This is such a beautiful video in every way! Evgeny is extremely talented and while he normally plays a Bechstein, playing on a moving wagon would make it impossible for lugging this concert grand piano, but he still does an amazing job with the Feurich. Even though the quality of the sound isn’t comparable, you can’t even tell - this piece was done so well, and with the same emotion and feeling he puts into all of his arrangements! I’m surprised that Evgeny doesn’t have the notoriety in the US that he deserves. (I was trained as a classical pianist and organist since I was 5, and I’m now 67, but learned on a Steinway concert grand piano 🎹 - I do like the richness of the Bechstein sound and while similar to the one I had, if I had to do it all over again, I think I’d go with the Bechstein!)

Absolutely. Aside from the incredible talent his self presentation is superb - when I saw the video of him playing at a concert when he was only 13 he already had it down. He’s a natural. And in his sweet struggle videos he is so likable in addition to them being informative. I only wish he had been around when I was learning piano (decades ago!)
