The dimensional sub is one of the best parts of the remake. It's one the great equalizers Gamilas had against the the hero status of the Yamato and the heel turn of the crew during Dessler's defeat and on the prison planet is great. The 4 subs in the Battle Against the Comet Empire and the creation of a UN Cosmo Force sub extends the UX-01's reputation even more into the franchise. I hope that Gamilas figures out a way to put a sub dimensional drive on a Zoelgut sized sub, or even stealth fighters, because that would awesome.
What I find stupid is that the garmillas empire can do this, they use antimatter cannons which are about as powerful as shock cannons, they have fighters on par with earth ones, they have faster ships, they use actual honest to god wave motion engines and have apparently known for years about the geshtam fields that allow for the creation of a geshtam wall, the wave motion shield equivalent, and yet they somehow still don't have them, I mean ok the time fault is an excuse for earth building an entire fleet so quickly but the garmillas empire controls presumably thousands of planets, and is more likely to force workers to work in worse conditions for longer, are we seriously supposed to believe the supposedly militaristic empire that uses wave motion engines in all of their 20,000 ships or whatever they have somehow has only just started prototyping wave motion guns and shields? It just doesn't make sense. Edit, a clarification, a large part of this complaint is that apparently the dessler cannon was under development before the war began, so after millennia of knowing about the potential to build one, they only started doing it a few years before a war with a faction who also developed one.
@@sneeki8082 a brutal militaristic dictatorship that hasn't pursued obvious military technology that they know can be done and is literally the thing that costs them the war and 7000 ships. It is simply nonsense that they wouldn't have pursued this the moment they discovered the potential.
@@Feanor6450 mass production+ eventual corruption+ iscandar is literally right on their turf. If the garmillans were open to making it, you know what Starsha would've done. garmillas isn't exactly spread out evenly as much as youd think, those 20,000 ships are managing the magellanic clouds and the various outposts
@@sneeki8082 fair but even deslers newly built Deusura 2 did not have the Geshtam wall and it had a desler cannon so I don't think they cared much about Iscanders opinions by that point. And surely they would have fitted them to something, even a single Geshtam wall equipped zoelguut would be a direct threat to the Yamato. I'm not saying they would have mass produced it, I'm complaining they knew about it for years and didn't even make one.
