    I do this with cheap full cover ballerina nails from ali express and l tried your tip of scrubbing the gel into the nail and wow what a difference, that nail ain't budging! Thanks for all the great info!

    I’m curious about these but I’m pretty good with sculpting gel nails on forms and I kind of enjoy finish filing. Gives me a weird sense of accomplishment when I get a really nice shape. I learned from the best gel guru on RUclips 🤩. Tfs Guru

    Great video thanks Liz! Some even use primer instead of etching the underside of the nail too. Your natural nails look in great condition too!

    I totally agree with you on these! I recently tried some and I didn’t mind them too much but I do prefer to sculpt! These are good in a time pinch and I like these for art practice!

    I turn my led lamp upside down when doing this, a little easier when you are doing this on yourself!

      Me too! Just be careful not to stare at the light as UV is not good for eyes.

      I've noticed the light I bought it clamps to my desk so have free hands it makes me little dizzy to look at my nail when curing it.

    Thanks for this review. I am a new nail tech and was considering using this but I would rather sculpt a nail with proper shape and apex. I just need to keep practicing.

      As a nail tech, this is all I use on me. Makes it so much easier to get great nails, fast! Different brand though. I'll be heading over to your website now.

      I have several styles of tips from another brand.
      But I do want to try the almond shape as well as the gel. To me that is the shizzzzz. Being able to hold the to in place to quickly flash cure....

      I really like the fact of attaching the extensions to the natural nail plate with gel instead of using glue🤩
      I think this will be a perfect option for a client that needs an express service...
      Just got some ideas for services with this product🤓
      But thanks to your tutorials about gel extensions with forms this is my to go for any client I don’t even have the old fashioned tips 🤩✨

      Me too! but its ok..inexpensive enough and you go through them and pick out what works for your finger tips. maybe mix them up to help with sizing.

    Thanks for video. I have been hearing about these but wasn't sure how they worked. They are just the same as the full cover press on tips I use for daughter only gel base is used. I like that idea

    I choose these because of time and patience to do the art work. I'm a novice and a snow day I practice sculpting.,,plus i polygel on top. all to glamorize myself

    this type of system is great, but doing them on yourself is significantly harder than on another person. And Liz, your hands and nails are fine, it proves you're human like the rest of us. And its winter, dry and scaley come with the territory. LOL

    I tried doing on my own gel nails once recently, and as a beginner I didn't have a lot of control of my brush so I ended up getting some uncured product on my skin around my nail. Is getting a bit of uncured gel on your skin really bad?

    Iv been wanting to try these for the longest time. Mostly to use on myself so I don’t take so long doing my own nails. It’s hard when I have a baby who constantly wants my attention. But would I have to use the Kokoist builder gel and color gel since it’s a soak off? I just have light elegance at the moment so I’m thinking I’ll have to invest in the Kokoist line if I wanted to try the gelips?

    Hello! I've just tried the Kokoist for the first time. Trying it out at home before I use on clients. The tip did not stay down like it did on you. It popped before I could get it into the lamp. help?!

    Could I use the ButterCreams on these, could I use Jimmy Gel and then ButterCreams over the Gelips, or should I only use soft color gels?

      Yes you can. Just use Tack on the surface first before Buttercream so it adheres.

      Yes you can apply over old product as long as it is not lifting and is clean, thin and prepped.

    So glad you filmed this! I’ve been using a different brand of these but am interested in trying these from kokoist, they don’t look like they have much of an apex built in though like some of the other brands do, any thoughts? Love that there pre-etched and hope they come out with long/xtra long lengths! Your videos are always so helpful and so informative ❤️

      Linnea Burns I like using gelip tips on clients with flat nail beds, they fit better than the gel-x on this type!

      chanelis gucci I only have maybe 5ish clients that have flat nail beds I use them on but they all last just as well as gel-x on others. Typically 2-3 weeks, my highest with gelip being 4.5 weeks and that was a girl who even went to Jamaica was in the water a lot and building buildings.

    Can you apply these on nails that have some product on the nail? I use an efile and while I do file most product off I am careful not to go to the nail plate.

      Flash cure first and then you can let go and fully cure.

    I feel like these would be great for people looking for one-time special occasion nails, maybe for a prom, bridesmaid, bride... Would you recommend them for that type of usage? The seem as though they’d be easier to remove at home.

    Can these full cover nail be used to make press on nails? If so how would you adhere them to the nail ?

      Yes you can. You could use some of those double sided press on adhesive tabs (can be purchased online on a bunch of sites) or you could glue them but glueing down nails is a pain to take off.

    How are these for wider nail beds/fingers?

      Depends on how wide. I have pretty wide thumbs and they do fit. Sizes seem to fit just about anyone. My mom has very wide nails too and they fit her.

      @@TheNailHub I had no idea that you had wide nail beds. Your pointer is a 4, mine is a 6 in the right and 7 on the left. But I have a few clients who have really small nail beds.

    What grit buffer do you use to rough up your natural nail? I keep hearing different things :(

      It's 100/180. I usually use the 180 side for natural nails.
