Lots of Americans would agree with their reaction to weird cupcake flavors. 🍕
I agree. Give me chocolate or Vanilla and im good.
Debbie M what about death by chocolate
maybe "American" = "Weird" ?
Why are these "American"? I've never heard of these o.O
Cari that's what I was thinking. A lot of the things they say are American, I've never seen or heard of.
"You son of a bitch. You led us on. You made us feel like we were safe" ahahahah
Every Sunday night on HBO.
+Jess Lauren Last Sunday on HBO. :'(
HOLD THE DOOR
HODOR
oh gosh the phandom is LITERALLY everywhere
"You made us feel like we were safe..."
I officially lost it right there. Well done!
First off, I'm American and I have never even thought of such cupcakes let alone heard of them! Should have been called 'crazy American cupcakes'.
0:08
Weird American Cupcakes.
Can this channel start posting exactly where they find these "American" foods from? The majority of Americans haven't heard of any of the food you post in your "American" videos.
check the description before being cynical
+sonicpokemaster1 I did and it still doesn't answer where these cupcakes come from. What part of the US do they come from? Would it kill them to put a state or bakery name in the video?
+blumountaindew in the description there's a link with to the contributors
+sonicpokemaster1 The food prepared by link directs you to an Irish catering company and the contributors link directs you to a page that lists all the people who are in this video or helped produce it. I still don't see a link that tells you where they found these cupcake flavors so, I'm still skeptical of their origin.
+blumountaindew even so you could just look them up because tomato soup cupcakes are definitely a thing
I'm American and this is my first time hearing about any of these cupcakes 😂
Maybe it's from Pinterest.
after watching it I thought that now they are just screwing with them but other people say that some bakeries make them. I still think they made them up or something
Really? I actually went to Florida last year for summer and I never saw any cupcakes in those weird flavours
They weren't warm?! HOW can people eat room temperature cupcakes!?
What's wrong with room temp.? Do you like them frozen?
I had never heard of these until now but I looked them up and most of them are made in like Boston and Seattle. So that's why they're fuckin' weird 😂
Beckyboo
Boston and Seattle are truly weird
Beckyboo Portland, OR has some weird ass cupcake flavors too.
I'm from Boston......never heard of any of these. Yuck
🤣🤣🤣
@@daisysdoodles2571 My condolences
I wouldn't really call these American cupcakes, that is pretty deceiving. That makes it sound like we eat these all the time but I have literally never seen any of these before in my life. And some of them sounded quite gross.
0:08 Weird American Cupcakes. There is nothing interesting about them eating typical cupcakes.
peepslostsheep No, not really, but that doesn't really make these American cupcakes than. I have had some weird cupcakes and I know we do a lot of weird things, but I have literally never heard of these before in my life. Where did they find these weird cupcakes? I'm honestly curious.. I'm addicted to these videos though 😂 Watched about 30 of them in 4 days.
" but that doesn't really make these American cupcakes than."
Being from America, makes them American cupcakes.
"Where did they find these weird cupcakes?"
I'm not sure where all of them are from, but I know some of them.
The BLT Cupcake is from MORE cupcakes, which is in Illinois.
The Tomato soup cupcake has been sold at The Yellow Leaf Cupcake Company in Washington state. Although, tomato soup cake is an OLD AMERICAN RECIPE.
The Chicken and Waffle one is from Robicelli’s in New York.
Republic of Cake in California has done the casserole cupcakes, though they change their menu monthly. Currently they have a Potato mushroom cupcake and an Apple Cheddar cupcake.
peepslostsheep Cool, thanks, I was legitimately curious.
I'm American and have never heard of these horrible things they called cupcakes. They were just disgusting looking and sounded like bad ideas too.
I'm an American and I've lived in every county, town, city, state and i've never seen or heard of any of these cakes so they don't exist. How dare you ....and so on and so forth
every county, town, city and state? What about the territories? jk
I did a bit of googling and the BLT cupcakes seem popular in a particular bakery, called More Cupcakes, in Chicago.
We don't call them territories, you're thinking of Canada. Probably where the rest of this hot garbage came from.
