I’ve been living in Bangna almost 18 years. Bangna is fast developing area, especially after Mega Bangna was opened. This area surrounded by essential facilities and not far from the town. If you guys are looking for some places to live, The Forestias could be an interesting choice for you. This is the newly open huge residential project next to Mega Bangna, around 2 km (inbound direction). May be you can check it out. *Mega Bangna is literally pet super friendly mall 😊 Have a nice stay in Thailand 🎉😊

I live in this area and I love it. I dont like to live in center of bangkok cos it too many people and traffic jam. the infrastructures here is pretty good . Airport, shopping mall like Seacon Square, and big park like Suan Luang Rama IX is nearby. Construction material store like boothavorn and thaiwatsadu and nearby too. This place is more relax and quiet and it wont take you too far go to center of bangkok. one more thing, I find this place is quite safety cos I dont heard any crime or robbery incidents here.

We have a close friend in Thailand working for the ikea team over there, and-basically just designing furnitures and functions that Thai people would find useful and most suitable. We personally felt that Thai authenticity of natural patterns and colors in wood furniture has a lot more characters than soft pine from ikea, though - that is just my personal preference. As the world is cutting down on the use of hard woods, and this is probably why IKEA concept = particular on plastic designs objects became more in demand in Southeast Asia, especially within the last 15 years - fast sprouting up. You will start seeing more local wood furnitures when travel to smaller towns and cities. Korat or Sara-buree provinces as example is full of stones, granite, rocks and clays works. You can also spot more wood furnitures in smaller guest house, boutique home stayed and family run hotels too❤ Thai style houses architecture is also beautiful. Jim Thompson house and museum will echo this. Have you been? In Bangkok - we recommend you to check out the JJ market - may be just do furniture and home & plants sections on the weekend because the whole market is too big. We feel you might enjoy the scenery and definitely the food there too. We have never been inside ikea Thailand. This is the first time we saw it because of your content. Thank you.🙏 ❤

MEGA BANGNA is great and as a whole the BangNa area is developing more and more. In the future, there will be a monorail line that goes down Bangna Road and will connect to Suvarnabhumi airport and to BangNa station on the light green BTS line. Actually my family house is reasonably close to here (about 15 mins by car with decent traffic) and along on Srinakarin road along the yellow monorail line. This area is on the outskirts of Southeastern Bangkok near to Samut Prakarn Province but it is very easy to enter central Bangkok using the train lines. There are a lot of gated housing states around here with nice houses (but can be pretty expensive though you do get a lot more space on the outskirts but with more and more rail lines being built, land prices have and will rise). Overall, this is a great place to live, and there are several international schools (though very pricey) in the area so although this area is a little more quiet, it definitely isn't short of any necessities. There is also several hospitals nearby and everything you need really; though things may be a little more spaced out so walking is quite inconvenient especially in Thai weather. MEGA BANGNA opened in 2012 and it was a mall I frequently visited to do Ice Skating but also chill with friends (It has expanded so much since I last visited and I'm sure they will keep expanding). There are luxury brands of course but I think MEGA BANGNA is very much intended for families and suits the demographic of the area, with lots of food options, plenty of activities for kids and clothing brands. If you want high fashion, you of course go to the CBD and affluent areas. There is also Central Bangna which is a fairly big mall and one I frequently visited as a kid, BITEC (A Big convention center and currently constructing an live concert venue ~ BITEC also constantly has events/conventions going on and you can often find resort fairs where you can get hefty discounts on hotels and stuff as well as food and culture events and you can check this all out on their website) and currently under construction is the MASSIVE Bangkok Mall which will be the biggest in Thailand and Southeast Asia (Aside from the huge mall, there will be a very big and modern indoor concert arena and many other really nice buildings) . If you take the yellow line down Srinakarin road, there are malls like Seacon Square, Paradise Park so there is no shortage of malls in this area and with new train lines are becoming more and more easily accessible to eachother. This area will likely be a hub for entertainment and who knows, maybe Anthony can live out his old gaming days since there will be esports events hosted here no doubt.

