Pagespeed Insights: Performance 73 -> 99 (desktop) 93 (mobile) GTmetrix: C -> A with Performance 78% -> 100%, Structure 81% -> 98%, LCP 2.2s -> 503ms Pingdom: C 74 -> A 95 with with load time 4.65s -> 1.6s I wasn't expecting such improvement. Great video! I got the confirmation Airlift will keep the existing features free forever but will have a pro plan in the future for new features. The dashboard is confusing with the $199 plans showing when going to the other blocks like security, uptime, backups. Theysaid they'll fix it, it's an error in the UI. Those other blocks are for WP Remote. Hope this helps clarify some confusion (I know I needed it 😅)
Its interesting how well this plugin works, and also that it seems to be mostly hosted not on our websites, like other plugins. Atleast the dash board anyway. It does seem tonwork rather well though! Just a little concerned security wise, if it leaves a way for those with bad intentions to get in. Then again, what doesn't these days, lol

Hmm, it crashed my site and provided the following message: "Something went wrong. Please retry or contact us." I did this on a fresh install with the latest version of Wordpress and Divi. I think they need more time. Also - their only pricing option is $199 a year with no documentation (ie. trial, refunds, etc). This would make it the most expensive plugin out there with minimal info and support. Honestly, seems a bit sketchy and unreliable for now - but I will do a little more testing. Thank you for this video introducing Airlift. I am intrigued (and frankly slightly sceptical ) about a free plug in that can have such an amazingly positive effect so quickly and without mucking up things on my website. I feel I should give it a try, but I need your advice first. I have the Nitropack (free) plugin on my website ( from an earlier recommendation) . I have the optimisation set to medium because anything stronger started to adversely affect the operation of my page loading etc. So I am worried that Airlift would be too "powerful". I also assume that it would be a mistake to have both Nitropack and Airlift plugins operational at the same time so that I would have to deactivate or delete Nitropack before trying it. Maybe you could do another video to compare airlift and to answer these concerns. Thanks again for being so helpful in my very amateur journey in building and running my Wordpress website.
Hi Terry! Thanks for your comment and questions. Yeah so it definitely is true that I would not advice you to run both plugins at the same time. However, if you have good results now, don't change the plugin in my opinion. You can also run it on a subdomain, a staging environment to see how that goes 😃

Tried it and works perfectly on homepage level. We went (on a testdomain with copy of commercial website) from 75 to 98 on desktop and 61 to perfect 100 on mobile. On category level however we got 70 and product level we got only 50. Any advise? Will WP Rocket be better on 2e and 3rd level?
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your experience with this plugin. Hm that's a really interesting question about 2nd and 3rd level. In my experience WP Rocket also optimizes those, but every caching plugin should do that, Airlift also. Well you could try with WP Rocket, see if that makes a difference 😃

Before: - Desktop: 99 - Mobile: 77 After: - Desktop: 100 - Mobile: 93 But! My page has a background video (full height). Which now only plays after first interaction, which isn’t great, particularly on Mobile. I’m trying to disable this to try again but it’s doing something that apparently I need to wait to finish. Airlift unfortunately does not work with Multilanguage pages performance are ok, but äöü for German pages are not supported :( and no answer from the support.
Crashed mine site too. Couldn't get score on page speed insight. Score was 90, but after reinstalling my score is 50 and can't improve. Opened ticket and nothing yet from support

I tried and it took me by surprise after activated. Was 51 for mobile and it went up to 76 but today it dropped to 61 (nothing change, purge cache), although still better than before. I am a non-techie person so wondering how this works? Fluctuate daily or it is only a one time booster?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Well it should work stable. So you optimize your website and then the score is what it is. It should not change drastically in time. However, small changes between scores can occur because of server speed or test server speed, those things can differ kf course. What theme are you using and what hosting are you on?

Hi There! Yeah that’s pretty normal when analyzing websites, Pingdom does this a lot. It’s not that it doesn’t take the background into account, it’s just not showing it in the preview. I don’t know why this happens, should make no difference in scores though 😀

