Wow, that apartment is so much better than a tiny home. I have no idea how much her rent is, but it is so much more spacious and liveable. Glad she's so happy there.
Yeah,I agree. And the big thing is... when something goes wrong, THEY fix it!! I have put my name on an apt list, but it could take years. My mom put her name on it probably 7 months or so ago.... she does pay more there but some things are worth it. Plus she's closer to stores. I now see why she didn't go places a lot while living up here LOL everything is so far!!! Ugh! Lol

Your mother did a great service to provide review of documented information about the problems she experienced with her Tiny Homes, IMO, I would follow up with legal steps to retrieve my money, if I were her. Thanks to your Mom for sharing her story. I have watched many ITH videos, and even considered ITH. However, I have been skeptical from the start due to lack of clarity and the unprofessional manner exhibited in some of the videos. Congratulations to your Mom on her new home and prayers for a satisfactory resolution to said issue.
Ugh, you should've been on the NYE livestream last year when Randy was wearing an adult diaper AND set firecrackers off on the Christmas tree trying to blow it up and ended up injuring people. That was when I unsubscribed. I've been blocked from posting comments on their YT page because I posted the truth about catching Randy in a lie. When I caught him, and had photo evidence of the lie, I immediately cut contact with them and never signed the contract they sent me for the home I was supposed to be purchasing. After that, I drove to Quartzite to meet him in person, face to face, to see if the slimy, creepy feeling I had dealing with them online was the same in person. I drove 20 hours round trip, paid for hotels, food. The second my eyes locked eyes with Randy, I had the sickest, creepiest feeling. It made that long drive and all the money I spent on hotels and food feel like a bargain because I could've been stuck with one of their $hitty Franken-boxes had I not backed out on the purchase when I caught Randy in the lie. The man will say anything and expect people just to sweep all his lies under the rug. Meanwhile, he records himself and posts it publicly where others can catch him in lie, too. In a few days, you can probably watch yet another New Years eve livestream where he tries to blow the company Christmas tree up with fireworks again. Apparently, this is Randy's annual tradition. Only this year, his attorney-brother works for him, so he may not be as reckless. Honestly, I think last year's NYE Livestream is what caused the Abbeville town to vote NO on the ITH invitation to build there. They invited Randy and Amanda there...wanting them to build in their community. Then they UN-invited them. smh That right there should tell you everything you need to know. If that doesn't work, Randy bought those 100 acres in Nevada for the off-grid community and didn't even bother to do a basic internet search on Google to see if off-grid living was allowed in Nevada. Spoiler alert, off-grid had been illegal in most NV counties for many years and Randy never bothered to do a BASIC Google search before buying 100 acres there. smh The man is reckless...impulsive...dishonest far too much of the time...expects people to sweep his lies under the rug and not confront him...makes promises he has ZERO intent on keeping. Heck, all the people he left homeless living in their cars AND paying for more than a year of storage because he was that ill-prepared to build their homes, but took all their money anyway. smh Honestly, I've never seen anything like it...
I happened to see a video last evening of Randy at his Christmas party for the ITH residents. It looks like the residents are hard working people and have probably sunk most of their money into buying a tiny home with the hopes of living there forever. Since he seems to have the power to cancel leases with no options, those folks are a high risk of becoming homeless. When something sounds to good to be true, it's too good to be true. I have a friend who was ready to purchase a home from him and move there. When she looked more closely, she changed her mind. Remember, "Buyer beware."

ITH thought they co do people wrong and get away with it because at the time, they were the only tiny house community around that area, and with cheap rent. Things are changing now though, as tiny house communities are slowly sprouting up in the vicinity.

