I have one of these, still. This was our hotwheels track champ, the quickest of all the cars we had. It did have a tendency to bounce a lot from the jumps, though, made for someinteresting races.
Among the most faithful restorations of this casting I've seen. Well done, Jason! Funky of Scale Street Garage did a splendid one as well that through a giveaway is now in my collection here in New Jersey, U.S.A. Have fun with your toys! Thank you for the continued entertainment and education!
I don't know why but the Lamborghini Marzal is extremely hard to find...it took me almost a year to find the 1/43 version of it. You did a great job restoring this Matchbox Marzal...it looks fantastic 👌👌😁
One of my favourite models. I have a fair few variations of this including the metallic blue with clear glass. I want, at some point, to restore one with the roof section also cut away with a glass roof, silver paint & clear widow piece like the original
Super restoration Jason - this one really bought back memories of having one when I was a kid! Liked your "I'm happy with that!" at the end there I am sure Marty will too! Stay safe 👏🤩🙏
looks as new again, great work. especially with the front end polishing up... XD yatming did a casting of the same model, onlyx there they left the roof window glassed up, while closing the lower windows in the doors...
Congrats on the new studio Jason! Your restoration looks fantastic! I think it’s better than new due to the difficulty in polishing into the nooks and crannies in the base, making the details In the front and back pop. The sparkle in the paint looks great. I was thinking the exact same thing as you about the color of the glass right in the beginning of the video and had to laugh when you mentioned it. Keep up the fantastic work. Love your taste in music BTW. I play it for my wife and she laughs at me and says I’m stuck in the ‘80’s.
I was emptying a pool earlier, and I was the bottom of a matchbox get exposed from the ground due to the water.Turned out to be one of these, but in very bad condition. All wheels broken sadly. But still a cool find!
Hi Jason, great restoration as usual. Model-supplies make a replacement clear window unit for this model and I have a load of them here so I'll drop a couple in the mail for you.
Nice resto, Jason. The Dinky version of this car model is solid and excellent. You should try finding one and doing an overhaul on it. Think you'd really enjoy it. (I have one btw.)
Nice resto I've just purchased an orange marzal with thin wheels which is rare I've omitted up a few if these marzals over the years they are so common apparently steve flowers model supplies can make a clear window uniform for the marzal but it's a special order item
I think this was always a gull-wing concept. I didn’t read anything about downward sliding doors on the Marzal. The only car I can think of straight from the top of my head with sliding doors like that is the BMW Z1!
@@DieCastRestos Yes that's right, I looked it up - It was the Z1. Maybe the door lines on this diecast model suggested it was a split door thing, but a real picture with open doors clearly shows it was Gullwing doors.
If they are too short then try a slightly longer M2 screw. Perhaps if the head of the screw is too small for the post you might need a washer or a regular dome headed screw
I like short and complete videos like yours... The yellow and orange windshield brings back lots of great memories of my childhood
Second time I've heard "I'm happy with that." in the last week. I wonder who else said it?😁👍

Matchbox. Restoration. 20D. Lamborghini. Matzal. Like 👍
I have one of these sitting around . . . . someday. Very nice project as always.
Very nice work! Love the silver leaf and clear coat combination. It looks very authentic.
That paint combo turned out fantastic!
Jason looks great. The color and cleaned up chassis looks amazing. Good job 👍

Stunning restoration Jason, looking forward to seeing your studio tour 😀
It looks like a great inaugural piece for your new studio. Cheers
Great restoration Jason! It looks like new. Thanks for sharing this.
Always has been a favorite car of mine.

Cheers Tony! I’ve just seen you’ve sent a message on Patreon so I’ll reply on there 👍🏻

I will certainly check that out!

My friend had the model back in the day and we always wondered why someone would want clear see through doors.
probably that the light reflected by the original silvermetallic faux leather seats can seep out. XD
Looking good Jason. Did this have downwards sliding in doors originally? I remember seeing a video of such a car.

Wich Thread Cutter do you use? And can I use the same screws for regular wheels too? Or is there different?
I always use and M2 thread screw tap. The posts for Superfast and regular wheels are mostly the same kind of size.
I have buy now M2 screws. But they are to short and the head is to small it goes through the hole. Please help me to find the right ones.

Very buddy
I think u should have done it in white
I had that new & it's still in my collectors case, it wasn't that great for speed on my Corgi Rockets racing track!
No that’s the toreador from gta
