Yuno walking on the post-apocalyptic desert as this majestic song plays (especially 0:00 - 0:16) is one of my favorite artistic depictions of hopelessness. I can't get enough of it
Yea the first 15 seconds where Yuno is walking in the sand reminds me of the anime Desert Punk. Imo, it sounds melancholic but soothing at the same time. Its just my opinion.

I think it's literally her experience after the first World, her original world, was destroyed from the game. She roams the remains as its new god unable to bring anyone back or fix things (not even being able to kill herself as she tries drowning). She suffers until she finally snaps and goes back in time, to a new reality, where the events of the anime takes place

Well she is dead but the 3rd world version of her is still alive and she has the 2nd world Yuno memory. She technically is the same Yuno that comes to Yukki but isn't, hard to explain but rewatch it and you'll know what I mean.
The chess symbiology is great. The Queen is the most powerful piece in the game like how Yuno is the strongest and you can see she successfully defeated all the other pieces. But to her it is a loss just like chess since Yuki the king is not alive. So, she forced resigned to forfeit and restart the game since. Remember she would strongly prefer if Yuki would kill her so that he could be the last piece standing over her continuing to kill him and stand alone.
Thats one thing I love about this anime. It messes with you head like a giant 1000 piece puzzle. Once you add the pieces together, it all makes sense. It fascinating really imo.

I realize that at some point in the anime I hated yuno so much. At the end of a an episode, this ending came on, I figured out that all yuno wanted was to be happy with yuki. This anime touched my heart, I'm positive it touched everyone else's too. The visuals of the ending though, like the background, gave off an abandonment vibe. Like the world was empty. I put myself in yuno's shoes and realised that I would be scared out of my mind if that was my situation. Edit: 0:00 - 0:03 are the best parts
Not gonna lie, i literaly cringed so hard in some parts, i am 15 but i still act like a primary school kid whenever i watch something that contains romantical things, i just finished this anime in 3 days which is so quick for me since i only watched 2 anime before this at total which were Death Note and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, i watched this anime quickly so i could stop watching it and hating it, though i feel a bit empty because of massive amount of free time now, lol.

Almost ℅90 of the show was yukki being fucking useless while yuno saves his ass on fights, and the end made was like some fangirl forced the author to make a unrealistic good ending. There was a TON of plot-holes.not even gonna tell that they killed that eye dude so quickly (to be honest, he was a pretty intresting character killing hım quickly doesnt make a fucking sense to me) but not gonna lie, first-second timeline yuno conflict was good. Anyways,if we just go to the point, i hated it but i found myself have nothing to hate after finishing it that i felt empty.

!SPOILERS! they good thing is that the ova (episode 27) explains the ending of episode 26 on how both end up together after Yuki waited for 10 millennia for Yuno from the third world to regain her memories and be able stay with the second world Yuki to make a new world together where both will be the gods of the game and world. Sad but happy ending at the same time.
When I first watched this at 13 all the animes I had known were typical shonen stuff like Naruto, bleach, dragon ball, sonic X, etc. future diary was my first step into more deep less on brand anime that showed me things I wasn't ready for and blew my mind and soul into pieces. This song was carved into my little 13 year old mind for a year feeling hopeless until I found the secret ending and I felt better.
So I've a really old playlist of music on RUclips. Many videos have vanished from it over the years but regardless, the first video that still remains is this one. The nostalgia is too real and causes deep reflections upon my life and the times where I've been. And it causes that probably very common human issue of past eras, lost time, possible futures, and the like. If given the choice just to relive my memories as if I were having them again, that'd be superior to any heaven offered. Keep your magic sky man worship. Just let me examine what my life is, was, and could have been.

I started crying when Yuno and Yuki kissed for the last time, I cried throughout the whole “where are they now” segment, it intensified when it showed they didn’t even know each other in the third timeline, I cried through the ending, then I paused before the last murmur bit and cried for another 10 minutes with a constant cycle of thinking how Yuki is never gonna see his parents or Yuno and that their new incarnations never even met. It has been approximately 5 minutes since I had that experience... I have never been one to cry that aggressively from entertainment But seriously the closest I ever got to this was in death parade, but that didn’t last nearly as long at the end, although that definitely has the record for how much a show of that length could make me cry throughout in that short amount of episodes

It would kinda make sense imo because it feels like a cliffhanger when they meet each other again as reincarnation of themselves on earth as kids. It interesting how they made it tbh.
im happy with the ending as far as it not needing another season, but i do think that there would be value in making a movie to give more closure ,since the very last scene brought up some a good opportunity to give a more complete ending.

5 months without a comment, this is by far my favorite anime and it has some of the greatest theme songs out there for an anime

Tinha um jogo o Yandere simulator, que a muito tempo tava hypado no RUclips acho q lá por 2015, e muita gente fazia vídeo zuando o jogo pelo fato de ser uma menina obcecada por um menino. Eu sabia que era inspirado em um anime, aí eu fui assistir só pra ver qualé q eras, no final eu nem esperava que o anime era tão profundo assim Kkkkkk, com um jogo cheio de diários, e cheio de plot twist e etc... No final amei o anime kkkkkk

This anime was amazing especially after watching the ova
I started crying when Yuno and Yuki kissed for the last time, I cried throughout the whole “where are they now” segment, it intensified when it showed they didn’t even know each other in the third timeline, I cried through the ending, then I paused before the last murmur bit and cried for another 10 minutes with a constant cycle of thinking how Yuki is never gonna see his parents or Yuno and that their new incarnations never even met. It has been approximately 5 minutes since I had that experience...
I have never been one to cry that aggressively from entertainment
But seriously the closest I ever got to this was in death parade, but that didn’t last nearly as long at the end, although that definitely has the record for how much a show of that length could make me cry throughout in that short amount of episodes

If you haven’t you should watch Darling in the Franxx, it’s a really good anime but it’s really depressing in the end sort of like this anime

@@jau.tumn14 that is also a good but sad anime. I wonder if they will make a season 2 where it shows Hiro and Zero Two being together again in their reincarnated bodies. It would kinda make sense imo because it feels like a cliffhanger when they meet each other again as reincarnation of themselves on earth as kids. It interesting how they made it tbh.

im happy with the ending as far as it not needing another season, but i do think that there would be value in making a movie to give more closure ,since the very last scene brought up some a good opportunity to give a more complete ending.

When I first saw this I thought that Yuno somehow broke his heart so bad that when he won, he made her walk for eternity in an endless desert. Idk why