Nice roomy apartment, with full-size appliances, I like that, and lots of cabinets in the kitchen. Randy just gives you two cabinets (one of them is the sink) and calls it a full-size kitchen. She is an intelligent and beautiful lady. Randy was in the wrong, and should have fixed everything on both houses, and done it right away, without hostility. If he had done the houses right in the first place, or fixed them up right, she would not have had to take him to court. I love her comment about their poor grammar. Also, looking back, when Randy was setting up the first communities and asked for $6,000 advance, to get the properties setup with water, sewage and electricity (I think internet), he set that he would give back by way of 2 years free rent, then they would pay $200.00 a month for two years, it should have been 2 1/2 years, because, $6,000 divided by $200.00 a month is 30, not 24, so he owes them 6 more months of free rent for $6,000.00 (or $1,200) for those who moved off the properties or he didn't renew their lease.
I think she was referring to Amanda and others raised in the Tennessee school districts. As for what they are teaching in Tennessee, doesn't seem like much. I noticed in their videos that Amanda has this habit of repeating everything he says as if she thinks we didn't hear him.

Maybe some people aren’t blind to it but know that that’s the only chance they have of having their own home now. There is no way I would pay $30,000 more for a home just so I could put it in his community and especially because he doesn’t do what he supposed to do in any way shape or form he just talks about it and talks and talks and talks! He is pompous and arrogant and very shady tries to put everything out there, but never follows through the sad part is that Amanda‘s mixed up in his crap!
Tell your mom congratulations on the new place. I am just now getting on the lists for income based senior apartments. I’m staying with my youngest daughter for now. I thank God for her everyday and she appreciates the help too.

It is bad business for that company and for people to see what they are capable of doing is actually a kind thing to do for those who may have considered this tiny home location, along with other victims of this cruelty. Always, the truth is a must. So many people have to backtrack to remember what lie they tell to each person and finally get all tangled up in those lies. @@AbbyD_TN The Judge could have dismissed the case because of a legal technically. Like something was not written or presented correctly according to the law. It was dismissed, but the Judge said that the case could be filed again, hopefully with the errors fixed. So, the Judge did not find Melissa's mom to be wrong.

Do you think that $200 Good deal, not when somebody lies to you. Where I live, I pay $400. The water is included the electric is included. And I only pay $30 Internet. But when people use people and rip them off and lie to them. I would take them to court in a big time. I hope you get your money back. I don't trust randy i've never trusted him the day I met him. Thank you for sharing yours and your mom's stories with ITH. I'm so sorry they bullied both of you. After seeing the tour of your mom's house a few months ago, I was shocked that ITH built her house so crazy with the stairs like that. I have been looking at ITH for the past couple of years because of the sense of community and affordable housing; however, the tiny homes are no longer affordable and the $10,000 up front lot price, along with monthly rent afterwards makes the whole deal completely unaffordable. I started seeing rumblings in the comments of their videos and they have recently been trying to address the anger in some of their videos. After hearing your story, it's plain to see they are not a good company to deal with. Again, so sorry that you're having to deal with this terrible situation, especially at Christmas. Praying for you that you'll find peace AND a better living arrangement. Hugs to you.

My husband gave me a portable dvd player (similar to yours) several years ago for Christmas. I love it!! When I get bored, I get it out and watch movies on it. Also, to protect it more (from being scratched up), I found a padded, zipper-closure, small computer case, that my dvd player fits in perfectly, as well as, a ziploc bag with all of the electronic gadgets (I’m a thrift store shopper)!!! So glad you have something to fill-in your long, quiet hours!! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻❤️ I’m glad your Mom finally got her word of truth recorded for all to see!! She said nothing “negative”, only truth, and she had the proof to show!!

I was very surprised to hear that Randy threatened to sue her if she would talk about ITH any further. Defamation of character is based on lies to destroy someone. I bought a really small used enamel top table( 20$!) for my Berkey and my keys, I put it between the kitchen and dining area. All my furniture is used, it will be fun for your Mom to get furniture! I hope that you have a good used furniture place there, it makes it so much less expensive. My house is really small (800 sq ft) and I love it.
Hi Melissa & your Mom. It was nice to see her place. It looks very roomy. You can tell your truth all you want. I believe you. I'm definitely not a Randy worshiper. I used to think it would be a neat idea to get a tiny home there and live in an intentional community, like the Grove or Beach. Melissa and you have opened my eyes to the truth of ITH. When I first saw the stairs of your tiny house, that they messed up so bad, I was mortified. How did they think a senior would be able to navigate them. They didn't fix what you asked for and didn't refund your $. They are just a bunch of liars.
I would be suing Randy for the price of the home. He did not give you what you contracted. I would not have moved the home until it was settled because I wouldn’t be moving it after that I’ll be buying it back.
Honesty is the best policy whether or not it hurts somebody it’s just nothing you can do. I’m going through a similar situation with my first builder and still waiting to battle that it’s been three years to get my money back which I lost a lot of. Yes, builders can take advantage I feel of some people thinking that you won’t worry about it.

