Words cannot describe how uplifting this message was for me. 20 years ago i was told there is no forgiveness from Allah, and there is only hellfire,,forever. So,immediately i fell into despair, depression, anxiety. Doubt in myself,but never in Allah. It was i who was foolish in my behavior, and consequence came. I broke the goodwill and promise of duty to everyone and Allah's. How can anyone keep pushing when no matter what Dua you recite, no matter how many prayers you do, or how much zakat i give, or how many tears i shed...how can there be forgiveness for me,.? Why should there be? That is Despair, and it has been my companion ever since. I just cannot forgive myself.
Brother don’t lose hope . I’m on the same boat . This life is a test. Lets get through it together . May Allah accept our repentance . I heard sheik mufti menk say once . You are not the owner of forgiveness so you don’t have to forgive yourself. Allah will do that for you . Stay safe brother .
We are all like you. Don’t lose hope my friend. The devil wants you to feel down and think about your past sins to keep you down. The fact you feel shame is a sign you are not that person anymore. Your goodness will shine if you allow it and remove yourself from your thoughts of the past mistakes. Embrace the new you. Allah loves those who ask for forgiveness because it is good for you. Also think about all the good things you’ve done. Allow that to define you and work towards doing good deeds everyday. I love you and I wish you a peaceful future. May Allah bless and forgive you as I ask that he forgives all of us.
Subhan Allah the thing is i been talking with this girl for sometime both of our parents know about us and they want us to be married we scheduled it for this year but 4 months before the marriage we planned this year she said i don't wanna talk to you till that time ,but there's a feeling inside me that she doesn't want me i really wanna know if we are at least allowed to talk with the intention of getting married and the fact that our parents agreed for us to get married.

I needed this. I made lots of shamefull mistakes, in the past. I feel shame and have suicidal thoughts.
Our soul is like a U when we start filling it with the good deeds from the other sides bad deeds gets away from the other never loose hope.
