LOL ours is a 1995 and yes ugly cushions! Curtains were ugly too but we got new ones and I just sewed the plastic pieces onto them. I'll be doing covers for the cushions over the winter. I have a corner cushion too and I know it will be a bit of a pain lol.
I have used some amazon kitchen bench covers, they have elastic in the corners and fit good enough to get on the road when your better fit cover are in the wash or a spill makes a change necessary, and the price was right.

We got a 2007 that someone started gutting but left the cushions. I will be recovering them. Using a fitted sheet is a great idea.