Yeah, by law they have to have grab bars in the shower and by the toliet. They forgot to put them in my brand new apartment until I had knee surgery and told them they need to put them in. They said you don’t have them. They thought I already had them installed.

So happy for your mom. It’s laughable that Randy thinks throwing around defamation of character will scare your mom. That’s the mindset of a bully trying to cover up. If he didn’t have anything to hide, he wouldn’t worry about it. That note from the lawyer sounds like a junior high kid wrote it 😂 Judge Judy would have a hay day with Randy in her courtroom as she would laugh his defamation case out in embarrassment.
😂 I agree. I would've reported that lawyer to the state disciplinary board for writing a threatening letter with no legal grounds so the Board can administer attorney discipline.
If they signed a Non-disclosure Agreement, like most had to, who knows what the legal system says about that, but if what you are saying is the truth can they penalize you for that? (In a business environment if you are telling trade secrets (even if true) they probably could.) Was it even legal for them to make their residents sign a NDA? Questionable.

@@mmsanrio Yeah, any competent and ethical attorney would never have written that letter. I wish Melissa's mom would report him to the American Bar Association and TN state licensing board. I've dealt with attorney's before and there was no defamation case. That was a bullying and harassment letter that has no merit. Just because someone is an attorney, doesnt mean they are smart or ethical. Plenty of corrupt and stupid lawyers that will do anything for a buck. Man, I would have handled all of this so differently. No disrespect to anyone but I would have gone full force on this. I have had to deal with unethical and illegal issues at work and with products and I am quick to report people and get legal counsel as well as do public reviews.

Defamation? You are always lawfully allowed to state truths. ITH should be careful of the Streisand effect. I, too, STILL have no bill of sale or title for my home delivered 3/30/2022. A neighbor also paid $500 for ANSI certification and did not get a sticker placed on the window. One was later delivered, but looks fake and has no serial number.

Oooh, I like the idea of calling a local news station to try to get some issues resolved - especially the crazy stairs! Some stations do have human interest segments where they will step in and try to help resolve an issue. Surely ITH won't want bad press. I mean, those STAIRS! There is just no excuse for that.
I'd rather get my money back. It looks like Melissa mother paid $25,000 or more for each of the tiny homes, plus the cost of the repairs that she did, plus the cost of moving and storing the tiny that Melissa lived in, and probably other costs. That's easily over $60,000.
@@johannafenig6207 I think that Newport is getting wise to what Randy Jones is doing there. I believe that they changed the zoning code there (like Randy must put Fire Hydrants in). And Randy said that he will not build in Newport anymore (I assume because of the changes that Newport have made.)
It would be best if she went to a news station that is away from Newport, that's for sure. Randy is intertwined with many of the city folk that wouldn't want the bad rap on their town.

I agree. BBB is more more important than people realize. Google reviews and such are taken with a grain of salt because the person doesn't even have to visit the establishment. BBB reviews on the other hand you need facts. Further more, any municipality or investor will look at those so even if they don't get the help they need it will really help future customers.

I believe every word your mother shared. The lawyer should have waited to watch this video. He would have learned a lot. She needs to take Randy back to court. They would have to show proof they paid her and they obviously don't have that proof. If she had been paid, why didn't they attach copies of cashed reimbursement checks? The fact they would not certify her tiny home to get it off the property should tell anyone considering a tiny home purchase what type of service they would get from ITH.
They didn't certify because he knew he would have had to make good all those mistakes and bring it up to code, of which it would have costed him & his company $$🤨🤔

