How long did it take you to learn to read drum notation so fluently?

Hard to say! I started in middle school as a percussionist so reading was always a part of my music making. I already had the basics down when I started on drums, and I was always reading music during my lessons. I was very comfortable reading down any kind of chart by my second or third year of high school.
