- This is a basic emerger pattern that I like to use for all different mayflies. Changing the colors and sizes allows you match almost any mayfly hatch. I even like to tie these to imitate drakes.

Great video. Very clearly presented.
Great tutorial.
I love the fly it's amazing keep up the good work
Thanks!
You ever tried whip-finishing on the post? That's how I usually finish my emergers. Awesome fly and tightlines!
I have, I don't see anything wrong with it, except that sometimes it pushes the hackle up the post a little and I like the hackle to be near the body. But I've never had one fall apart so I think doing it on the post is fine. Thanks!
Perfect👍👍👍
Thanks!
The Turkey Biots you have are a lot longer than what I have seen. I've hunted for longer ones. Where or what brand do you use?
Generally I use nature's spirit. The ones in this video are nature's spirit. Pay special attention to where you are pulling the boys from the feather. My favorite biots are in the middle as the bottom and top ones are different shapes and often are too short/slender. I like to cut the feather in half and start at the bottom of the top half.
