i'm sorry i was very fast. here is the written pattern. round 1: ch2, does not count as a st. 10 dc into mr, ss into the first dc (10 dc) round 2: ch 2, does not count as a st, increase in every st (20dc) ss into the first dc round 3: ch 2, does not count as a st, 1 dc in each st (20dc) ss into the first dc round 4: ch2, *dc in next 2, decrease* repeat for this round (15dc) ss into the first dc round 5: fold your work, sc together the both sides, ch2 and cut. leave a long tail for sewing

Is the chain 2 necessary? like will it effect the pattern if it’s not added?
Yes ! The chain two adds structure and helps the yarn to not slant or curve as you start a new row. It basically is just starting a new line for you
