Yes I was at the little shelter the first time in 88 my first trip to Indian Kitchen
Hello Shawn!
That's funny. I was here just a week after you. Although I don't remember reading or signing the logs, I don't think there were any more stickers left. :)
No stickers left? :D haha, hopefully someone was happy to get them then!
New to the area. Been on 7-8 hikes in Shawnee so far Indian Kitchen my favorite. What are y'all's favorites in the Shawnee?
Great hike there Shawn. The out cropping was really cool. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching :)
Yeah, started to look for it when my wife & I were there. Heard thunder in the distance & opted to start heading out. Trail conditions on your trip were astoundingly better than when we were there. Wife still has mud on her boots. Thanks for sharing!
Nice video. Copperhead blends right in with the trail, doesn't he? Got bit up from black flies camping this week myself. There's always some kind of pests around in the summer, kind of makes an autumn hike a pleasure once the bugs and such clear up.
That's a nice looking trail buddy, those webs go back up soon as ya knock them down don't they
Yep! I went through many more webs on the way back haha
Going good. I haven't had anything major. I had the rash and the flu semptoms. I had 28 days of antibiotics and have to go back next week for a check up. I'm feeling fine now.
Awesome Sean looks like that tire needed a little more tread on there probably why it got a puncture.. BIG thumbs up my friend Happy Friday 13th 👍👍👍👍💞
Yeah, got another flat on another tire a few days later lol
You know Sean if it isn't on Strava it didn't happen.
I been trying to turn on Strava every time I hike and bike now haha
Chiggers are really starting to get bad. Hope you sprayed down well.
Tuck Williams and TICKS! I hate them! Gave me Lyme on Memorial weekend.
How is that going for you Nathan? Any major health issues?
Hike cool, Indian Kitchen cool, snake not cool (thought copperheads stayed around the rocks... not in the middle of the trail??), horse muck and ankle breakers not cool.
Snakes are everywhere :D The horse damage can get annoying at times but that area is often heavily used by them, so it is something you to accept.
Horses create real trail issues, too bad there aren't designated trails for hiker and horses.
In reality, I don't mind sharing the trails with horseback riders - what I mind is that horses can do that to the trails but officially mountain bikers are not welcome - doesn't make a lick of sense...
