I replayed this video with my eyes shut. Believe me, I would never be able to explain that this was an ELEMENTARY school musical unit I was listening to! What difference between the Japanese culture and ours. Awesome!
Thomas Lapsley 1 second ago Sadako's Hiroshima friends from all over the world approve this song and are proud of Hiroshima and the origami crane club for promoting world peace for all the children of the world.
There is no difference in talent in each country . People are all over the world the same . But there is a BIG difference in culture and in the music department Japan kicks our asses . Nothing to be ashamed of . just enjoy their dedication and music . That is what i do .
If you start by teaching a child the principles of discipline, dedication, and determination, they start life with the three main tools that will benefit them throughout their lives. The wonderful people of Japan have known and proven this throughout their glorious history and this video is a sample of it on display. A "Great Job" by these wonderful children. God bless the children and God bless the nation of Japan. And just for the record, I am an American who speaks and respects "truth."
@@stummkind I guess cause they've all likely been laying at a high level since they were kids. I've seen many a western world adult band with less discipline and worse sound quality than this. I figured, maybe some of the highscool kids just picked up an instrument when they got to the school cause the bad was popular..................unlikely, the choreography is probably a bigger challenge for them than the music by the time they get there.
Music is part of their academic curriculum, you have to pass it to pass. From pre school to high school. Every Japanese know how to read notes even the blind!!
There are few elementary schools which have music band like this. So, most of students who want to play the instruments start when they are junior high school students or high school students.
I actually cried for the first time in 10 years..! I absolutely loved this song with all my heart. It was truely heart-warming that if I was at war and these kids played a song for me before I died my deepest regret would be that I could never listen to them again! Ii applaud your excelent form and professionality. Great job.
Thank you Japan. Thank you for the music for giving it to me. There's a song there somewhere. You teach the children so young that they become brilliant musicians. Music will never die. Thank you again 👍👏👏
If I hadn't have seen this with my own eyes, I'd never have believed that such a high standard of discipline and musicianship, came from little ones of such a young age. I am truly amazed! I hope those young ones go on in their love for brass band music. And I wish them all, well for the future. You are a credit to your family, to your school and to your country.
It is obvious that this happens because of many factors coming together. Excellent instructors, supportive parents, a school system that supports and encourages it's students , the cultural dedication these young people have in their lives-not just for the music but for learning in general. There's a lesson to be learned here America- it's not just sports that nedd to be supported in our schools. Show this video to our youn students as an example of what can be accomplished if all the factors are put in place. Bravo to this fine band.
Here's how they look when they get to High School. ruclips.net/video/N5jhbRF2oXI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/n0-0WQcVjvs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/7i715vcxtkA/видео.html
I am absolutely blown away, these kids are wonderful!! Given that this video is over 10 years old I hope that many of these gifted youngsters have gone on to a fruitful career in music - they certainly deserve it.
Dang I started in band when I was 11 and these kids are probably like 8 and are already so much better than me and I’ve already been playing for 7 years.
Some of those kids will grow-up to be kindergarten teachers... And start to teach their pupils to do some -disturbing- wonderful things. ruclips.net/video/UTumpG4z6z8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Sua7u0dl6xU/видео.html
This seems like a marching band, they march and do visual performances and they’re so good. I can’t believe that this is an elementary school. In America, elementary school bands are nowhere near the quality of this band.
Excellently performed, The quality of the musicianship of these young people is stunning. My congratulations to the student, the parents, and the teachers, for these young people to be playing at such an accomplished level at their age is simply amazing. Thank you very much for sharing.
It's just so amazing that these kids that are in elementary and memorize this stuff and play the notes clear and on time! It just amazes me, like I mean I'm in band but haven't even got good until 7th and 8th grade and I started in 6th grade. And to be a pro like that, JEEZ! Like for me high school band freshman year your now learning to play your instrument and go to different positions at the same time! I'm just suprised!
Then in my band we are figuring out how to play a Concert Bb major scale, this is our "advanced symphonic band" in middle school with a new band teacher.... The new teacher takes like 30 minutes explaining what we are doing...
So beautiful, so haunting ...uplifts my soul! Thank you very much for your composition. I will ask my grandson who just joined the Marines now beginning his study at Naval School of Music to play this for me. I like it so much.
OH MY GOSH!!!! They are AMAZING!!! The're better than my school's band and we're the Middle School symphonic band! and they're elementary! the trumpet players could kick my butt in a playing comp! their tone quality is AMAZING!!!!!
Yes, actually. Grades 4, 5 and 6. There are many such bands in Japan, and younger schools (primary, kindergarten) will have small instrument bands such as percussion, melodicas, recorders, etc., whatever configuration motivated teachers and students wish to create. It is all voluntary and non-curricular.
Absolutely wonderful, it the level at which they perform, the quality of which is that of many much older musicians and bands around the world. A truly most excellent performance.
I'm going to cry. I've been playing trombone since I was ten and can't believe our schools in California have eliminated music programs altogether....what our kids are missing out on......this is beautiful!
So I was rehearsing my alma mater high school band who didn't even know their scales (wind ensemble). That was sad. At the start of this video, this was the greatest sounding band I've heard all day. I'm going to Japan.
Same here in UK this band are showing us what we all wished our kids were doing. Not what they are doing here. Credit to school discipline and the kids for devotion. They are brilliant musicians and performers. Well done👌🥇
That is...I just...there's no words. That was by far the most amazing thing I've seen all day. Or week. Or year. Or forever... But seriously, man! 2 of my favorite things, Japan and marching band!! And they're so young!!!! You try to get the elementary kids in my town to do this...good luck. XD ~:~
Very professional, great music, exceptional timing and movement ~ I am so happy I arrived here, strangely enough after watching an instructional video on attaching midi leads to instruments!!

My word! That soprano sax is almost as tall as the player!
They worked hard to achieve that quality at that age. My compliments!

uhmm,,,,,,NOT all of their history was "glorious"...............
They are purging their inglorious past.Tachibana leads the way.
Nobody’s history is all glorious.
Simply great! What kind of a jerk could give those kids a thumbs down?? Really?? They were awesome and I guess thumbs down folks are jealous
These kids are amazing! If I showed this to our 7th grade band, their jaws would be to the ground.
Now i understand why kyoto tachibana and other japanese band was so good
why though?

Beautiful
Marvelous performances
Without knowing, from the sound, you would that to be a college band!🎸🎹🎷🎺
Some college bands don’t sound this good 🤣
