That's really interesting! I was just looking at a hat I've already finished and can clearly see the color change from not doing this technique. I'll have to give it a try today! Thanks for the video!!
Thank you! This is my beanie pattern... you can find it here: www.etsy.com/listing/1075153309/ultimate-knitting-machine-cheat-sheet?click_key=fe1d0032ee38182b274c62076170a32c6c5eb5b4%3A1075153309&click_sum=aa585355&ref=shop_home_active_6&pro=1&sts=1
Such a great explanation of this technique! I am a perfectionist and this technique has saved my sanity when it comes to these colors changes! ♥️ Also... What yarn and colors did you use for that hat? It's gorgeous! 😊
Hi Mary! HELLLPPPP, I am very knew to making anything but a hat on Addi, so I found a blanket pattern to ease myself into making one of your beautiful gingham blankets. This uses just tubes gathered with pompoms, I haven't quiet got comfortable using waste yarn. Anyway, after removing from my machine and about a 1/4 way down I saw I had a dropped stitch. I can't find anywhere here on youtube on how to fix one in the middle only on the end. I did grab with my crochet hook all the dropped stitches but now I don't know what to do with the last loop. It appears to be ok on the color where the drop was from, not sure if that makes sense. Oh I hope you can help. Thank you sooooo much in advance. Diane
Hi Diane! You should be able to able restring those dropped stitches all the way to the end. From there, move one of your tails over to this area and secure it to the edge. Or use a piece of matching yarn and secure it to the edge. Then hide all your tails.
@@CalumetKnits Hi, thank you for the reply. I actually had to keep moving and so I secured the dropped stitches with a needle and thread 😂. It’s just for me so hopefully it will hold and if or when it happens again, I can follow the steps if needed. Thank you again for replying. Have a wonderful evening.

@@CalumetKnits Mary, 👏🏻👏🏻🤩💯🏆🥇👍🏻👍🏻🎉🌺💐Another aspect of your awesome tutorial videos:: the auto-translate can produce a SUPERIOR quality translation because YOU take care to speak English so well during your videos (your pronunciation and enunciation and correct grammar and appropriate phrasing and timing, etc). The Spanish translation of this video is by far the very best I have EVER seen of any video by anybody!!! And I’ve seen a LOT of them, as a linguist and technologist with decades of experience!
I knew there had to be a way to prevent jogging on the sentro! It looks so clean, thanks so much for the tutorial! 🥰

HOLY MOLY, how confusing,I could not follow what actually doing there, so many camera angle changes, what happened?
I'm sorry it was confusing for you. Just trying to show how this technique looks through the process.