Very nice apartment your mom has, I have a one bedroom and I think I’ve accumulated even more stuff over the years. Horrible how ITH treated your mom (and you). One day they’ll get their just desserts. How wonderful to hear your mom being a born again Christian! (I’ve been one for a long time now, was blessed with a Christian mother and aunt who were strong in their faith)
The people that know what you need have been in need of the same thing at one time. Most people who haven’t been with out some thing that may not be a life or death necessity just don’t think of those things. Wish I was in a better place so I could help you out but things are tough right now.
That looks like a very nice place. I know maybe get a couch and maybe a table nice nice open space have just what you need. Easier to take care of even though you look like you’re doing pretty good getting around. That’s the best part one suggestion maybe you can give them to just buy the houses back or at least one of them
I cannot even imagine the emotional toll it would take on a mother with her daughter losing the promised land her 2nd tiny home was set on. Uprooting her daughter before Christmas. I truly hope he’ll make things right. I thought you called his atty a weasel, but I get it now. Seeing an ugly side from someone in a leadership role, who you both trusted must’ve been extremely frustrating & upsetting. We’re not talking about a product here, we’re talking about people’s homes.
ITH couldn't make it through a class action lawsuit right now 😂. Amber and another person (who works in their office) was caught embezzling 💰. I'm not sure if they got rid of her or not as I do believe Amber is related to Amanda somehow, and Amber also had an incident a while back on ITH grounds involving a pew pew. But yeah, ITH has no money for anymore lawsuits 🤣. (They already have quite a few pending right now).
Tell your mom to counter sue them has your mom turned any of this over to the BBB? She should...from what I've been seeing and hearing I'll have my Tiny Home built by someone else and I won't be living there for sure; thank you for the insight from you both...your mom's apartment was adorable
Your moms place looks really nice. Is it 55+ housing? I’m glad your mom is sharing her personal experience with us about her tiny homes. I feel bad that she had to take them to court and things have still not been resolved. What is their lame excuse for not giving her a title that matches tge registration number on tge trailer???? Randy has stated in his own videos that he has a really good crew now which means he DID NOT have a good crew in the past which would explain all of the mistakes and errors with your moms homes. You would think Randy Jones would also understand this and make amends knowing he had crappy employees previously who screwed up things. Its a terrible reflection on ITH and Randy Jones himself. He is always going on about what a standup guy he is but this kind of vicious behavior shows he is NOT the person he believes himself to be. He literally was on his soapbox during his Christmas party and cant help himself from talking about what a hardworker he is and how tough life has been. Boo hoo. Life is tough for many people and his always playing the victim gets tiring. Hopefully your mom fills us in on the other 20 complaints and she shouldnt fear Randy and his bogus threats of lawsuits. She has legitimate complaints and he cant stop her from telling everyone on youtube. She is simply talking about her bad experiences with ITH and I know she is not alone!!! As you can see I am no longer an ITH fantatic. I have heard of some pretty shady things going on with Randy and I have a feeling his bubble is going to burst soon because more and more complaints are rolling in and they cany shut everyone up. They suck at customer service and that is what is going to bring ITH down eventually. My mom lived in her tiny house for a while, but then she ended up putting her name on an apt list in town, and it took her like 9 months to get in to that apt. She likes having more room, and a maintenance man that comes to fix any problems. I don't know why my mom wanted to go tiny, i guess like everyone else who fell for Randy's lies . She likes tiny houses!
Beautiful apartment Mom! Does mom still have her dog? She can have her dog if she says he is her emotional support animal. She can get her doctor to write that her dog is her emotional support animal or you can get your dog certified on line. The landlord cannot charge you a pet deposit or keep you from having your dog. I believe your mom 100 percent and why would she lie! You can see all the mistakes Randy did on both houses!! I thought a few years ago the ANCI stickers were put on the inside of the windows in the houses. I remember when the ANCI inspector came to ITH. He is suppose to come to ITH once or twice a year. I have watched Randy’s videos over three years and I was at the last jam. Randy has said on his videos over and over again if their is ever a problem with the homes to let him know and he will fix it!! I guess he has changed his policy on this because this is NOT the only person this has happened to and it seems if Randy disagrees with the buyer and they live at ITH he evicts them. Everyone has the right to stand up for themselves when they are being treated wrong and this is a good example of someone being treated VERY wrong!! ITH better take a step back and correct the wrong things they are doing, if not Randy will be going bankrupt again.
You need to pay a fee to file a case. You can represent yourself in court yourself, if you know what you are doing. But in this case, I think that it is best to hire an attorney. Hourly rates for attorneys vary. And attorneys will ask for a retainer to cover many hours of work to be assured that they are paid. And of the documentation and other evidence has to be organized in a manner that is understandable. But these are just general rules, because I STILL do not know all of the facts of the matter and have yet to see the contracts and any other papers that were signed. An attorney would have to review all of this. Everything is just coming out in bits and pieces. I just found this, using google: What is the hourly rate of a lawyer in Tennessee? The hourly rate for a lawyer in Tennessee is between $452 and $123 per hour, with the average being $233.
Remember, speaking truths is NOT defamation and there is criteria he has to meet to prove defamation so never, ever allow Randy to try to silence you. He and people like him rely on others to not know their rights and the law. I hope some attorney comes along and files something against ITH for their collective wrongs bro bono. My mom put her name on it probably 7 months or so ago.... she does pay more there but some things are worth it. Plus she's closer to stores. I now see why she didn't go places a lot while living up here LOL everything is so far!!! Ugh! Lol

