Natural Colour Palette OPEN CUP - Unexpected results - Acrylic Paint Pour

- I decided to go with a neutral palette for this acrylic pour. The idea of this painting was to create a marble effect. I think open cup may have been a bit large for this canvas but you have to work wit what you've got. I used the deco art pearl again in this piece but got some unexpected reactions. This little experiment turned out lovely and very different and I learnt something again about the paints interacting. Enjoy!

Beautiful results, I love the color combination, gorgeous!
Thanks so much Cindy 😊
That’s a great composition even before you tilt. Great colors together too. Those small lines are just the right touch. In this one, the cells detracts some, but they have a mind of their own. Love the total look.
Thanks so much Marlyda . I appreciate your feedback 😊
Love it! Great blend, color palette and movement

Watching you create, is relaxing and fun.. Makes me want to get back in my oils again.. Never thought how I 've missed out on being more creative with paints.. Thanks Fiona😊❤🌺. Lately I've been doing diamond painting, but always watch painting and drawling videos.. Love your work I'm your new fan 🌺🌺from the New Jersey, USA🇺🇸
Thanks Malinda! ☺I'm just starting my journey and there is so much to explore! What is Diamond Painting?
It's nothing like what you are doing now, but it has helped me with my anxiety. And it allows me to still do something fun and crafty. Diamond painting is almost like painting by numbers but gems or small diamonds. Each photo comes with it's own chart to which gem goes where. They come in different sizes. The photo has a sticky surface, with a clear film on top to protect it. So you peel back the film in the area you are working on to stick the gems on. I found that are mostly 3D, but come in 5D and higher also.. I started making 5D diamond painting sun catchers. 5D is the bigger size of gems. These are fun and take less time then photos.. I'm sure I'm missing some things out but there is kits that give you the tools you need for that photo, which helps. I started getting into these about 2 years ago. Plus I have learned more about watercolors too.. I love art, and there is many forms of expression. It's feels more natural with a brush and paint in hand but when I can't these are just a few things I ponder about with..🌼🌺😊
@@malindakidder1308 Ahh yes. I know what you're talking about. I know someone that did that and thought it was really cool 😍
Lovely!!! So peaceful.
Thank you! 😊
I absolutely love this one. It is simply stunning! The colours are fabulous. I have just started and have done only 3 very small paintings. It's delightful to see how they take shape and mesmorising to watch other people creating them. I just love it so much. Keep up the great work Fiona! 😊
Thanks Marion. I did my first few pours on tiles as they were cheap and I had no idea what I was doing. (My first 2 videos) then I tried out a canvas 😆. Experiment and have fun 😍
Beautiful ❤
Thanks Ann ☺

Hi, if you're looking for tips on creating the marble effect, feel free to reach out. The marble effect is my most popular video. 🙂
Thank you so much Shannon! Could you tell me what you favourite brands of metallics are for the best shimmer/shine. 😍
@Fiona's Creative Canvas Sure! DecoArt for all metallics except silver, I use Artist's Loft. I'm all about the shimmer! 🖌🙂
Yeah thanks! I've only 7sed one deco art metallic and It worked well. I'll be getting more soon. We don't have Artist loft here though.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
😊
That’s gorgeous. Do you have a video where you share your paint pouring ratios/mixtures? Thanks 😊
Thanks Caroline. No I don't yet. I'm still experimenting as I've only been acrylic pouring for 4 months. But I think it's something I'll do later in the year. Thank you ☺
@@fionascreativecanvas looking forward to it, we’ve been painting fir about the same time! C 😃

Hi Fiona, greetings from The Netherlands. Just wanted to let you know that your painting inspired me. I,m a paintpourer too.
I just watched a video from COZ creations and she inspired me with her neutral palette. I,m curious what pouring medium you used on this one. Would you like to share it? . My fav mixture for the best results are floetrol ( the one we get in Holland is Owatrol and ridiculous expensive compared with the Flood US brand. ) plus Liquitex pouring medium and a shot of GAC800 if i want defined lines. But for an open cup maybe another mix. So thumbs up, i,m gonna try it for sure. Bye🖐️
Hi, it's been awhile since I made this but I'd say it was a mix of Floetrol ( I use the Australian version as it's all we have) and Liquitex pouring medium. I've just purchased some GAC 800 to try in my mix looking forward to using it. 😀
Bonsoir. Serait t'il possible d'avoir les dosages des produits les noms des produits bravo 👍
Hello, the paints I used were some Mont Marts Metallics and Titanium White, Amsterdam Buff White, a mix of colours to create Brown and Decoart Extreme sheen Pearl. I believe I mixed these with Liquitex pouring medium and Australian floetrol but It was a little while ago. Hope that helps.