Hi JonClem! Thanks for the comment. After running the plugin, give it some time to get all CSS and JS right. After an hour it should work however. If not, just delete it and try another plugin like WP Rocket (premium): ruclips.net/video/t2cQf7GLVLQ/видео.html 😎 Some plugins dont work well on some hosts with certain configurations of plugins and themes... so many variables!
@@WPressDoctor it's similar to the one you showed in this video, you have the settings inside wp-admin. The other comment is true, Seraphinite is free but it adds a banner, but I hide it with negative bottom margin in the footer. Just done a test without Seraphinite on pingdom and got D 67 grade, with it activated : A grade 95. I'll try airlift quickly now
@@WPressDoctor I just tested without caching plugin vs Seraphinite vs Airlift and found Seraphinite to be the best for my website. Here are the stats on pingdom : - No caching : Performance grade D 67, 13.27 s load time, Requests 173, Page size 5.9 MB - Seraphinite : Performance grade A 95, Load time 618 ms, Requests 24, Page size 3.3 MB -Airlift : Performance grade C 77, Load time 679 ms, Page size 2.6 MB, Requests 126. I will stick with seraphinite since it's the best with my testing. Yes there is a banner at the bottom of the screen but everyone can remove it by adding some negative margin at the bottom footer of your pages. (around -80px) Or you can pay to support the devs.
@@WPressDoctor It was too good to be true! On the first attempt, the homepage broke down and the shop pages worked very quickly as long as they were clicked once. However, an error message came from Airlift that something went wrong... When I tried a second time, after that the homepage was broken again and the contact and info pages were also broken. After that I disabled Airlift and noticed that the mega-menu of my theme (Flatsome) was truncated and I couldn't fix it even by clearing the caches. Fortunately, I made a backup before installing Airlift and when I restored it, everything was back to normal... A nice easy plugin if you could get it to work properly. I don't know if that could be because of my theme. However, it is a production site, so I don't want to play with it, the customers will run away. I wish this would develop so much that I would dare to use it. I hope for the best because this was already pretty convincing!👍

In case someone has the same problem, I reverted back to litespeed and turned off guest optimization and JS settings and it works. My performance on mobile is better but not great.@@WPressDoctor

No idea why but it did not work on my website. It kept saying unable to proceed - please contact support at every step.

What's the catch with these free plugins? Of course everyone sells your data, but there's got to be more to it than that.

After Uninstall plugin my site performance is down, Before install it shows 78% after uninstall plugin it shows 32%. Unable to increase.
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. That’s strange! You could look for caching files via FTP or the file manager of your hosting company and then remove them, might solve the problem to reverse the plugin.
I tried and it took me by surprise after activated. Was 51 for mobile and it went up to 76 but today it dropped to 61 (nothing change, purge cache), although still better than before. I am a non-techie person so wondering how this works? Fluctuate daily or it is only a one time booster?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Well it should work stable. So you optimize your website and then the score is what it is. It should not change drastically in time. However, small changes between scores can occur because of server speed or test server speed, those things can differ kf course.

Hi There! Yeah that’s pretty normal when analyzing websites, Pingdom does this a lot. It’s not that it doesn’t take the background into account, it’s just not showing it in the preview. I don’t know why this happens, should make no difference in scores though 😀
How does Airlift compare with Seraphinite Accelerator?
Hi ZeeBohm, thanks for your question. I don't know about the difference between them, I have not yet tried Seraphinite Accelerator on any website. I might just try this in the future 😊
Airlift doesn't work with borlabs cookie and i dont know how to configure airlift.

Hi JonClem! Thanks for the comment. After running the plugin, give it some time to get all CSS and JS right. After an hour it should work however. If not, just delete it and try another plugin like WP Rocket (premium): ruclips.net/video/t2cQf7GLVLQ/видео.html 😎 Some plugins dont work well on some hosts with certain configurations of plugins and themes... so many variables!
Can you compare it to Seraphinite Accelerator?
Seraphinite has a banner on the bottom of each page. Simply garbage

@@WPressDoctor it's similar to the one you showed in this video, you have the settings inside wp-admin. The other comment is true, Seraphinite is free but it adds a banner, but I hide it with negative bottom margin in the footer. Just done a test without Seraphinite on pingdom and got D 67 grade, with it activated : A grade 95. I'll try airlift quickly now
@@WPressDoctor I just tested without caching plugin vs Seraphinite vs Airlift and found Seraphinite to be the best for my website. Here are the stats on pingdom :
- No caching : Performance grade D 67, 13.27 s load time, Requests 173, Page size 5.9 MB
- Seraphinite : Performance grade A 95, Load time 618 ms, Requests 24, Page size 3.3 MB
-Airlift : Performance grade C 77, Load time 679 ms, Page size 2.6 MB, Requests 126.
I will stick with seraphinite since it's the best with my testing. Yes there is a banner at the bottom of the screen but everyone can remove it by adding some negative margin at the bottom footer of your pages. (around -80px) Or you can pay to support the devs.

@@WPressDoctor It was too good to be true! On the first attempt, the homepage broke down and the shop pages worked very quickly as long as they were clicked once. However, an error message came from Airlift that something went wrong...
When I tried a second time, after that the homepage was broken again and the contact and info pages were also broken. After that I disabled Airlift and noticed that the mega-menu of my theme (Flatsome) was truncated and I couldn't fix it even by clearing the caches. Fortunately, I made a backup before installing Airlift and when I restored it, everything was back to normal...
A nice easy plugin if you could get it to work properly. I don't know if that could be because of my theme. However, it is a production site, so I don't want to play with it, the customers will run away. I wish this would develop so much that I would dare to use it.
I hope for the best because this was already pretty convincing!👍

In case someone has the same problem, I reverted back to litespeed and turned off guest optimization and JS settings and it works. My performance on mobile is better but not great.@@WPressDoctor