Thanks to your Mom for sharing her story. I have watched many ITH videos, and even considered ITH. However, I have been skeptical from the start due to lack of clarity and the unprofessional manner exhibited in some of the videos. Congratulations to your Mom on her new home and prayers for a satisfactory resolution to said issue.
Ugh, you should've been on the NYE livestream last year when Randy was wearing an adult diaper AND set firecrackers off on the Christmas tree trying to blow it up and ended up injuring people. That was when I unsubscribed.
I've been blocked from posting comments on their YT page because I posted the truth about catching Randy in a lie. When I caught him, and had photo evidence of the lie, I immediately cut contact with them and never signed the contract they sent me for the home I was supposed to be purchasing.
After that, I drove to Quartzite to meet him in person, face to face, to see if the slimy, creepy feeling I had dealing with them online was the same in person. I drove 20 hours round trip, paid for hotels, food. The second my eyes locked eyes with Randy, I had the sickest, creepiest feeling. It made that long drive and all the money I spent on hotels and food feel like a bargain because I could've been stuck with one of their $hitty Franken-boxes had I not backed out on the purchase when I caught Randy in the lie. The man will say anything and expect people just to sweep all his lies under the rug. Meanwhile, he records himself and posts it publicly where others can catch him in lie, too.
In a few days, you can probably watch yet another New Years eve livestream where he tries to blow the company Christmas tree up with fireworks again. Apparently, this is Randy's annual tradition. Only this year, his attorney-brother works for him, so he may not be as reckless.
Honestly, I think last year's NYE Livestream is what caused the Abbeville town to vote NO on the ITH invitation to build there. They invited Randy and Amanda there...wanting them to build in their community. Then they UN-invited them. smh That right there should tell you everything you need to know.
If that doesn't work, Randy bought those 100 acres in Nevada for the off-grid community and didn't even bother to do a basic internet search on Google to see if off-grid living was allowed in Nevada. Spoiler alert, off-grid had been illegal in most NV counties for many years and Randy never bothered to do a BASIC Google search before buying 100 acres there. smh
The man is reckless...impulsive...dishonest far too much of the time...expects people to sweep his lies under the rug and not confront him...makes promises he has ZERO intent on keeping. Heck, all the people he left homeless living in their cars AND paying for more than a year of storage because he was that ill-prepared to build their homes, but took all their money anyway. smh Honestly, I've never seen anything like it...
I happened to see a video last evening of Randy at his Christmas party for the ITH residents. It looks like the residents are hard working people and have probably sunk most of their money into buying a tiny home with the hopes of living there forever. Since he seems to have the power to cancel leases with no options, those folks are a high risk of becoming homeless. When something sounds to good to be true, it's too good to be true. I have a friend who was ready to purchase a home from him and move there. When she looked more closely, she changed her mind. Remember, "Buyer beware."
I saw that video as well. It did not look like many employees or residents showed up. Not even Amanda showed up. That should tell you something.

