I believe it's that they make the inner part of the mag body thinner to make it single stack so you can very carefully Dremel it or cut it but the spring and floor plate is the same. I'm 90 percent sure.
@@Montana10mmAuto hmm I just picked up my new G30 sf and the mags show a max of 10. I swapped out the mag plate today as well for an larger one and it looked like a normal spring. It went all the way Down and I seen nothing stopping anything.
save as many of the blocked ones and take the rivets out and make them the way they should be im thinking about doing that myself the more mags the better
@@GCccccc between like 18 and 30 depending on the model. But people in ban states will pay 30 for those riveted ones over the bullshit 10 rounders that are 30 anyways.
Also you can use a big flat head screw driver and dissasemble the mag and look inside its a nub of metal and you smack it until it pops off

So i was to do this with my 33rd Mag but its riveted to 10rds, i would just need the 33rd spring? Right?
Possibly but some have them already
If it has a rivet most likely it's had a regular spring.
It has a standard spring
It would have the hi-cap spring already.

Now they make special " California " magazines. 10 rounds max no matter what.

AKA The Canadian version.
bravo.thenks
thanks! do you have any alt idea other than a power drill. for bigger mags sincr i do not wamt to mar my mags
I use a Dremel with a small grinding stone. Hi speed, light pressure until the head of the rivet is super-thin, then just gently pry it apart.
Glad I don’t have to do that
Well you migh
Maybe filming just a little better next time
Probably would've been better off selling the ones you had with the rivet, and buying new ones. But good video nonetheless.

@@gcart5619 I'm only saying this because you can get more money for the pinned mags in a ban state than it costs to buy a new unpinned mag