Not in Texas
***** It is at least present in that city.
Putting random shit on cupcakes doesn't make then American.
thank you! I don't know where they're coming up with these!
I've been to 48 states and I've lived in 4. I've never heard of any of these. Not that they don't exist, they're just definitely not commonplace.
+Nadia Mohamed thank you lol someone who reads it'd very refreshing.
lol tru
I heard of the chicken and waffle cupcakes, but that is it. I guess they say "weird" for a reason :)
I give the woman who used at reference from Friends 10/10 for style. Also love this: "It's not bad - it's dinner and dessert all in one".
Those can't be American. Except for the Chicken and waffles one, we would do some shit like that. In America we have things like Death by Chocolate Cake.
Currently it is a Brussels sprouts cupcake.
*+peepslostsheep* WHYYYYYY?!
Lycanthromancer ?
peepslostsheep Why would they...? How could they...?
THEY MANGLED THOSE POOR INGREDIENTS!
Lycanthromancer lol. I truly have no idea.
Tomato soup? Sounds disgusting, and I've never seen these here in the US.
How have you never seen tomato soup? I've never seen it in cupcake form, but in soup form, it's once of most popular.
+PCMasterRace I was talking about tomato soup cupcakes. What kind of person wouldn't know what tomato soup was?!
probably the kind of person that has lived in a country where tomatoes can't be got.
keyword in the title ''weird''
I've never seen any of the cupcakes in this video here in america
I live in America and I've never heard of these cupcakes until now
same here.
they most likely look up weird American cupcakes that people have eaten
I live in America and have never heard of any of these either. Trust me Irish people, American cupcakes are usually sweet and delicious. I think someone was playing a joke on you.
same
They're from bakeries (or just bakers/bloggers) in America. No one is saying that they're COMMON in America, just that they are weird cupcakes, that are found in America.
For instance, the BLT cupcake was from More Cupcakes, a cupcake place in Illinois.
Definitely not common American cupcakes, more like weird hipster cupcakes....
Nasty hipsters that have no sense of taste ...eww.
garbage-cakes.
Nobody eats these in America. They played a cruel prank on you guys.
^^ THIS ^^
We're American, we'll eat sauteed racoons assholes on a stick im sure some place sells them and some people eat them there are 400 million people here just because you haven't had something doesn't mean it's not available
I'm American i never heard of those cupcakes in my life
Lol
not guys you toggaf
I'm American and I had no idea we had our own "American" cupcakes?
Same! Stick to NORMAL cupcakes USA.
Always trying to make us look bad....YUCK lol
I'm American and I've never heard of any of these either, they look disgusting.
Yeah... Never heard of a single one of these...
Yeh, but most of you don't claim to be 'American' either and decide you're approx. seventeen different nationalities in one instead, so surely there'll be a bunch of hodgepodge cupcakes floating about America, too.
+ThenColmSaid you can't be more than one nationality, but you can be more than one ethnicity. Just letting you know.
Dear Ireland, we Americans have never eaten any of these abominations.
dear USA we are not leprechauns
Not that you would admit it in public anyway. That's no way to keep your gold safe, is it? (Just kidding. Anywho, I would be part leprechaun if it were true...which it's totally not! *glances around nervously for the leprechaun hunters*)
+sandy9064 omfg there is a leprechaun hunter coming now
you'll never get me Lucky charms
Fun Facts- can you at least tell us the regions in America that even eat this stuff? Otherwise im calling bullshit (flavored cupcakes)
btw your channel is the best. Thanks for all the funny content (and beautiful irish ladies!)
Currently it is a green bean casserole cupcake, as well as an onion and sage stuffing cupcake.
peepslostsheep well, see, this is the kind of information they should provide in the video, otherwise we always think they're pulling some of these out of their ass. thank you for telling us.
Just go to any city in America where pretentious Liberals hang out and you will find a shop selling these.
"I trusted this one!!!" The chicken and waffle was priceless!
I *love* Facts videos - but you all realize that no one in America has heard of *any* of these before, right?
You should do a Facts video on Jell-O. Americans put some weird shit in Jell-O - especially in Utah.
