won’t give up but Lord I’m so discouraged. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus hear my prayers and please continue to give me strength.💕💕
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30: Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
I pray for the Lord to meet your every need and give you supernatural strength. May He send for you and aide you with resources that you will not lack anything you need concerning life and godliness. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ.
I am a single mom with four children . One of 4 has special needs she is now 21. God is faithful, it might not be easy. But God is able and He is faithful. Please reach out beyond here especially your local church community. They might not do much but reach out anyway. Refuse to suffer in silence especially when you’re running out of food for children.
Praying for you now
God is for you my dear and He won't fail you. Romans 8:31-39
I so appreciate John Brevere and his son Arden sitting down and speaking about the way to prevent ourselves from falling away and becoming unfriitful. It is not enough to start well, we must finish well to reap the reward of eternal life. God bless you both and your entire family! (Love to Lisa!) 😊❤
Amen God's word will remain the truth nothing but the truth
Love you Mr. Bevere, for loving Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice!
John 15:6 NKJV
[6] If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
II Thessalonians 1:8-9 NKJV
[8] in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
Romans 11:22 NKJV
[22] Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
Matthew 7:21 NKJV
[21] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Whats the will of the Father ?
I Thessalonians 4:3-8 NKJV
[3] For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; [4] that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, [5] not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; [6] that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. [7] For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. [8] Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 10:35-39 NKJV
[35] Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. [36] For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: [37] “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. [38] Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” [39] But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
Luke 19:27 NKJV
[27] But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’ ”
Luke 6:46 NKJV
[46] “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
John 15:14 NKJV
[14] You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
I John 2:3-6 NKJV
[3] Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. [4] He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [5] But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. [6] He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
I John 3:6-9 NKJV
[6] Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. [7] Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. [8] He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
May the lord reveal it you
Thank you. God bless you
I know exactly what your are saying .I experience these things alot .I thought for along time it was my own fault

Thanks to God, my daughter who introduced me into the digital market. Moreso, thanks to Ms *Kathleen Mary Vella*

Big thanks to Ms *Kathleen Mary Vella*
Her top notch guidance and expertise on digital market changed the game for me
Praise God. This passage in 2 Peter 1 is bedrock! God is providing a most precious promise to us, that we don’t ever have to fall away!
We don’t ever have to fall away, as long as we are not just hearers of the Word, but Doers of the Word…..
❤️ & 🕊️
I am grateful
Sorry, but the perfect imputed righteousness of Christ is what I'm clinging to. Yes, I'm being sanctified, but it is Christ that holds me till the end. The good news of the gospel is that Christ has paid it all. Amen.
In order to be imputed righteousness, we must believe like Abraham in romans 4:20-24.
Romans 4:20-24 NKJV
[20] He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, [21] and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. [22] And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” [23] Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, [24] but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,
Thoes are who this promise applies to..
Romans 4:5-8 NKJV
[5] But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, [6] just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: [7] “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”
The inheritance isn't based on imputed righteousness. It's based on being righteous by faith.
Romans 4:13 NKJV
[13] For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Yes, but that's like the first baby steps in a Christian walk that's foundational. But you can build on it. Now that you're righteous, you haven't done anything. Build a house on that.
Please pray for all of us they are desensitizeing us all
2 Peter 1:8
I love reading Peter’s books.
I really enjoy your teaching. This teaching is so crucial for today! I am so thankful to find someone who cares enough to share the seriousness of the gospel. Thanks for your obedience and keep the podcasts coming. My life has been transformed by your books, messenger X , and your podcasts.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Holy Spirit fruit in us, as we know our IDENTITY IN CHRIST, comes forth as we look to Jesus! ❤
Hebrews 12:2
Galatians 5:22 & 23❤
AMEN🙏✝️♥️💯🙏
Awesome
“Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?- just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
Galatians 3:3-14 NKJV
❤❤❤❤ Greetings brother John, right now, we should be focusing on, believing and proclaiming the gospel. We must believe, how, Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose again the third day, amen. Maranatha🎉🎉🎉❤
Exercise Effort, discipline in the Word of Knowledge and we won’t Fall Away! Excellent to point out Pastor!!!
It is sad how many are walking away during trials. Jesus suffered so much More! No one will be able to enter His Kingdom without having suffered on Earth. It’s part of what qualifies us to be able to live there, with God, after we have Endured these things with Him. 🙌❤️🙌
Amen 🙏
Same! Praise God
Amen
Please pray for those abroad whom God's hand is outstretched upon❤
Amen Amen and Amen
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing Revelation..❤🙌
Looking forward to seeing you at awakening this weekend in Brisbane.
Excellent teaching!
I hate it when people tell you to be careful not to fall away and do this and do that because otherwise you may fall away. Come on give me a break. No one can snatch me out of Jesus' hand and if Jesus would loosen his grip and let me fall then all the effort i could ever make could not hinder that.
What most christians need is actually growing in the knowledge of how much God loves us in Jesus. That's what truly matters and will make you grow spiritually and free you from all kinds of burdens you're carrying.
Let yourself fall in Gods loving arms, that's what we need to do.
Amen!!! Well said
But there is still sanctification that a believer has to go through.
1 Peter 4:1-2,13,17-19 KJVS
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. [17] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? [18] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? [19] Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
2 Ptr 1:9

