Thank you for this video. You encouraged me when I was about ready to give up! I did have to choose "Run as Administrator" to get the files to extract, rather than choosing it from a list, as I am running Windows 11 (perhaps this is the difference). But now my older printer which I was not sure would work with this laptop at all, is up and ready to roll. Just printed a test page & I'm all set!!! Thank you!

Thank you for these excellent instructions! HP website absolutely no help at all on Windows 11 for these older printers - you've saved my lovely old Laserjet 1020 from going to landfill! Just one thing though - my laptop had no extractor tool on it, so there was no 'Extract to' option when I right-clicked on the HP .exe file. I downloaded 7-zip and used that.

On Windows 11, I chose Run as Administrator once I had the file on my desktop, to get it to extract, rather than looking for the extract file. I don't think this may be your issue, but I downloaded the file for Windows 10 when I am running Windows 11, and there are no issues.
