Huge thanks for making my struggle into a breeze. ❤
I'm so happy to hear these Practice With Me videos have been helpful for you! 🙌 Thanks for watching and learning guitar with me! 🤗💕
Really great tip! Instantly improved my speed and comfortability with this switch.
That's awesome! 🎉 I'm so glad these tips helped and thanks for watching! 🤗
You are awesome! I started trying to play a year ago and my natural inclination was opposite of building from the bottom up. Using the root first approach makes so much better sense. I originally purchased another popular online guitar course and he never mentioned that (not knocking him, because I still learned a lot... just sayin...) I am not yet perfect with changing my approach, but already I can see it makes for a more fluid transition. I am excited to master this technique! Thank you!
That's so great that building from the root up is making for a smoother transition for you! 🙌 If you practice these chord transitions back and forth enough, any way you build the chord will start to feel more natural and you'll get faster at it over time, so wishing you the best on this! 💪 Thanks so much for watching! 💕
This was so helpful! Thank you!
very helpful. thank u
Great teacher 💯💯💯💯
You are seriously such an amazing teacher with awesome advice!!!
Aww thanks so much!! 🥰 I'm really glad you find my videos helpful! 🙌
Just starting this lesson and try as I may, I can't take my eyes off that massive rock! I'm going to have to look for some kind of filter.😎
Omg. I actually already can do this🎉😊 ty Ellen
That's so great!! 💪 Thanks for watching anyway! 🤗
Ahhh thanks for this!! I struggle with this switch so much.
It's definitely one of the harder transitions to get down as a beginner! 💪
Thank you 👍👍👍
Thank you. I cannot try this now, but I am so happy you did a video on this because it is challenging for me. It makes sense, so I am very hopefully that this will work.
I hope it works for you as well! 🤗 But just remember that consistency is key so the more you practice, the easier it'll feel and the faster you'll be able to play because that muscle memory will kick in. 💪 Best of luck! 🎸🎶
@@for3v3rfaithful Thank you. It is easier to go from C to G now, but both are easier already. Thank you so much. This has been sticking me for ages! I will continue to practice until I get it smoother though.
G to C is a struggle for me. I have tried something like the focus finger plan and it really helps. Also seem to do better if I don't watch my fretting hand.
That's great! 🙌 Changing chords without looking at your fretting hand is the ultimate goal and proves your fingers have the muscle memory to make the switch on their own, which is what makes for a more fluent guitar player! 🎉
Thanks so muhc! I have been struggleing with G C for so long
It's a tough transition! But with daily practice I know you'll be nailing it soon! 💪 Thanks for watching! 💕
I was about to search the meaning of dexterity 😢, thanku 😂❤
Could you please make a guitar tutorial for Christmas tree by v?
Can you please show something like guitar freestyle 😅
Thank you so much for all of your videos, they are really helpful. One question I have is why is this G chord different than the one you teach in your Beginners Playlist?
Great question! Both are ways to play a G chord, but the one in this video is the more "common" way of playing it. 👍 The 4-finger G in my beginner series was to help people who are just starting gain confidence and transition faster and easier. 🙌
i really do not want to learn yet another chord style ... im already saturated on chords ... but thanks for the suggestion
🥳 frist again
thank you fantasticccccccc
So glad these tips were helpful for you! 🤗
👋
When you strum it’s from the bottom down isn’t it?
Low to high.
Yes, depends on what people mean when they say "bottom" or "low" 🙈 I've noticed after many years of explaining that when I say "bottom string" (and I mean the bass/lowest note string) a lot of people interpret that as the high e string because when you're in playing position, it's technically oriented on the bottom and it caused quite a bit of confusion. 😂 But yes, when you strum down - it's low to high. 🤗
Thanks for the explanation, ya I’m new and I’m trying to train my brain the correct way so I don’t develop bad habits or have to relearn something . I really appreciate all your videos/ website.
Why aren’t you teaching people to move their middle finger to the A string second fret and their third finger to the low E third fret it’s even easier once you learn it
I think what's easiest for any beginner guitarist will be a personal thing, so this was just my suggestion. 🤗 I show how to play G the way you're describing later in the video in the "alternate fingerings" section and I totally agree - it's definitely an easier transition! 🙌