How you described it really reminds me of living in the states with more land space. Sounds like that area is definitely up and coming! Perfect if you’re planning to live here for years to come with a family. 😂😂😂 My gaming days are over except for Nintendo Switch 😁 We might hit up some PC Bangs here in Thailand one day 😅😅😅
@@ChovyTravel I believe there are of course buses running down BangNa and I also believe there are specific shuttle buses that also take you from the BTS Green Line and Yellow Line stations to MEGA BANGNA though I am not 100% so don't quote me on that but this area is becoming more commute friendly without the need for a private vehicle definitely. There are some good PC cafes here but they are far scarcer than those in Korea so you'll have to look for them (and of course, this means they can get crowded).
I wanna try TopGolf with my friend and family for long time! Will go soon! MEGA is nice place but a bit for for me ,FYI thier IKEA is the 1st in Thailand. Talk about pet friendly mall . I suggest , Central eastville and CDC(Crystal Design Center ) these 2 place is very close for each other and Pet friendly!!! You will meet many pet lover at Central eastvile . CDC has a lot of unique shop to see too !

Mega Bangna and the alley next to it are like a town on itself. The School there is super cool one next to the park. Condo on a side, Massive villages in that alley you walk through for all kind of houses you want and have budget for ,also another 2 schools. I love taking my kid there in the weekend.

You guys really have fun today. I never heard of Top golf, it's good deal. When you ask the girl the you are Thai, you said she spoke English pretty well in Thai. You guys are awesome. Last Monday was a public holidays. That's why many people in that shopping mall. I also love eggtart at KFC.

I think Mega Bangna it's more like a Brea mall in a bigger scale version and kinda has a touch of Fashion Island in Irvine. By the way Mega Bangna is 90% pet friendly, you can literally go with your pets everywhere in the mall as long as they are in the stroller. For the restaurant, pick the one that has fence and by the aisle, so you can put your dog close by, to the other side of the fence of the restaurant next to your table, there are plenty there. Also there is a free dog park at the side of the mall called Mega park :) hope your have a good time with your dog.

I lived in Bangna before and the location was convenient. You can reach Suvarnabhumi Airport and Pattaya quickly if you live there. And สวนหลวง ร.9 is a good park with interesting things to see just like เมืองโบราณ which is around there too.
I lived in this area for almost 20 years but must move back to downtown due to my mum’s health. CBD still has hospitals and clinics for the elderly. The traffic in the Bangna area also quite nightmare. Last week, just for a U-turn, it took me more than one hour.
I live suburb area called Thonburi or Pinklao area. I think it is west of Bangkok. It’s rare to see any foreigners around here. There’s a really big seafood market called Thonburi Market Place.

At the back of this place there are a lot of homes for sale. One of my friend resides there and she loves it because you can find both convenience and peace living there. Getting into the heart of bangkok may be a little difficult but honestly if you don’t really have errands to do in the CBD area then this area is perfectly complete on its own
I live in Onnut-Udomsuk area which is not far from Mega Bangna (approximately 5 miles). This Bangna area offers local vibes and closes to many malls like Seacon Square (pet-friendly), Central Bangna and True Digital Park. You can get everything you need in daily life without going into the city center. Sometimes I wonder why most expats love to live in touristy spots like Asoke & Promphong which is very expensive. Maybe because the convenience of everything in walking distance, whereas in Bangna you need a little of transportation to go around. If you live in Bkk long enough, Udomsuk-Bangna area maybe a better choice because rents are cheaper. This area also has gorgeous, nice, local-vibe and chilled cafes that are worth visiting. 😀😋

It's a shame that mango kakigori sold out, it's my all-time favourite kakigori except for April. Normally they have mango kakigori all year round (or perhaps not at this parlour) but if you happen to visit the shop in April/early May, please try Mayongchid (Marian plum) it's so good that I gave up mango kakigori over this! If you like mid-range mall around Bangkok, you can try to hop to places like Seacon Square Srinakarin, Seacon Square Bangkhae, Central West Gate (with 2nd Ikea), The Mall Bangkapi (these malls can be reached by certain MRT lines) Some other (smaller) malls are also pet-friendly like K-Village, Central Eastville (a big mall) Lastly in case you want to take your kid out to a cafe, I highly suggest to visit Craft (at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok). It's spacious but it can be full of dogs and cats! By the way, the Ikea City at Emsphere is really small, it was like Ikea city shops in Europe unlike Ikea Mega Bangna (1st branch) and Ikea Bangyai (2nd branch) but Ikea City are quite handy for most daily essentials