Me too. I believe tiny homes are the answer to the housing crisis but certainly not ITH homes/communities.
ITH thought they co do people wrong and get away with it because at the time, they were the only tiny house community around that area, and with cheap rent. Things are changing now though, as tiny house communities are slowly sprouting up in the vicinity.

What a lovely home and how positive your mom is..even when talking about her experience with ITH. She is full of grace.
Nice roomy apartment, with full-size appliances, I like that, and lots of cabinets in the kitchen. Randy just gives you two cabinets (one of them is the sink) and calls it a full-size kitchen. She is an intelligent and beautiful lady. Randy was in the wrong, and should have fixed everything on both houses, and done it right away, without hostility. If he had done the houses right in the first place, or fixed them up right, she would not have had to take him to court.
I love her comment about their poor grammar. Also, looking back, when Randy was setting up the first communities and asked for $6,000 advance, to get the properties setup with water, sewage and electricity (I think internet), he set that he would give back by way of 2 years free rent, then they would pay $200.00 a month for two years, it should have been 2 1/2 years, because, $6,000 divided by $200.00 a month is 30, not 24, so he owes them 6 more months of free rent for $6,000.00 (or $1,200) for those who moved off the properties or he didn't renew their lease.

I think she was referring to Amanda and others raised in the Tennessee school districts. As for what they are teaching in Tennessee, doesn't seem like much. I noticed in their videos that Amanda has this habit of repeating everything he says as if she thinks we didn't hear him.

There is no way I would pay $30,000 more for a home just so I could put it in his community and especially because he doesn’t do what he supposed to do in any way shape or form he just talks about it and talks and talks and talks!

Always, the truth is a must. So many people have to backtrack to remember what lie they tell to each person and finally get all tangled up in those lies. @@AbbyD_TN The Judge could have dismissed the case because of a legal technically. Like something was not written or presented correctly according to the law. It was dismissed, but the Judge said that the case could be filed again, hopefully with the errors fixed. So, the Judge did not find Melissa's mom to be wrong.

Do you think that $200 Good deal, not when somebody lies to you. Where I live, I pay $400. The water is included the electric is included. And I only pay $30 Internet. But when people use people and rip them off and lie to them. I would take them to court in a big time. I hope you get your money back. I don't trust randy i've never trusted him the day I met him. Thank you for sharing yours and your mom's stories with ITH. I'm so sorry they bullied both of you. After seeing the tour of your mom's house a few months ago, I was shocked that ITH built her house so crazy with the stairs like that. I have been looking at ITH for the past couple of years because of the sense of community and affordable housing; however, the tiny homes are no longer affordable and the $10,000 up front lot price, along with monthly rent afterwards makes the whole deal completely unaffordable. I started seeing rumblings in the comments of their videos and they have recently been trying to address the anger in some of their videos. After hearing your story, it's plain to see they are not a good company to deal with. Again, so sorry that you're having to deal with this terrible situation, especially at Christmas. Praying for you that you'll find peace AND a better living arrangement. Hugs to you.

Your mom is being so nice to ITH. I would ask for receipts and if they couldn't provide them I would take them back to court. Her apartment is very nice and big!
I would start with the Better Business Bureau. Ive used them a number of times successfully.
Better yet: Try Google: Tennessee Legal Services Program or Legal Aid Office, first.
Your mom's place is SO cute! She's actually pretty smart to go ahead and get this kind of place while she's still a 'spry young thing', cuz I know from experience she'll be glad she's already there if Father Time comes along and kicks her in the pants a time or two. My husband gave me a portable dvd player (similar to yours) several years ago for Christmas. I love it!! When I get bored, I get it out and watch movies on it. Also, to protect it more (from being scratched up), I found a padded, zipper-closure, small computer case, that my dvd player fits in perfectly, as well as, a ziploc bag with all of the electronic gadgets (I’m a thrift store shopper)!!! So glad you have something to fill-in your long, quiet hours!! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻❤️

