It's not weird. It's Delta Connection, a Delta's subsidiary used to increase frequency of Delta's flights, and it has in its fleet CRJ and Embraer which fly even "long" trips.
Not just special flights, they've been on the ATL-OKC route for a while. My kids love watching the TVs on them as opposed to the lound MD-88 they usually ride LOL
In January, they're replacing most to all of the flights to the cs100/a220 from LaGuardia, then a few months later they're gonna do the same with the jfk route

You do a fantastic job and I follow Sam Chui and a few other "older" trip report guys, your work is just as great and often more creative and relaxing to watch. Kudos to you for doing such a good job at this. The city scenes and the plane taxiings, landings and take-offs at the beginnings and endings of your videos, and the music you edit-in for the city scenes and while in flight, well, that's just very inspired editing and production work.
Delta used to have big hub in DFW. I find the baggage bin inside the plane interesting.... different from the rest. love the video showing NYC skyline! Awesome especially on beautiful day! nice video!

I have to fly on one of these in 3 weeks from Brownsville, TX to DFW as a connecting flight from DFW to CA. I’ve never been on a plane this small and it’s freaking me out. I have a terrible fear of flying. I just want to get to DFW and back home to CA safe!!!
I spotted Caribbean Airlines in the vid, most likely headed my way. Ever spotted a Fly Jamaica plane at JFK? Love the CRJs just dont like the window spacing on the plane. Nice flight tho and awesome footage as always! Delta Airlines suppose to start JFK flights to my nearest airport KIN starting December. Hope it will the 737 used on the route.

Hard to believe the DL uses a CRJ-900 on a route that connects the biggest MSA, New York, with the fifth biggest MSA Dallas. The 717 and 737 and CRJ all have similar sized premium cabins but the total seating is 76 on the CRJ, 110 on the 717 and 124 on the 737-700. Seems like they are losing sales opportunities.

trust me when i say they've done the economics and this is what is probably most feasible for them .... jetblue, united, alaska, delta and of course american fly to dfw

Possibly be BWA521 heading back to POS based on time nevertheless its great to see our airline being part of the video

delta has 2 flights a day on this route. delta a319 and endeavor crj900
the crj is cheaper to operate than a 717 and the 319 covers the other departure