Bangna area is fast developing, big mall and new condominiums launched every month, but careful about traffic jam, Bangna has awful traffic jam esp. in the evening when people leave from works and at the weekends because the highway is the route to Suvarnabhumi airport and Pattaya (one of the most visited tourist spot)
So different,switching from the hustle and bustle heart of BKK to its outskirt is more interesting.First stop at the Mandarin restaurant till Mega Bangna as your last stop was really thrilled,On top of that,there are two places that worth the hype,i.e.The forestias and True Digital Park.Will you be interested in making film out there?

These places use the same business model as those in the states. There are a lot of gate communities and variety of residential projects to choose from.
In Thailand, we love to keep our drinks cold all the time so we put lots of ice in our drinks (to last the longest in this hot weather). Even when you bring your tumbler to buy drinks most of the time shops will fill your tumbler with ice even if they sell a 22oz and you bring your 30oz tumbler they will stuff your tumbler with ice.😅😁
There will be the biggest shopping mall in Thailand nearby there (opposite BITEC convention center) named Bangkok Mall. Estimate to be opened by next year. A monorail yellow line is nearby ther also. Price of house at Bangna area is a little bit higher than other area.
TBH, if your finance is great. Thailand is one of the best country to live. Good food, good weather, friendly and kind people. Unfortunately, lots of people (including me T-T) doesn't have that much. So, I encourage you to live here !!!
Agreed! That makes sense! Even if you don’t have that much it’s still better to be in Thailand because it’s more affordable. Everywhere else is very expensive at the moment and getting more expensive.

MEGA BANGNA is great and as a whole the BangNa area is developing more and more. In the future, there will be a monorail line that goes down Bangna Road and will connect to Suvarnabhumi airport and to BangNa station on the light green BTS line. Actually my family house is reasonably close to here (about 15 mins by car with decent traffic) and along on Srinakarin road along the yellow monorail line. This area is on the outskirts of Southeastern Bangkok near to Samut Prakarn Province but it is very easy to enter central Bangkok using the train lines.
There are a lot of gated housing states around here with nice houses (but can be pretty expensive though you do get a lot more space on the outskirts but with more and more rail lines being built, land prices have and will rise). Overall, this is a great place to live, and there are several international schools (though very pricey) in the area so although this area is a little more quiet, it definitely isn't short of any necessities. There is also several hospitals nearby and everything you need really; though things may be a little more spaced out so walking is quite inconvenient especially in Thai weather.
MEGA BANGNA opened in 2012 and it was a mall I frequently visited to do Ice Skating but also chill with friends (It has expanded so much since I last visited and I'm sure they will keep expanding). There are luxury brands of course but I think MEGA BANGNA is very much intended for families and suits the demographic of the area, with lots of food options, plenty of activities for kids and clothing brands. If you want high fashion, you of course go to the CBD and affluent areas.
There is also Central Bangna which is a fairly big mall and one I frequently visited as a kid, BITEC (A Big convention center and currently constructing an live concert venue ~ BITEC also constantly has events/conventions going on and you can often find resort fairs where you can get hefty discounts on hotels and stuff as well as food and culture events and you can check this all out on their website) and currently under construction is the MASSIVE Bangkok Mall which will be the biggest in Thailand and Southeast Asia (Aside from the huge mall, there will be a very big and modern indoor concert arena and many other really nice buildings) . If you take the yellow line down Srinakarin road, there are malls like Seacon Square, Paradise Park so there is no shortage of malls in this area and with new train lines are becoming more and more easily accessible to eachother. This area will likely be a hub for entertainment and who knows, maybe Anthony can live out his old gaming days since there will be esports events hosted here no doubt.