Hello Melissa & Kody! Thank you for taking us to visit your mom in her new apartment. I hope she will be very happy there. I was very surprised to hear that Randy threatened to sue her if she would talk about ITH any further. Defamation of character is based on lies to destroy someone. Your mother was not doing any such thing. It definitely does seem to be taking on a type of "cult" community, when residents are spied upon for what they say or do. Randy has unlimited funds to spend on legal matters. Your mom doesn't & he knows it. This IS not a communist country, "yet," & we still have Freedom Of Speech. There is no vindictive spirit in your mom to harm anyone. She is only looking to be vindicated for what is rightfully hers. I hope she continues to pursue justice. 🏫🌹

As for ITH, the fact that they have done this to good people shows their true character and for those who think it can't happen to them they should think again. One thing I do know is that what goes around comes around. Your Mom did things the right way and only asked for what was due her. I bought a really small used enamel top table( 20$!) for my Berkey and my keys, I put it between the kitchen and dining area. All my furniture is used, it will be fun for your Mom to get furniture! I hope that you have a good used furniture place there, it makes it so much less expensive. My house is really small (800 sq ft) and I love it.

Hi Melissa & your Mom. It was nice to see her place. It looks very roomy. You can tell your truth all you want. I believe you. I'm definitely not a Randy worshiper. I used to think it would be a neat idea to get a tiny home there and live in an intentional community, like the Grove or Beach. Melissa and you have opened my eyes to the truth of ITH. When I first saw the stairs of your tiny house, that they messed up so bad, I was mortified. How did they think a senior would be able to navigate them. They didn't fix what you asked for and didn't refund your $. They are just a bunch of liars.
I would be suing Randy for the price of the home. He did not give you what you contracted. I would not have moved the home until it was settled because I wouldn’t be moving it after that I’ll be buying it back.
Honesty is the best policy whether or not it hurts somebody it’s just nothing you can do. I’m going through a similar situation with my first builder and still waiting to battle that it’s been three years to get my money back which I lost a lot of. Yes, builders can take advantage I feel of some people thinking that you won’t worry about it.

Yeah, by law they have to have grab bars in the shower and by the toliet. They forgot to put them in my brand new apartment until I had knee surgery and told them they need to put them in. They said you don’t have them. They thought I already had them installed.

If they signed a Non-disclosure Agreement, like most had to, who knows what the legal system says about that, but if what you are saying is the truth can they penalize you for that? I've dealt with attorney's before and there was no defamation case. That was a bullying and harassment letter that has no merit. Just because someone is an attorney, doesnt mean they are smart or ethical. Plenty of corrupt and stupid lawyers that will do anything for a buck. Man, I would have handled all of this so differently. No disrespect to anyone but I would have gone full force on this. I have had to deal with unethical and illegal issues at work and with products and I am quick to report people and get legal counsel as well as do public reviews.

Defamation? You are always lawfully allowed to state truths. ITH should be careful of the Streisand effect. I, too, STILL have no bill of sale or title for my home delivered 3/30/2022. A neighbor also paid $500 for ANSI certification and did not get a sticker placed on the window. One was later delivered, but looks fake and has no serial number.

Oooh, I like the idea of calling a local news station to try to get some issues resolved - especially the crazy stairs! Some stations do have human interest segments where they will step in and try to help resolve an issue. Surely ITH won't want bad press. I mean, those STAIRS! There is just no excuse for that.
I'd rather get my money back. It looks like Melissa mother paid $25,000 or more for each of the tiny homes, plus the cost of the repairs that she did, plus the cost of moving and storing the tiny that Melissa lived in, and probably other costs. That's easily over $60,000.

I agree. BBB is more more important than people realize. Google reviews and such are taken with a grain of salt because the person doesn't even have to visit the establishment. BBB reviews on the other hand you need facts. Further more, any municipality or investor will look at those so even if they don't get the help they need it will really help future customers.

