The fugal arrangement of "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" is one of the most delightful thing's I've ever heard. I think that's even a preciously short Vivaldi Winter reference near the end. It's wonderfully-done. Do you have a favorite Christmas carol, Ros?

My favorite might be either O Come O Come Emanuel or God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, both of which are in minor keys, so I can understand your love of the Carol of the Bells. You can be comforted to know that I have been taking the cold very well. I think about a decade ago, we moved down south from where we used to live in the US. While we are by no means warm, we have been passed up by the most of any kind of snow. Which, in my opinion, is actually quite sad because I love snow, but at least it means you don't have to worry about me driving through the snow. What bitter winds have blown my way are such that my snow-loving Northern blood can handle. How is it where you are? I hope the heat is not too merciless to you, my friend.

I know what you mean about loving the snow. I do too although it is probably a more abstract thing in my mind. The last time I encountered snow was when I had just landed in London and was travelling to my hotel on the bus. It was quite magical and despite the fact that I was shivering, I ran out into the street as soon as I could. Merry Christmas dear JT, 🎄🎄

A couple of days ago, our snowless streak was broken, albeit slightly, when a short flurry passed through. None of it stuck and it passed very quickly, but I risked being late to Chemistry class because I wanted to capture the magical moment in poetry. Also, as an update on my school situation, finals week is bearing down, so I have been basically spending all of whatever time I can this weekend studying. But, once Thursday morning passes, I will be all done with this semester and ready for Christmas with my family and a long break.
