Volvo is already bought by Geely China. If you want to buy a Volvo, but your on a tight budget. better buy a Geely. Volvo technology. Both are made in China.
It’s the very reason why I got an Okavango.
Geely cars today are so good because of some technologies co-developed with Volvo, specifically for Geely Auto. Nonetheless, the technologies used for Volvo Cars are still completely different. You'd know when you try one. As a company, Volvo Phils still reports straight to Volvo AB and imports its units from either Sweden or Malaysia. Have a nice day! 😊

Of course, Volvo cars are still completely different. But Geely cars are not that different from Volvo.
I could sense a denial note from your end as you construct your sentence on a condescending tone against Geely.
Anyway, Geely They calls their tech “co developed”. But if you look up their design and tech execs and R&D. Most of them are from Volvo as well. Especially Guy Burgoyne at Geely Design. Even the 1.5TD engines are rebadged Volvo Engine of XC40 T3.
I’ve driven an XC90 and XC40. And I should say, the driving dynamics and comfort of these cars are very similar to the Okavango. Wala lang mga fancy tech, but they feel very similar. That’s why I got one, Geely cars are basically an another version of Volvo. But 3-4x cheaper.
@@yvespublico6419 I don't see how the comment should come to you as condescending. The only point is that Volvo co-develops techs specifically for Geely Auto, which makes Geely a good car.
Truth be told, there are features in Geely cars that I believe should also be in Volvo (like the CN95 and antibacterial filters, Panoramic 3D mode). Nonetheless, to say that T3 is the same 1.5 3-Cyl used by Geely is downright incorrect. When you ask Geely Philippines, they’d tell you that only 10% of the engine parts are developed to Volvo standards. I am not saying the Geely’s engine is bad but we simply can’t connect everything about Geely with Volvo. Also, Geely Auto is different from Geely Holding that owns the majority stake at Volvo Cars.
To say that the dynamics and comfort are similar is your opinion. Who knows, Geely might even feel comfier.

Truth be told, This is how you sound like “No Geely is not Volvo ew they’re different”. You are just nitpicking now to separate the both brands when in reality it’s the truth. Geely basically morphed into another Volvo with chinese roots.
As for the 10% claim, I didn’t see that on Geely Global’s press release on the 1.5TD. When you read it, it is basically the T3 1.5TD revised to Geely’s likings.
Of course, I get it. As Volvo PH sales, you wouldn’t want local Volvo lookers to think Geely is basically another version of Volvo. And cheaper. Since they would just buy a Geely instead.

The only thing I dislike in Volvo cars is the infotainment, they look so outdated.