I believe every word your mother shared. The lawyer should have waited to watch this video. He would have learned a lot. She needs to take Randy back to court. They would have to show proof they paid her and they obviously don't have that proof. If she had been paid, why didn't they attach copies of cashed reimbursement checks? The fact they would not certify her tiny home to get it off the property should tell anyone considering a tiny home purchase what type of service they would get from ITH.
They didn't certify because he knew he would have had to make good all those mistakes and bring it up to code, of which it would have costed him & his company $$🤨🤔

The people that know what you need have been in need of the same thing at one time. Most people who haven’t been with out some thing that may not be a life or death necessity just don’t think of those things. Wish I was in a better place so I could help you out but things are tough right now.
That looks like a very nice place. I know maybe get a couch and maybe a table nice nice open space have just what you need. Easier to take care of even though you look like you’re doing pretty good getting around. ITH couldn't make it through a class action lawsuit right now 😂. Amber and another person (who works in their office) was caught embezzling 💰. I'm not sure if they got rid of her or not as I do believe Amber is related to Amanda somehow, and Amber also had an incident a while back on ITH grounds involving a pew pew. But yeah, ITH has no money for anymore lawsuits 🤣. (They already have quite a few pending right now).

I’m glad your mom is sharing her personal experience with us about her tiny homes. I feel bad that she had to take them to court and things have still not been resolved. What is their lame excuse for not giving her a title that matches tge registration number on tge trailer???? Randy has stated in his own videos that he has a really good crew now which means he DID NOT have a good crew in the past which would explain all of the mistakes and errors with your moms homes. You would think Randy Jones would also understand this and make amends knowing he had crappy employees previously who screwed up things. Its a terrible reflection on ITH and Randy Jones himself. He is always going on about what a standup guy he is but this kind of vicious behavior shows he is NOT the person he believes himself to be. He literally was on his soapbox during his Christmas party and cant help himself from talking about what a hardworker he is and how tough life has been. Boo hoo. Life is tough for many people and his always playing the victim gets tiring.

As you can see I am no longer an ITH fantatic. I have heard of some pretty shady things going on with Randy and I have a feeling his bubble is going to burst soon because more and more complaints are rolling in and they cany shut everyone up. They suck at customer service and that is what is going to bring ITH down eventually.

My mom lived in her tiny house for a while, but then she ended up putting her name on an apt list in town, and it took her like 9 months to get in to that apt. She likes having more room, and a maintenance man that comes to fix any problems. I don't know why my mom wanted to go tiny, i guess like everyone else who fell for Randy's lies . She likes tiny houses!

Beautiful apartment Mom! Does mom still have her dog? She can have her dog if she says he is her emotional support animal. She can get her doctor to write that her dog is her emotional support animal or you can get your dog certified on line. The landlord cannot charge you a pet deposit or keep you from having your dog. I believe your mom 100 percent and why would she lie! You can see all the mistakes Randy did on both houses!! I thought a few years ago the ANCI stickers were put on the inside of the windows in the houses. I remember when the ANCI inspector came to ITH. He is suppose to come to ITH once or twice a year. I have watched Randy’s videos over three years and I was at the last jam. Randy has said on his videos over and over again if their is ever a problem with the homes to let him know and he will fix it!! I guess he has changed his policy on this because this is NOT the only person this has happened to and it seems if Randy disagrees with the buyer and they live at ITH he evicts them. Everyone has the right to stand up for themselves when they are being treated wrong and this is a good example of someone being treated VERY wrong!! ITH better take a step back and correct the wrong things they are doing, if not Randy will be going bankrupt again.
I don't see a good future for ITH. Randy Jones should be sitting in jail like Sam Bankman-Fried of the FTX scam.

You need to pay a fee to file a case. You can represent yourself in court yourself, if you know what you are doing. But in this case, I think that it is best to hire an attorney. Hourly rates for attorneys vary. And attorneys will ask for a retainer to cover many hours of work to be assured that they are paid. And of the documentation and other evidence has to be organized in a manner that is understandable. But these are just general rules, because I STILL do not know all of the facts of the matter and have yet to see the contracts and any other papers that were signed. An attorney would have to review all of this. Everything is just coming out in bits and pieces. I just found this, using google: What is the hourly rate of a lawyer in Tennessee? The hourly rate for a lawyer in Tennessee is between $452 and $123 per hour, with the average being $233.