@@ChovyTravel I believe there are of course buses running down BangNa and I also believe there are specific shuttle buses that also take you from the BTS Green Line and Yellow Line stations to MEGA BANGNA though I am not 100% so don't quote me on that but this area is becoming more commute friendly without the need for a private vehicle definitely.
There are some good PC cafes here but they are far scarcer than those in Korea so you'll have to look for them (and of course, this means they can get crowded).

Mega Bangna and the alley next to it are like a town on itself. The School there is super cool one next to the park. Condo on a side, Massive villages in that alley you walk through for all kind of houses you want and have budget for ,also another 2 schools. I love taking my kid there in the weekend.

I think Mega Bangna it's more like a Brea mall in a bigger scale version and kinda has a touch of Fashion Island in Irvine. By the way Mega Bangna is 90% pet friendly, you can literally go with your pets everywhere in the mall as long as they are in the stroller. For the restaurant, pick the one that has fence and by the aisle, so you can put your dog close by, to the other side of the fence of the restaurant next to your table, there are plenty there. Also there is a free dog park at the side of the mall called Mega park :) hope your have a good time with your dog.

I lived in Bangna before and the location was convenient. You can reach Suvarnabhumi Airport and Pattaya quickly if you live there. And สวนหลวง ร.9 is a good park with interesting things to see just like เมืองโบราณ which is around there too.

I lived in this area for almost 20 years but must move back to downtown due to my mum’s health. CBD still has hospitals and clinics for the elderly. The traffic in the Bangna area also quite nightmare. Last week, just for a U-turn, it took me more than one hour.

At the back of this place there are a lot of homes for sale. One of my friend resides there and she loves it because you can find both convenience and peace living there. Getting into the heart of bangkok may be a little difficult but honestly if you don’t really have errands to do in the CBD area then this area is perfectly complete on its own

I live in Onnut-Udomsuk area which is not far from Mega Bangna (approximately 5 miles). This Bangna area offers local vibes and closes to many malls like Seacon Square (pet-friendly), Central Bangna and True Digital Park. You can get everything you need in daily life without going into the city center. Sometimes I wonder why most expats love to live in touristy spots like Asoke & Promphong which is very expensive. Maybe because the convenience of everything in walking distance, whereas in Bangna you need a little of transportation to go around. If you live in Bkk long enough, Udomsuk-Bangna area maybe a better choice because rents are cheaper.
This area also has gorgeous, nice, local-vibe and chilled cafes that are worth visiting. 😀😋

It's a shame that mango kakigori sold out, it's my all-time favourite kakigori except for April. Normally they have mango kakigori all year round (or perhaps not at this parlour) but if you happen to visit the shop in April/early May, please try Mayongchid (Marian plum) it's so good that I gave up mango kakigori over this!
If you like mid-range mall around Bangkok, you can try to hop to places like Seacon Square Srinakarin, Seacon Square Bangkhae, Central West Gate (with 2nd Ikea), The Mall Bangkapi (these malls can be reached by certain MRT lines)
Some other (smaller) malls are also pet-friendly like K-Village, Central Eastville (a big mall)
Lastly in case you want to take your kid out to a cafe, I highly suggest to visit Craft (at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok). It's spacious but it can be full of dogs and cats!
By the way, the Ikea City at Emsphere is really small, it was like Ikea city shops in Europe unlike Ikea Mega Bangna (1st branch) and Ikea Bangyai (2nd branch) but Ikea City are quite handy for most daily essentials

Bangna area is fast developing, big mall and new condominiums launched every month, but careful about traffic jam, Bangna has awful traffic jam esp. in the evening when people leave from works and at the weekends because the highway is the route to Suvarnabhumi airport and Pattaya (one of the most visited tourist spot)

In Thailand, we love to keep our drinks cold all the time so we put lots of ice in our drinks (to last the longest in this hot weather). Even when you bring your tumbler to buy drinks most of the time shops will fill your tumbler with ice even if they sell a 22oz and you bring your 30oz tumbler they will stuff your tumbler with ice.😅😁

There will be the biggest shopping mall in Thailand nearby there (opposite BITEC convention center) named Bangkok Mall. Estimate to be opened by next year. A monorail yellow line is nearby ther also. Price of house at Bangna area is a little bit higher than other area.
