Thanks for the Effort you're pouring into this channel. From this information, RW has some great views about how they treat their products and customers. Looking forward to supporting them and you. Great work.
If you are not aware this whole game is basically a 3d version of Space station 13 series. This includes the the manual hand swapping and inventory management. Space station 13 was the original among us type game and more and I hope stationeers can become that good and not just a survival game but one with further objectives and game styles, like alien encounters etc.
maybe after the map update they may update all graphics to make it feel more real. Would also like to see nuclear power to be added in now that we have in world liquid. Also how cool would it be to have maps with lakes of liquid and underground liquid and geysers? We also need more wall and window parts. rounded parts and different slopes.
Ye, others said that, too. What's your listening device? I have my TV's cheap built-in speakers, a very old set of good Sennheiser headphones, and Bose QC45 headphones (which, if they ever break, I would buy again right away, except I would of course check for newer models first). Sounds fine and well all the way! - Only on my smartphone, the crappiest speaker of all and surely not the standard by which to calibrate a luxury video like this, the music was interfering with speech too much.
@@OwnerOfTheCosmos Generally the target background music level targeted on videos like this (that I've noticed) is just loud enough to be heard in-between words / sentences, but not loud enough that you can hear it with speech unless you're focusing on it
Here's a repost where the speech is *very slightly* (Really. Don't expect much.) more prominent versus the music, especially (but not only) during the TV part: ruclips.net/video/i7h7righKCc/видео.html
Hmmm. Just found the same footage from the end of your video on RUclips, where stated that its working title is Kitten Space Agency and that some of original KSP developers are working on it, including HarvestR whom I remember by Orbiter-Forum long before even KSP.
ruclips.net/video/PFZGFBjE3v8/видео.html - Yep, the end of the video 34:03 pointed at the RocketWerkz channel pretty heavily for that reason. I didn't expect them to be so open about this so quickly, and I wonder if it's too hasty given the very early stage of the project and the MASSIVE expectations on the Internet around this topic. During the days I worked on this video, things changed quite a lot. Before, the KSA Discord was kinda secret, the invitation posted by the devs was time limited, so I assumed this thing was close to the chest. And then, a few days ago, they published this video. My BASELESS guess is: Maybe they want to push for an Early Access kinda situation that brings in cash. Then again ... the bulk of the money a game makes is on initial launch, the RocketWerkz devs said so on multiple occasions. ... Who knows.
@@OwnerOfTheCosmos Besides, we're talking about KSP devs team who abandoned already live and running KSP2 project, so KSA may be not as early stage as one might think. I'm not implying it's literally the KSP2 clone, but I expect them to bring some parts of code with them, at the very least their expertise in creation of such games.
Half way through, many laughs, great video! Lol, the gd cartridges in the advanced tablet... Never been fond of steams model... 👀 what are those last images from? Surely not stationeers? 😮
Oh, right click was intuitive for me. But, it can turn the device on/off also. It's truly frustrating. Tab instead of alt is great because it locks. And the stationpedia needs more verbose information. More videos and pictures to describe things in there would be huge!!!
Like air-conditioning for instance. I see so many doing it just completely wrong. Mostly because that's how other videos show. And maybe they did work that way at one point. But, you have an in, out, and waste. In to out with temperature changed. But, the waste is the "cooling system" where you dump the heat to dissipate elsewhere. It remains separate from the gases passing through! Best with nitrogen and circulation.
Rovers and shuttles are seriously needed. And I've heard there are supposed to be random abandoned bases or rovers in game. But, I have never seen any evidence of this.
The last images are from the new RocketWerkz game project I mentioned at 13:49 - at some point during the making of this video, 2 days ago, Rocket posted that space flight / lunar surface video in that secret Discord.
@@NoHypocrisy42 I don't get it. Right click item teleport only happens while you're in mouse pointer mode, toggling devices only works outside that mode. It's reliably separated. As for Alt vs Tab: Whether one of these locks is up to the programmer, and both usually don't lock. (I assume you mean a toggle effect like with Caps Lock.) - Stationpedia will surely get its overhaul eventually, but that only makes sense once the game has matured in all directions, so that human-written information can't be a developer's waste of time due to changes a month later. Most information in it so far is straight from the simulation data, so it's always accurate. - Videos in Stationpedia? Nice idea! ... Also something for later, when it's most efficient. As much as we love to play Stationeers and as much as the devs surely want people to play it: It's an Early Access title. We get an extra-stable build off of a developer's machine and play. It's not a sold game. Though it's not an EA title like others, either - it's something in between. If the monetary situation were better, we could expect more forthcoming documentation and such, but that's sadly not the case. I think, considering the circumstances, we're very fine.
I can't usually afford to get the games I want to support without sales. I understand why they need full price. But I'm sure they realize people can not afford to pay full price for every promising game they want to support. Getting half the sale price is still better than getting nothing due to customer budget restrictions.
Also, since game sales aren't exactly a new phenomenon, often regular sales are planned from the get-go with the initial price. Still, the price pressure IS incredibly high.
I 100% agree that the devs really should take some time to fix/adjust the game interface (Ie mode hot keys) as well as some (imo) common sense additions like a setting to permanently change/set your save folder. Every update I have to change it in my settings file. For consoles with a gas display it should show all the info a tablet does. If it requires more console kits to make bigger and easier to read, like 4 to make a 2x2, I’m ok with that! I really do appreciate the devs adding in new stuff/toys to play with, however the interface needs some TLC/QOL. The game is hard enough, why burden players more with a cumbersome interface?
So far it's not (Infinite planets.), but yes it will be. But when will you ever run into those? The maps would probably use mountains and such to give natural boundaries.
1800 ingame hours here. You never get back to your station unless you actually go back there. It's not a looping world, and it also has no hard boundaries.
It's cool RW are releasing new features this often, but this is what stops me from actually playing the game. I'm just waiting for them to stop at some moment so I can start building another huge complex base without the fear of yet another update that will change everything. This and the upcoming new terrain which will doubtlessly break any compatibility as well. So, I'm in waiting mode. P.S. As for music volume, I have no problems with it personally. I'm using quite cheap tabletop speakers, everything sounds great with them. I tried headphones and it is still OK until you set sound volume at max, curiously. In headphones at max sound it's somewhat harder to hear voice over music, but it is still quite recognizeable. P.P.S. Thanks for the great video, as always!
True with the features, particularly terrain. Personally, and apart from other things that keep me busy, my main reason to not start a Stationeers run is the lack of different worlds and the "sameness" of the playthroughs that has emerged for me, I mean, it's a *real* effort to go a different route, and once a base has been established, the only thing I have yet to really deal with is phase change temperature control, Stirling engine, and ... rockets. But I don't feel like I wanna go there. I'm missing the initial drive. I mean, I have that initial drive still when I start a new run, but that drive isn't in the later game, and since I know that (with over 1800 hours played), I don't feel a strong enough pull at the moment to fight myself through the beginning, since what comes after is said plateau. This will change - but until it does ...
@@OwnerOfTheCosmos having no goal for endgame is disappointing. I know they are still building the game but i have no idea about the WHY i am doing this.