The BLT Cupcake is from MORE cupcakes, which is in Illinois. The Tomato soup cupcake is actually an old recipe (great depression era), but has been sold at The Yellow Leaf Cupcake Company in Washington state. The Chicken and Waffle one is from Robicelli’s in New York.
Okay, okay - but you've got to admit these are *very* unusual! :-)
WildStar2002 Oh they're absolutely unusual lol. Not something you see in even 5% of bakeries.
I come here to laugh not a statistical analysis. relax
OMG that would be EPIC! especially if they used the vintage Jello salad recipes from the 1950's. There is actually a bloody mary one.
I lost it at their reaction to the chicken and waffles.
Im fucking wheezing lmaoooo
Their faces were HILARIOUS
The initial excitement followed by the crushing disappointment was so fucking funny
The utter look of betrayal on their faces cracked me up
Wtf did I just watch. These are not from the America I know
Have you lived in every single city, town, and village in America?
Yes
Don't be obtuse... I guarantee you 99% of all Americans have no idea what the hell this crap is... it's like they picked one strange AF cupcake shop that no one has ever heard of over here.
It's almost as if they put the word weird in the title of the video to let people know it wasn't a commonly eaten thing.
@andrewthezeppo Weird isnt in the title, its in the videos opening and "typical american flavors" is in the description. How do you respond to something 1yr later and still fail.
I love Dermot's "Oh you can PISS RIGHT OFF!"
i think they need to hire Americans from different parts of America to correctly do these. get you a good southern cook, someone from both East and West coast, some mid Westerners, and people from the New England states
you left out Alaska, Hawaii and Porto Rico.
I left them out because they never seem to showcase the cultures that are not directly connected, personally I think they should too. People in other countries see America as either California or the south in general
If we include Porto Rico it would cause major offense. *Puerto* Rico has been a territory for much longer.
I am American and it offends me that I personally have never seen these things in my 9.857 million km² country
+S'chn T'gai Spock so I guess you're talking about...Lucky Charms?
Try Google...
I'm not offended, but I'd like to see someone get some positive feelings out of my country and culture for once.
themelonsoup I don't think the video generated bad feelings...just curiosity. There are 10000 more bizarre foods than these muffins
I feel you,
I'm watching this thinking put any Americans at that table and we'd be having the same reactions.
"Typical American flavors & toppings" my left testicle!
However Dermot redeemed the video with the question "Do you know what 'bad' means?"
"Cheese good. Cupcake GOOD. ICING GOOD:"
That part had me rolling! 😂😂😂
That's JOEEEYYY!!!!
Irish I could be this early to every video 🍀😂
really?
the pun is strong in this once
"Donald Trumps penis!" 😂😂😂🍆🍆🍆
I see you Barbara. Leave.
DEAD 😂
I love how they just get more and more DONE with each one. LOL
I want to see the video reaction of these people visiting America after all these weird taste tests and realizing you can't find any of these items in a normal store/restaurant lol
*Irish people critique abstract art.*
that'd actually be pretty good :D
Sean M are you suggesting their next video, or fixing the title of this video?
I really gotta call BS on this one. I'm American, and I've never even heard of any of these as an Idea for a cupcake, and I really can't imagine that anyone I know would enjoy these.
I mean they're called "weird American cupcakes" so it's not like they're normal or common
The BLT Cupcake is from MORE cupcakes, which is in Illinois. The Tomato soup cupcake is actually an old recipe (depression era), but has been sold at The Yellow Leaf Cupcake Company in Washington state. The Chicken and Waffle one is from Robicelli’s in New York.
their reactions to the chicken and waffle pancakes was the single most amazing thing ive seen all week.
Meanwhile in Canada: the maple bacon cupcake with maple cream frosting. You're welcome.
I want!! DX
That...actually sounds good.
Lycanthromancer It's bloody amazing! The sweet and salt combo with a hint of savoury just kills it in your mouth. It is spectacular!
redraven24 I could probably only eat one, though, and then I'd probably have a migraine for the next week.