Great teaching! Can’t wait to hear your sermon this Sunday in Citipointe
Artak Armine❤❤❤
Use the Word of God, the Holy KJV Bible, where God has promised to preserved it from this generation.
HOW YOU CAN KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust, etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust firmly, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! Rom.3:25,5:8,9,10:9, Is.53:5,6, II Cor.5:21, Ephes.1:7,13,4:30, Heb.10:14,38,39, I John 1:7, 5:7,13,20

This is what Melissa Jonas Richard does, she has changed my life.
After raising up to 60k trading with her, I bought a new house and car here in the US and also paid for my son’s (Oscar) surgery. Glory to God.shalom.
Wow, that’s inspiring. How can I contact Melissa Jonas Richard?

I totally disagree. Effort is what has been pulling me down and destroying my faith, left me discouraged and depressed because i wasn't making any progress whatsoever. That is the case of most christians who try hard and then even harder because they don't see any fruit of their effort. This can lead even to exhaustion and burn outs.
A famous bible teacher once said "not effort but yielding" which means to give up and actually rest in everything Jesus has accomplished and acknowledging what changed in us when we became children of God.
Now there is some kind of effort that resides in letting go, giving up on trying in your own strength.
I understand the part where you go through everything Jesus has done for us to not forget what we have been forgiven of but i'd rather look and Jesus seated at the right hand of God in all his glory and me seating with him reminding myself that i am here only because of what Jesus did. I don't need to whip myself spiritually by thinking about all my sin and what Jesus had to endure to remove it.
I'd rather rejoice in my salvation, thanking Jesus for his love, forgetting my past sin the same as God does because it is written "i will remember their sin no more" and seeing myself white as snow, holy and washed by the blood of Jesus. That's the effort God asks us do make.
I use to confuse effort with works. John explains the difference well in one of his podcast episodes. It’s like when you’re married. If you put no effort into your marriage, you’re still married (although your relationship with your spouse will suffer). On the other hand, if you put the other person first and work on your relationship through daily effort, your marriage will grow stronger. That’s the kind of effort he’s talking about. I hope this helps 🙏
@@_.Janine._ I get what you're saying. But what is being said in the video doesn't encourage christians to spend time with God. Sitting there every morning and playing this mental video of Jesus getting tortured has nothing to do with building a relationship.
Tell people who they are in Christ. Tell people how much God loves them. Tell people how close and intimate God wants to be with them, how you can live conscious of his precious presence every second of your life. Tell them how God has a plan for their life, to fill their heart with peace and overwhelming love.
Tell them over and over until they believe and see them go to pray to their father in heaven early in the morning without even telling them to do so. All because they can't wait to be and talk with him because he is so wonderful.
That's how you tend the sheep of Jesus. Not this crap about doing this or that. And look at me, I do this and that and bla bla bla.
Come on grow up.
@19805093 : Crap? Remember that love does not behave itself unseemly, brother. I believe our thoughts and opinions are best presented in a spirit of meekness.
I don’t believe that verse 2Pet 1:10 is speaking about a falling away from the faith. But rather keeping you from falling into sin.
What’s the difference?
True but sin gives birth unto death and thus loss of faith.
If you continually don't keep yourself in check, constantly fall into a pattern of sin, you will fall away from the faith. And it scares me more with every sin--and I sin everyday whether I want to or not--I'm constantly trying to keep my faith in check.
"Am I listening to the right/good people?" "Is this good for reproof? for rebuke? for restoration?" "Is this fruitful and will it help preserve my faith or cut down my vine before fruit is able to bloom?"
In a world where we are bombarded at every turn by false teachers, false claims, false prophets, etc...we can't just be concerned in not falling into sin but failing to keep the faith.
I read 2 Peter and that section as a whole is about keeping the faith ans staying away from sin.
@@justanotherfollower agreed. This whole discussion and specifically the verses that Peter speaks to are 100% true.
@@Velvetygravel there is a falling away that will happen as we get closer to the end of the age. That’s a major sign of the end times. Don’t think the falling here is speaking of apostasy. Rather the context of these verses, say that those who practice these seven qualities will be fruitful in the knowledge of the Lord and they will keep you from ( sin) falling.
Do the stations of the cross!!

Hey, I believe that Jesus Christ is coming soon to rapture His Church so I wanted to reach out to as many as possible. Please remember that there is only one God that leads to Heaven, the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit) and it’s about having a personal relationship through Jesus Christ versus religion (John 14:6 ESV). Blessings.
NLT??? Comic book translation. Geez,,,😮
