Something that I thought was cool and sweet of Ben was when in this episode of "Ben 10 Omniverse" that even when the Deefus Veeblepister (whose name in of itself is hilarious) was playing Ben for Professor Hokestar's show told Ben that the name Sludge puppies were a slur, Ben was very quick to start using the proper term for the species. The fact that he has several cousins-by-marriage who are Lenopans only made this more heartwarming. Although this brings up the question as to why none of said cousins corrected him, Gwen, or Max once their species were no longer at war with the plumbers. Maybe the Tennyson's have N-Word Privileges and their Lenopan relatives never saw thought to bring it up? Still, it was nice to see Ben acting sensitive to others' feelings for once. (Though none of the Sludgepuppies seen before had any problem with being called that name which is odd when you think about it).
What I found odd was that Rook, with all his knowledge from his plumber academy days didn’t know Slugdepuppy was a slur, he looked confused when Deefus told him that. Though then again, the plumbers did create the term, probably wasn’t involved in their database.

There is retconning something to be called something else and then there's retconning something to now be a slur. You know for a fact it didn't mean that in the original considering Ben, Max and Gwen said it repeatedly but most importantly Joel the first human to fall in love with and MARRY and sludgepuppy said it and so did Lucy his Sludgepuppy Daughter and Camille his wife, at least one of them would have brought this up. Or the parents of the bride who turned out to be the villains of the episode and hated humans, there is no way they wouldn't have.

Omniverse is more mature than his OG 2005 counterpart Omniverse Ben sacrificed himself to save no watch Ben and gave us these words it's just a gadget be the hero where as uaf Ben 10 already almost gave up when he lost his Omnitrix uaf Ben 10 was not the best boyfriend as he has cheated on his girlfriend twice and there's an episode when there was that escaped prisoner he makes a joke at the end after that with that episode being one of the darkest Ben 10 episodes as that guy lost his family and everybody looks at Ben cuz it's the wrong place wrong time to make a joke Omniverse Ben didn't give up at all during the incursion War Arc in the world seemed as though that would have been the safe move he instead makes a strategy to infiltrate them and succeeds how about the malware Arc where Ben must learn from his past losses or the amalgam Kids Arc unlike his uaf counterpart he does not go out of his way to kill Kevin even though Kevin brainwashed manipulated to kill him as a child Ben still tries to save his friend and not outright kill him in fact the amalgam kids Arc might be one of the darkest arcs in Ben 10 as it with the deals of brainwashing children and kidnapping them to kill another child or how he creates a brilliant strategy to hide the Chrono Navigator by making a map and making the treasure be hidden in the first part of the map which even Gwen says is brilliant and in that episode we see the difference in the personalities from his present self and Omniverse and his past self which is major plus the reason why he acts chill most of the time is because there's barely any threats which is what we see in episode 3 of Omniverse there is barely any threats all the villains are running away from him he's probably a little bit Rusty as he hasn't really battled that many Top Dog villains it's not until malware and Khyber come into the picture that he does for comparison in the episode duped for uaf Ben he creates clones of himself just so he can see a movie instead of spending time with his girlfriend and then when his girlfriend asked if he wants to go see the movie that he's been wanting to watch he says he already watched it and he laughs at an interview that a guy that she looks up to and in his face and she calls them a terrible boyfriend and in the episode eye of the beholder Ben is reluctant to help his girlfriend out because she broke up with him even though her pet which is dangerous might be in trouble he doesn't even try to help until later even though the sky supposed to be a hero he's reluctant to help someone in need while mind controlled Omniverse Ben resisted it by reminding himself and the audience of what being a true hero is in the mind control is plaguing him by making him see his selfish desires but it doesn't work because he knows what it means to be a true hero no I'm not saying Omniverse Ben is perfect I'm just saying that is actually more mature than initially than what some people in the past thought as now Omniverse is getting praise compared to what it used to be but I recommend re-watching Omniverse again but this time in the actual order I recommend looking at the Ben 10 Wiki for this by searching up Ben 10 Omniverse on the Ben 10 Wiki and click on episodes to actually watch the show properly as Cartoon Network for some reason in the 2010s was messing up some shows that did not air in the right order Star Wars the Clone Wars was among these anywhere else besides the point the point is the Omniverse Ben is way more mature than what you gave him credit for as he has plenty of mature and great battle strategy moments Omniverse got dark when it need to just like the OG series however uaf was practically almost all the time dark both literally and storytelling and in the actual Arts style in the show because they're always at night I assure you this Omniverse Ben is way more mature than his 2005 OG counterpart as that when we committed criminal activity because he didn't get a chance to play a sumo Slammers game and is running from police and causing destruction and actively participate in these acts and previously he would use hero guilt to get what he wants with Gwen calling him out on that while in comparison Omniverse Ben while being mind-controlled resist the same type of Temptations that his OG counterpart wouldn't have resisted while transform mind you as Big chill resisting his natural Predators mind control meaning it's way more stronger than the average mind control showing he has great willpower
