This was when I was just getting into RC soaring, can't believe it is 18 years ago now. I hung up my gliders and was looking to get back into it but it appears a little bit unstable with the FAA right now and the 400 foot rule. I have no idea how high I used to go but undoubtedly it was higher than 400 feet and surely well outside of my flying field! (non AMA too!)
awesome video! I just retired and just started to get into flying rc and fell in love with the gliders. on a fixed income I can only afford the foamies but having a blast non the less. I have a conscendo and a Phoenix V2 glider. I love hunting for thermals its very relaxing for me I lust over the big carbon fiber powered gliders!
Seeing the early days of FPV was very interesting. I fly FPV soaring. I have GPS and Vario telemetry via an Frsky R9 setup. And video with a pan servo equipped camera via a 5.8ghz Vtx/Rx.
I had 1 and 2 on VHS, then got them all again on DVD, I love this series. Thank you!
