love this!! only suggestion for me I would love to know where some of these shots were taken... as in were in lathrop.?. was that the old wp track or sp track or new track? and the crossover lots of trains through there and going past the industry that was cool!.. most of the valley lines are north south...? containers through there a main line?? @@yrntaffeta7004 The Engineer in the Front Engine controls the Engine at the Rear of the Train and sometimes when the train is extra long they have a DPU / Distributed Power Unit in the middle of the train and when going up mountains. Most of the trains are longer now because the Railroad went to Precision Scheduled Railroading. Since railroads aimed to build long trains that would move faster, if a train didn’t meet a specific length requirement, it could be canceled (or “annulled,” as they say in the rail industry), leaving customers without service for the day. PSR means longer trains and the probability of derailing more than short trains.