Lycanthromancer Yeah, they're not for mass consumption, that's for sure. But they're worth a week of sugar high :)
I can see the Americans have already started to comment that they've once again never heard of the 'American foods'. You're weird, America. Deal with it, okay?
Well, we Yanks ought to know if we've heard of these. No, we have not. How do we know these aren't really Irish cupcakes ? C'mon, deal with it.
+Charles Wilson Peale well said
Looks like some Yanks can't detect sarcasm.
I try to avoid the weirdness, like these cupcakes
Lol its true though! Never ever seen or heard of these cup cakes! Think Buzzfeed is messing with the Irish people lol
Yeah these are DEFINITELY not American, lmao. Because all of these sounded heinous.
They're from bakeries (or just bakers/bloggers) in America. No one is saying that they're COMMON in America, just that they are weird cupcakes, that are found in America.
For instance, the BLT cupcake was from More Cupcakes, a cupcake place in Illinois.
So how many times do you plan to post this?
John Baker Round about as many times as I please.
peepslostsheep Well, carry on then, Captain Pedantic.
Something is DEFINITELY not American because it sounds heinous. Now there is good example of flawed logic. :-D
As an american...what?
Where the fuck did u get these cupcakes from? I have never in my life heard of these or tasted any of these disgusting looking cupcakes. I AM AN AMERICAN
I've lived in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, Maine and currently in Texas. I have never seen nor heard anyone make or eat these aberrations. Without actually googling them I can only assume a very TINY portion of the population would even consider making/eating them only as an art form and not meant to actually be eaten.
The tomato soup recipe actually is an old one that was popular for a while. It goes back to the Great depression, when good ingredients were difficult to come by.
Well now, that is why they are preceded by the adjective "weird", I reckon.
as an American,i have ner heard of or seen any of these ANYWHERE lol
You havent visited many states because it places like Idaho and Colorado these are staples. Well more like hidden gems. Really hidden lol. But all American made.
+Krispy Kreme Ceja but to many Americans the only places we care about is Cali, NY, and Florida
Oh Hol Lmao. XD. That was amazing.
Santana Morales True, but sad.
I'm calling Shenanigans!!!!
these videos are seriously my favorite things ever!!!
Good lord, I hate when people go that's not American, we've never had that. First of all, it's called WEIRD, meaning the majority of us are probably never gonna see or eat those. Second of all, they never once stated COMMON American cupcakes. The whole point of this video is that they found random places in America which serve weird cupcakes no one has ever heard of.
Im american and i have never even seen half of these cupcakes 😂 but im down to try a few 👍😁
Actually ive never heard of any of these cupcakes
"Why are you doing this to us?" 😂😂
Thanks...was having a bad day but after watching your videos...everything turned into happiness
Where in America? Man the weirdest cupcake I ever had was root beer.
I've never had any of these cupcakes and I'm American
Alfred F. Jones, eat your cupcakes!
No seriously
That is some nasty stuff. I had never heard of any of those before. Velveeta fudge on the other hand I have seen and its a bad idea.
1:07 - 1:11 Just realized that was a Friends reference! When Joey was eating Rachael's Thanksgiving dessert! :D
Omgs!!! 😁 this is the best one yet!! Commentary had me in stitches!! 😁 🙈
I'm glad I come from the part of America where we have normal cupcakes
Tomato soup cake and velveeta fudge are literally parts of my childhood growing up in Texas. haha!
Black bean brownies are fantastic as well, if you're talking about things that sound weird, but taste amazing.
Rest his soul. Tomato soup cake was my father's favorite. Very old recipe. It's like a spice cake if made correctly. Frosting is a cream crease or butter cream in variety.
This was hilarious! Probably my favorite video.
was that a friends reference? :)
I totally caught that too hahahaha
+Alyssa W When?
1:08
"cheese good, cupcake good, icing good"
....and kind of also the beef casserole cupcake
The one with the shitty cupcakes?
where did they get these? lolol Never heard of these anywhere. Must be a City thing.
I'm pretty sure they just put food in cupcakes, then called them "american cupcakes".
Not a city thing. Not even in the biggest city in the country.
