Beautiful car ! Spent my early childhood in the back of a 4-dr green one until it just kept throwing belts and my father almost stroking while begging my mother for the money to get a different car ! 1967 pulled into Chevrolet Dealership and drove out in a 6y , 3 speed Biscy- Implala . My father died a year later but my mother drove it over 200,000 miles !
Great car and video. If I had it, and I already have a turbo convertible, I would change the generator for an alternator. And I would change the master cylinder for a 2-cylinder one. It clearly runs great. But the front tires need a lower pressure of about 18 psi for safer handling. As far as the video- Using wipers on a dry windshield can scratch the glass. Also, I wouldn't refer to the engine as a motor. Engines create their own power, while motors have the power brought to them. Technically, an engine includes the fuel supply.
I had a ‘63 Spyder convertible back in the early 70’s. Mine was gold in color. I pulled the engine and replaced the clutch at one point. This brought back a lot of good memories. I also had a ‘62 700 sedan at the time. I can ID parts unique only to the Corvair from a mile away even now.
Also as Jetcity737 mentioned the Spyder emblem signifies it's equipped with Spyder package which is the High Performance engine which came with the hardtop version also.

In Europe Spyder means convertible, for Corvair it meant Turbo-Charged.

Put the fire extinguisher in the passenger area, if there's an engine fire, you'll get to it.
