- On Friday April 5th 2013 I chased Caltran's new NPCU to Stockton, Ca. After I decided to stay and catch some action on the BNSF. There was more than just "some" action.
-Just south of the Stockton Intermodal Facility Some power is moving cars into place for the move for points south. A Fakebonnet can be seen in the consist as well.
-Stopping on the main is a BNSF Grainer with all BNSF Grain cars as well as a heritage 1 painted C44-9.
- At Carrolton Rd. BNSF leads it's consist of inter modals south on the Bakersfield Sub.
- About 5 minutes after, The Grainer with BNSF flies after the Intermodal.
- 30 Mins. later, A BNSF manifest creeps up on me and flies north towards Stockton at Escalon, Ca. It's a quiet zone here, yet people get killed here. I wonder why?
- Just south of Escalon, Amtrak 702 streaks past South Harrold Ave. with CDTX 2051.
- Back in Stockton, a UP TOFC finishes crossing the BNSF Stockton Sub. as Amtrak train 714 sits in the station.
- 714 Departs Stockton, crosses the UP, and almost rams an SUV. 8303 and AMTK 7 are the head in units.
- A Roseville bound UP manifest crosses the BNSF with a track crew at the crossing.
-As the Fresno sub is occupied by the manifest, a west bound BNSF Local comes to a stop waiting for a signal.
- An Approach Medium is given to the crew of BNSF 2173 West, and blasts out of town with a blue bonnet.
- On a sunny monday afternoon a Stockton bound Intermodal from Richmond rolls by Pinole Shores.
- About 10 minutes after, a light power move rolls towards Port Chicago with more GE power.
- Finally in Richmond, A pair of Bluebonnets charges up hill in a quiet zone with bare tables. It was sure nice to see something else other than UP.