I think they just took popular American foods and made them into cupcakes
Not _my_ city.
Ree Tom You really think, if they wanted to make fun of the US, that they had to reach to find some workable material?
The chicken and waffle one looks so good! I'd love to make these one day!
I love your videos keep up the good work facts! could you make a couple more about drinking
Loved the video, weird American Cupcakes indeed. Most sounded like something that bakers would be forced to concoct on Cupcake Wars. They have to make cupcakes out of savory ingredients during a competition. The worst I ever saw was broccoli cupcake with a spray can cheddar frosting. :0(
*cries at the thought of that*
yup never heard of these ever
Best one so far by far thanks.
The fuck are up with these cupcake choices? I've never had any of these flavours and I'm American.
They're WEIRD cupcakes. Of course their not regularly available choices.
It's a misleading title.
Teri Greene How? It's a video, about cupcakes, in America.
You're American? I've never seen an American spell "flavors" with a u like you have in this comment.
+Carlos Manriquez Yes. I've had my professors say that I spell incorrectly, and then have people I chat with from the UK say I spell incorrectly if I spell the American way. Personally, I write the European way. I like it.
"Son-of-a-bitch, you led us on". LoL
Is this how other countries feel when BuzzFeed makes, " Americans Try ________ Food", because I've never seen any of these as an American.
Probably, unless you live in the part of the country that actually eat these things in which case it's a normal experience. Most "try" shows look for things that are out of the ordinary for many people because the impact and reactions will be funnier. Cupcakes with weird flavors is a very American thing, just specific to certain parts of America. Since America is so large and diverse it's not a surprise that many are unaware of them.
Not once have I seen any of these God bless ya for even trying them
Nicole! "I trusted that cupcake so much" lol now that's funny!
As an american that searches out the weirdest things to eat everywhere I visit, every one of these makes me say "WTF?"
That chicken and waffle cupcake looks delicious.
I want to know where I can get those!
+Virginia Taylor if you live near a Smallcakes, they might. The one down the street from me currently has chicken and waffle cupcakes on their menu.
SabrinaJL4 Thank you!
Ahhhhhhh John and Davey! My two faves together! Please pair them up more often :)
I love watching cake shows but they have started to go overboard with these crazy flavors lol
As an American, I'm scared of most of these cupcakes.
As an American, I am embarrassed by these cupcakes and would never eat any of them.
I love John so frickin much. Especially when he does any type of different accent
1:48 their reaction is priceless😂😂😂😂😂
NEVER heard of any of these..and I have lived all over the US.
I have never EVER SEEN or Tryed any of those cupcakes and i have lived in the US my whole life lol
John: "Yo, Ma! Get more a those chicken waffle cupcakes up in yere!" LOL!
The guy in the green flannel is hilarious, he's my favorite in all these taste test videos
Where in the world did they come up with these cupcakes? As an American, I have never heard of these concoctions and certainly would not want to eat them, LOL. It is as if they just wanted to pull a gag on them, by making them eat such gross cupcakes. I guess it was alot more interesting to see their reactions to these, but hope they know these do not represent actual cupcakes we eat here in America. I hope their tastebuds recover. : )
While not typical, these cupcakes are found in the USA. The tomato soup one, for instance, is an old American recipe, going back to the Great depression.
as an american, i have NEVER SEEN ANY OF THESE!! lol
"Do you...know what...bad means?"
I actually laughed out loud.
The joke about the beef casserole....I was shrieking with laughter.
These aren't American cupcakes. They're weird castaway cupcakes...
....from. America.
great and every shit idea an Irishmen comes up with is exclusively Irish. Not some random idiots.
shabut I love how you're taking this all so very seriously
They are American. My local bakery sometimes makes such weird cupcakes. I love the alcoholic ones.
I haven't heard of Any of these and I am American
well the waffle one I get...I have seen food documentaries and tours of USA...they love mixing sweet and savoury. U may not have heard of it but it makes logical sense. I heard they like mixing maple waffles with fried chicken in some places...ugh.
You should check out, for instance, Republic of cake. Their line up changes monthly. Right now they have a green bean casserole one.
