When I discovered obsidian and at the time I was still writing by hand and this was one of the first things that came to my mind, for those people who are still writing by hand it will be easy for them to use it and at some point directly use a digital notebook.

Could be very powerful, keeping my eye on this

Very nice! You may also like my “Ink” handwriting plugin if you ever find yourself writing digitally with a stylus 🙂

This is fantastic! I was wondering if there is some sort of compatibility with e-ink devices like reMarkable? Planning on buying one very soon and this looks very interesting as a potential pairing into my Obsidian workflow. Keep up the great work!

I'm unfamiliar with the OS of those devices, but if you can move a file from your reMarkable to a folder on the cloud you'll be able to do what you see in the video.

This is awesome. Thank you. What’s the plug-in in Obsidian to convert the handwritten note photograph?

I’m confused. When I tried to use the plugin on my phone it says it is not a compatible device. Then I realized that you created a neat little shortcut for iOS (and Android?) that allows me to put stuff in Obsidian and then let the FileOrganizer do all the work on my PC. Thanks for reaching out and clarifying as well. For those that didn't get it in the video, you have to create/install shortcut for iOS (Shortcuts built in app); it is not automatically an option just because you have obsidian and the plugin installed.

Hi John, thanks a lot for supporting us 🙏 There are actually some functionalities that do work on mobile. Sending you a video via email to show you what's possible.

Great idea but the shortcut fails with a "File doesn't exist" error message when I use your shortcut from the Share Sheet on my iPhone (tried with 2 different images). Does it depend on have fileorganizer2000 installed?

we recently found out that it currently only works for people who have their iOS in English. Do you have yours in another language? It should not depend on having fo2k installed if the shortcut is set up correctly

@@different-ai My iPhone is in English (it's never even been set to another language). I just installed your Shortcut "as is" and ran it.
I did just test it using only the Clipboard, got the same error message. Where it stalls is at the 3rd step: "Imported via Shortcut"
The step just before it is "Get Type of Input" which is set to (Type) App Store app. Is that the type of input it's supposed to be? Seems odd.

@@KnotsUntied did you set up a destination folder? It's not ready as is. You need to specify a folder. check our iOS shortcut video setup on our youtube channel for the full walkthrough

@@different-ai Yes, I had setup the folder upon initial setup using a folder I created in my vault.
I deleted the shortcut and reinstalled it, pointed to the folder again, and it still did not work. However...
I now know what the problem is.
The shortcut does not see the file path when you point to the folder during setup, even though it does look like the shortcut should see it.
I had to edit the shortcut (I edited it on my iPhone), and specifically point to the folder so that the shortcut can see the **path** to the folder.
So, originally, during the initial setup, the shortcut would just have "Imported via Shortcut" (which is what my folder name is) for the third step.
Now, having pointed to the folder explicitly by editing the shortcut, it looks like this:
iCloudDrive > Obsidian > MyVault > Imported via Shortcut.
With the path to the folder specified, it now works. 😅