Get out more.
"Do ya know what bad means?" 😂😂😂😂😂
So deceived by the chicken and waffle cupcake! I'm crying 😂😂😂
Dear Americans, you have heard of an American TV show called Cupcake wars?
www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/chicken-and-buttermilk-waffle-cupcakes-recipe.html
www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/cheeseburger-cupcakes.html
www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tomato-soup-cupcakes-cream-cheese-frosting-recipe.html
Something that was made on a TV show once does not mean it's American... Neither of those links even have any reviews because nobody in their right mind would ever make them lol. Nevertheless it's entertaining that people think these are the sort of things that American grandmothers are making on an average Sunday afternoon.
Yes, I have. Just because some random cupcake chef made a crazy cupcake to meet a challenge in a reality show doesn't mean it's a an "American" food. We don't go into shops and buy cheeseburger cupcakes. And we can't just walk into any bakery and find these forced concoctions there. Even most of the shops that make those crazy cupcakes on the show don't actually sell them. It's purely for entertainment.
Lol, just loving your retarded comments. It was on an AMERICAN tv show, the recipes were created by AMERICAN cooks/chefs.
*****
Aww poor baby, lets all get our violins out.
If you can call that crap entertainment.
You guys are making those up. I live in the US....I have never heard of or eaten any of those.....I wouldn't eat any of those. Strangest I have ever had is pistachio.
I know they said that and after I left that comment I remember that I did have chocolate cake with roasted beet juice once and I had no idea it was there, which meant it was not needed. I don't understand chicken and waffles anyway. Why do those go together? I have heard of candied bacon maple muffin but those are different from cupcakes right? English is not my first language. I get help writing these. Muffin is bread and cupcake is sweet because it's a mini cake? I don't understand chicken in cake. You would not put it in a pan cake so why put it in a mini cake? Who thought up recipes with tomato soup and bacon? Lol
Nadia Mohamed It seems like a weird combination but then so does Sprite in cake mix. I like peanut butter, mayo, pickles and onion sandwiches. I guess that's odd. Everything I eat has potatoes, salmon, beets, kasha, herring mushrooms or thick sweet milk. We lived in the US for 3 months before I was able to eat Fruit Loops LOL
Nadia Mohamed I have just been told dill pickle soup is odd to most people. Is it?
Originally Russian. Then Israel. Then USA.
No, I don't really want to be. My father got a job in a think tank (he's a nuclear physicist) and my mother teaches. I like the US but I get still confused. Sometimes it's frustrating. My parents grew up when Russia was Soviet Union. Things ferry different now. My friends there. Crazy friends lol
For some reason, John's very sincere "Mmmmm" at about 3:15 makes me laugh.
the amount of trust that they had at the sight of the waffles!!! I just lost it!!
Iv'e never heard of or seen any of these cupcakes in my whole life lmao
I'm guessing the demographic of people watching these videos is fairly young. I haven't seen tomato soup cupcakes, but tomato soup cake used to be really popular. It appeared in the late 1920s and gained popularity in the 1940s. It was a standard recipe on Campbell's tomato soup cans, similar to the the banana pudding recipe on the Nilla Wafers box or the cookie recipe on Tollhouse Chips bags.
IKR... never seen any of these before!!
I laughed so hard at the chicken and waffle cupcake XD
It really just seems like y'all just took typical American food and drinks and decided it'd be great to try in cupcake form, then call it 'Weird American Cupcakes'.
No these are from actual American bakeries in Washington, Illinois, California and New York
Irish people react to kpop
I second this idea.
it's not like irish people don't know what k-pop is hahah
alucarcinogen it would be pretty interesting to see then react to some bts and exo and other famous kpop bands
+BVB ARMY yeah I suppose. I dunno, I'm irish and I'm always fairly surprised at the "irish people react to" videos because most of the stuff they're reacting to are things that are common/well known or even just generally known about over here
Babymetal!
Their reactions to the chicken and waffle cupcakes...DAMN! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have no idea where these cupcakes come from, but I have to say.. You guys are ADORABLE!!
